Yes and No, yes because I've had my work published in a travel magazine several times. Nope because I was hired as a ghost writer pitching for a writer friend who got sick. So technically it wasn't my article.

I nave not sold any literary work online. Its because i have not done any literary online work yet. I hope someday I could do it to earn extra money online.

It's actually easy if you're writing a lot. Though, there's no guarantee your work will be accepted. We're all free to try out websites with this feature. They're mostly freelancing sites for writers.

I hope for your success as well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I hope you'll sold one, one day. Just keep on writing and sending it to publishers. Don't give up.

I agree that technically speaking it is not your article but in truth and it is a fact that you were the one who wrote it. That clearly means that you have a published work for your writing and that you can do it again if you like. What I mean is that once you get published it will give you the confidence to write again with the thought that you can again get your work published.

I have few fiction stories some of which are on amazon. And some are yet to be published. I hope to see that in near future if I can successfully publish the work. I think selling our work takes a lot of effort. Like proof reading and also some of the really good flow for the story. And that shows you how that works out with the literary way of doing things. I think on that note you can see that writing stories and publishing online isn't that bad.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jeffreyjose48
Its very good that you have few fiction stories on the amazon. May all your stories be published successfully. I agree that writing stories and publishing online is not that bad.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah. I hope that I can go online completely. I just have to club all the related stories together and move ahead from there onwards. I have seen some people having success with that. So hopefully i wish to make a plan that can be helpful in such condition. I guess we see how that happens as well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
true, somehow it is a great start.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's cool. The next problem after publishing is marketing. Both are necessary in order to succeed as a writer. You need good writing combined with excellent book marketing.

People will only buy your book if it's good. And they can only do that if they're aware of its existence. So both are completely necessary to launching your career as an author.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes. Some of the folks told me to get a website that has the option to download your work. And also have some page on facebook. I am going that route now. And hopefully I can convert things better in that context. I don't see career as an author if the earning from the publishing is not even 50K minimum in USD.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's a very high minimum threshold. It can be done if you keep going at it. The true test of any business endeavor is patience and persistence.

You must keep going no matter how discouraging things can be. You never know when you might just get your target audience.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes the reason being 50K USD should be enough for many to leave their job for say atleast 2 years. If they are working on small wages job. And if you can see that books are harder to sale because even though low cost. They need lot of buyers for earning consistently. So think that's one reason we have to keep the job while working on book.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
You're right. Many have kept their jobs while working on selling their books. It's up to the person if they'll leave their current occupation.

I guess it's okay to do so once you reach a good amount of consistent income.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Yes the thing is that if you make like 10K USD a year or even a month. That won't last forever. And you have to do something about that. So not leaving the job is a good start. In such case you can start with the side hustle in book writing. Then again amount of effort you drop into it decides the outcome.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, and also you need promotion every now and then to have consistent sales.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Wow, congrats to you. Well at least you've already started doing it and selling, you have extra income. I agree with you it is hard to sell literary works online and you need to be careful with typos and grammar errors.

I've sold someone of my articles online. It wasn't fun since clients can be very strict with their demands. So I now do it less often. I prefer writing without the pressure of someone else's expectations. There are many ways of earning online without having to sell your articles.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Barida
Yeah, sometimes the clients would want to have more and this is just about personal preferences. The major thing to do is to focus on doing that which makes you happy and excited and not things that take the joy away from you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's a very good advice. I'm sure many people will benefit from what you said. Being happy in your work is essential to a wonderful life. Because when you enjoy what you do for a living, then it adds value to you instead of taking away from it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. Clients can be very strict with their demands. There are many ways of earning online without having to sell articles.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Others have found success in that department. So it's only my preference to not write for clients. I'm sure other writers can meet the demands of such complex articles. A lot of freelancers are smart and highly capable of producing quality content.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I agree with you, it is really hard to sell online if your clients are a little jerks and demanding and you can't do anything but to do as what they told you.

I've sold a couple of things to magazines! I think that honestly there's a market out there for just about any type of writing to be sold - it's just a matter of finding out about those places. My main content involves writing about travel, and there's so much in that realm to write about Have you sold any of your literary work online?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
It's fun to imagine ourselves getting published in magazines. I remember before the internet became a thing, magazines were all the hype. If you got featured in one, then you're doing something right. But now there are so many blogs and sites that compete with printed copies.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Honestly, I never tried selling my literary works. I am new in the writing industry and I think I don't have enough confidence in my own work. I believe that I need to learn a lot of things about writing. But I admire those people who were able to sell their works online. I think to be able to sell your work online for the first time will give me a priceless happiness.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I think that often we are our own worst critics and sometimes a fear of failing can really hold you back from putting yourself out there. Sometimes though I think you’ve just gotta dive in at the deep end! Even if the person you pitch an article to critiques it, it can often be something that helps you grow into a better writer! Have you sold any of your literary work online?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

superlicca
You are right and thanks for your kind words. Maybe, I am just afraid of criticisms and not sure if I will be able to manage my own emotional reactions. But I know that a constructive criticism will help to improve my work. It just needs to come with a solution.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I agree. It's one way of going about it. It's up to the person if they want to see where it takes them. Failure in writing is always room for improvement. Imagine it as some form of post editing. You'll gradually learn to enhance your prose.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Yes, it's something that has to start with you. Your experience will show a lot in your writing. As well as your editing skills. So it's okay to take your time before selling your work.

It's better to be ready. Just keep writing. Someday you'll be confident enough to showcase your work to your target audience.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Just practice your writing and you'll be able to sold your articles and works online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I am almost done with an article that I am writing and I have to say that it is something that is going to give me a lot of profits in the future. Aside from that, I have not sold my works as I only write for clients that pays me for that.

I'm still on the process of of creating a collection of my literary works. Sadly, I don't have the confidence to sell something that I have written after I completed it. I want to have a collection and after finishing them completely, I can have options of what to sell or publish first and so on. Hopefully I could finish them at the end of this year.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I hope you do. Collections have a lot of value. They're stronger together since they have some sort of connection with one another. Whether it be the theme or the story itself. Just try not to procrastinate once you're done writing and editing them..

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
I wish you luck on that and I hope you'll trust yourself enough and believe that you are great at what you are doing and if you think you aren't great, practice well. Good luck again.

I've never thought of selling my literary work online because I haven't found anyone who has done it. Sadly, articles can just be written by anyone, regardless of skill and grammar, and still be posted as an article online. If I was a website owner looking to buy content for my site, I don't think I'd pay people to write articles for it to be honest. It's not worth it.

Well, I am a complete newcomer when it comes to the field of writing and freelancing. I am trying my hand on everything that I find interesting right now, will I want some of my articles published in magazines or any other similar print media? yes, someday I will definitely want my articles to be published in print. It will surely boost my confidence and motivate me more to keep on working hard to achieve my literary goals.

Not really yet, I don't sell literary works online and I don't make one also.

Honestly I have never tried it before to sold any literary work online since it is a tough job for me, but I am willing to try it if I would have the chance to make it since I heard that many people are making a great penny in this particular works.

Yes,I have thought of selling my works and No I haven't sold any of them. I still don't have that confidence to sell my work as I thought that they will likely return it. I know, confidence is a must but I just can't help being anxious with my work as I can read some other better work. But I really want to sell them, I just don't know how to start. I know it's a good source of income as your only investment is hardwork, dedication and a creative mind, I still don't have the guts to sell them. Hoping I could get this resolved soon.

I think what you are waiting for is that a perfect timing for your creations. Time will come for sure that you will overcome whatever you holding back to sell or even publish your work. You actually feel it in yourself if the right time has come.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's unfortunate, you should believe in yourself and your skills, it might not be good for you but it might be good to other people.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I actually not did that but I am thinking now to write an article and sell it in magazine whether its online magazine or a hard copy magazine. I need to find an interesting article so that their will interest in it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, you should because a lot of magazines pays a lot for one article.

Well, yes, I have a few self-published books out there. Have I made my fortune? No definitely not. I am on my way to publishing another. I also did fairly well on a now defunct site where anyone could post anything and put stories and articles there for a while. Other than that, yes I have made money from writing reviews, articles, product descriptions and rewriting for websites, but all of these go under the name of the person I was writing for. You can certainly make money writing online, but very few make an actual living from it. It is usually pin money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
That's unfortunate to write in someone's name, the credit should be yours. Well, congrats on your published books and the upcoming books.

Writing for magazines can be quite profitable. Some magazines pay up to $1500 for an accepted article. Many that publish fiction pay per word but depending on the length of your story, you could make some decent money off of it.

Many years ago, I tried selling some jokes to the readers digest but none were accepted. It was a long shot . . .

That said, I haven't really seriously considered writing magazine articles but maybe one day, I'll do more than just think about it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
That's really unfortunate, but it's ok still send some maybe they'll accept it this time.

Does making essay and research paper for other people count in this sense? The agreement was done online. Any way, I'm not that hard up in making essays or research papers so I charge my lazy classmates a certain fee. High School and College was a time where I understood the value of making money and pulling stuff out of my behind was a skill that I developed in school and it wasn't hard to make it into a small money making opportunity.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes it is, wow that's a really hard job. I can't even do that for my own research.

When it comes to Online Articles I've written a few which got accepted in several sites. Its the Top Ten kind of articles and a few years back there where sites which pay good money for those kind of articles. One of my regrets is that I stopped writing for a few years and when i decided to give it another try well, they can't accommodate me anymore.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's unfortunate, but be positive and keep on writing their might be other sites that will accommodate you.

You can sell your literary works online by posting it on some website that offers buy and sell of the specific product that you have, from there a lot of buyers can see your product since it's online so that they will have a lot of idea about it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, there are a lot of website who offers money through writing and they have a decent pay.

Yes, I guess so. I work as a part-time writer for someone who pays me to create articles for him. Meaning he pays me for every piece I turn over to him. However, it's not under my name anymore after publishing. So technically, yes.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's great. It's awesome to find others having found success in writing articles. Not everyone can do it. This especially true since they're very strict with quality and deadlines.

I had a different job back then, but my employer at the time recommended me to another client and asked me if I can do writing tasks for him. He was great because he had provided me with references and study materials to learn to be more factual with my work.

No, I haven't yet. And I don't have any plans on selling my literary works online, if I will sell it I would just sell it in person not online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's very specific. I like that you're careful with selling your work. It's nice to know how much we value our writing. Also, selling it in person makes it more special.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, true. But there are a lot trusted website online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Why only in person? There are a plethora of clients online who might find your articles valuable on their respective niches. If you're worrying that you might get scammed or something, ask for a fee upfront.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. There are a lot of sites now a days that pays for literary works. Magazines, and other books. Also there are websites like fiverr that helps you find a client.

I totally agree with what you said. It's best if you will show directly to a person and you can even answer some question to them directly if they to ask some questions. Also, you are sure that you really are selling to the person and you that this person is really interested with your work.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

nrnlss
Yes, but it is really hard because you have a lot competition.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Why? It is better if the transaction is online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

No, I haven't done that yet, because I don't do any literary work, in the near future maybe I will going to do that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I don't really understand the question. Do you mean any work as a writer or fiction? I have sold lots of my articles online. However I wouldn't call them fiction. I write widely in the health niche. I've sold my articles to clients and to one publication. I've written for loads of magazines online unfortunately it's been free. However I have gotten alot of free traffic and publicity for my website. So in a way you could say it's paid of.

I am not a literary writer but I have sold some of my articles to a major magazine here called Animal Scene. They were actually meant for blogs that we tried to submit to the magazine. Fortunately most of my submissions were published and paid. It is a nice feeling to have a published article because I feel like a full-fledged writer now. Maybe I would be successful if I would have my own blog.

I haven't really thought about selling my literary works. I honestly didn't know it was possible to do that. Usually I just keep my work to myself, or on rare occasions I show them to people I am comfortable with. I keep them all compiled in an envelope. This is something to think about but I guess I could sell a few.

I have sold a lot of my articles and blog posts. But that is all. I have an ebook that I really want to write but just have yet to get to it. I love to be busy with my writing, as there are days when writing is very relaxing for me. Other times, it is just something that I need to do to have a productive day.
