    Which was the worst SEO method you ever used? What provoked you to use it in the first place and how did you know that it was not right for you?

    You can get away with google slap if you just do it gradually.
    The worst I did was to ask links from a reputable sites. it just don't work.

    To me, the worst SEO method would be one that takes me away from my writing projects, forums, blogs and other paid work. If it doesn't take much time but gives results then i would consider it to be the best SEO method.

    Forum profile links was my worst method. A lot of work, very little effects all together. I also bought a couple of packages of similar backlinks done throw blackhat methods, all were crap.

    I Found profile links from forums are the worst way to increase our ranking in search engine,they are just waste of time and money.

    Is that reciprocal linking the same as cross linking? It’s like scratch my back and I will scratch yours. We have that on our websites the 4 of them have links with each other. And if that is not good then probably Google had penalized our sites already. But maybe reciprocal linking is different than cross linking.
