Do you host yor own website? or Use other company?

So do you host your own website(s) on your own hosting service? or Do you just pay for hosting from someone else or another company? I do think hosting them yourself would save some cash, but in my opinion I like just to pay my hosting bill and let the company deal with all the issues that may happens such as servers, downtime, etc.. Do you host yor own website? or Use other company? What your thoughts? Do you host yor own website? or Use other company?

The free hosting ads, etc.. not annoy you though? FreeForums, Forumotion, etc.. all restrict a lot of access to parts of your website which is just a pain and unworkable.. Well they did anyways, when I used to use them a few years ago. Do you host yor own website? or Use other company?

There are many reliable free hosting services online that won't push ads onto your site or restrict your access. These sites will let you set up a database and host a forum of your own using free or paid forum software. When I first started my forum, I was on a free host site with no ads and that's where I installed the first version of my forum. The only thing was how they didn't have Softaculous to install scripts. Also, I was worried about forum traffic/bandwidth. That was a big deal for me, so I upgraded. Otherwise, it was really great.

I would love to buy my own web hosting so as not to deal with the hassles of a web hosting company. But, then who would handle any technical issues if they came up?

I was in a similar situation where I wanted the freedom of having root access to my server and be able to run scripts (like VPS/Dedicated Server) but had no time to deal with all the hassle of maintaining. After hitting my head at dozen of places I landed on media temple's shared hosting. Yes, they do cost you a bit but the service & customer care is just awesome.

I don't have a hosting service. However, I am thinking to start a reseller hosting service. Until then I will be hosting my website with another company. Currently I am with namecheap.
