Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

No one made money right away from blogging, they made it over time through countless posts about something they loved or something they just wanted to profit from, and they kept doing this work because they knew it would take time to start bringing in some sales or sponsorships.  Too many bloggers today get online and think "I'm going to make $3,000 a day through blogging!" but they quickly get discouraged because it isn't that simple.

I've had $3,000+ days, but it was never from blogging directly, and you can do it too if you just focus.  You can't think that blogging alone will make you a bunch of money, you need to mix in a lot of other things like online marketing and SEO as well as partnering and sponsorships to bring in the real money.  People won't just find your content because you wrote it and now it's visible on your website.  You need to optimize and promote it for people to see, then they will start to gravitate towards your business or blog, and they will likely stick around for more posts you've already written.

Blogging isn't the easiest thing to do, even though you can get a WordPress website up and running within a day, and people need to understand it's a lot of work before they actually get started.  Treat it like a job, not a hobby, and you will likely get more passionate about it and profit more in a short amount of time compared to anyone else out there.

Find the right niche for you and your profits
I always tell beginning bloggers to write about something they already know a lot about and have a passion for.  This is because they don't have to do a bunch of research on the topics, they already know what people want to read, and that means you'll save time and produce more content.

Now, if you're already an experienced blogger and know what to do, you can jump into a different niche you're not familiar with but you know it's more profitable, and start churning out content.  You just need to remember that the more difficult the niche is, the longer it will take to profit, but you'll likely make more down the road after you get enough traffic coming in Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

Set a requirement of 1 blog post/article per day
If you don't have goals, you won't be successful online, and setting a 1 article a day requirement will help you hit a goal of at least 20 articles and blog posts per month.  I'm not saying that you have to log onto your computer every single day and type up an article, I'm saying you need to write an average of 1 article per day in order to stay on track.  Sit down one day and write up 10 articles or blog posts and do it again in 5 days.  In just 2 days you've already hit your goals, and you will have a ton of content ready for everyone to read.

I write for Seocheckout and I try to average 3 discussions per day.  I don't get online every single day to write my content, but I submit a bunch of content that is later scheduled, and that's why you might see a discussion of mine go live and I'm not even online Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable  Right now I'm writing between 5 and 7 discussions each day, which puts me over the 3 a day goal that I set for myself, and that means I can take a day or two off and not feel like I wasted anything.  If you can stick to your small goals, you will hit bigger ones with ease, and my bigger ones are the number of posts that I publish Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable  I've already hit 1,000 and now I'm shooting for 1,500 then 2,000 Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

Optimize everything you possibly can
If you're not optimizing your content, you're just wasting time on each blog post you publish, and this is because you won't get any love from the search engines.  Google, Yahoo!, and Bing want to see optimized content in order to know where you should be placed within the SERPs.  They can get an idea of what you're writing about, but it's up to you to give them certain signals so they don't have to search, and that's essentially what SEO is Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

Optimize your content and do it right the first time so you don't have to go through your content a second time and waste a week or two just editing everything in order to show the search engines what you've written.  Spend a few minutes now to save a few hours later and you will be happy you did Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

Have a great design or theme that has you stand out
When someone lands on your blog or website they want to see you're cutting edge and visually appealing.  A lot of bloggers start out with free blogs, which actually hold you back, so go set up a WordPress blog and upload a premium theme from ThemeForest so you can be seen as more of a professional.

If you're posting to your blog every day, using high quality and vibrant images, you will notice your pageviews increasing with each person that lands on one of your posts Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

Be sure to have an opt-in form
One of the biggest things with blogging is you need to have an opt-in form so you can collect emails and get people coming back after a week or two to read more content you've posted.  You can set up a $30 a month MailChimp account and automate hundreds of emails going out so you don't really have to focus on anything with your newsletters.  After the 6th or 7th email someone gets, they will either become dedicated to your blog or they will unsubscribe, so just watch your numbers and see if they keep growing.

If your list starts to unsubscribe a lot, you might be sending out too many emails in a week, so hold it back and your list will stay healthy.

Build relationships with niche related websites
If you're just blogging for profits and not selling your own services or products, you'll want to build relationships with other niche related websites and your profits will likely increase.  You can sell them ad space later on down the road or you can write up reviews about them in exchange for a mention to their entire list.  The bigger the website you're building a relationship with, the better it will be for you in the end, so work with every website in your niche since you don't know who's going to get big lol.

Being patient is key to profiting through blogging
When it comes to blogging, it's one of the slowest ways to profit online, but it has a good user retention rate if done right.  Your work will compile in a good way, make you more money, and this takes a lot of patience.  If you're not a patient person, you might want to avoid blogging, because you'll start to slack off and not hit any of your goals, which will mess up your entire blog quicker than you think it will.

In conclusion
If you can follow everything I said above, you will likely have a blog that looks great and is loaded with content.  People will gravitate towards you over time and they will stick around because of your opt-in email form.  Don't advertise every chance you get because people will start to avoid you, and we all know that's not a good thing lol.  Run your blog like a business and you will begin to see the fruits of your labor start paying off eventually Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable  And one of the best things about blogging is it's a stable income source if you build it right Blogging for profits takes a lot of patience and research to be profitable

I launched my first self hosted blog in 2015. Even though I launched my blog in 2015, I was writing online since a long time and I already had a good graso of SEO and digital marketing. Long before I launched my blog, I was already earning money as an online writer. based on my experience, skills and knowledge I though I would make more money from my blogs. However, it took many months to see a cent and even more to see a buck on my ad network dashboard. After blogging for three years, finally my blogs have started to generate revenue. While it is still low, but I believe over the time the revenue will increase.

I appreciate your patience and hardwork for your site. Eventhough your revenue came just after 3 years, we should take this as a blessing and I am happy for you. I could see that you really work hard for your articles, that's why I really hope that you can really get a good profit for your articles. Just stay and improve with what you are doing right now and success will come over soon.

Hard work and patience really pays off. A farmer waits for the harvest of his crops patiently. Rice that was planted can be harvested after four months. Trees will be harvested for years.

I think the same is true in blogging. You really need to stick on doing what you are doing. Quitters never win. Winners never quit. Profit comes after hard work and patience.

I like your words of wisdom, it is really inspiring. I'm sure that with great effort and dedication, everything will pay off in the end. You just don't have to surrender and keep on fighting. Patience really is the key for everyone's success. No success can happen overnight, everyone should strive hard to achieve it.

I wish I had started blogging early on. If I had launched my blog at the same time when I started writing on a writing site, I would already have developed authority blogs and generated consistent revenue. Blogging is something like you plant a seed today and you will eat fruits many years later.

I like how you connected blogs to a tree. Planting tree reuiqres time and effort to tak care and grow. Just like blogging, you will nit be able to gain something from the start but time will come and you will definitely gain something from it.

This is reassuring for those of us relatively new to hosting our own blogs. Sometimes it can be disheartening when you're not necessarily seeing monetary conversion from your hard work - but I'm glad to hear that after several years you had success with yours. That gives me the confidence to stick with it, and keep doing things to try and make it work.

When I started a self hosted blog, I knew that I was not going to be rich through blogging, however, what I was expecting a decent earnings from my blogs. On writing sites where I had published articles previously, I was receiving 5K daily visits and making $4 in average per day, therefore, I though it would be easier for me, however, that did not happen. I have 10 websites and only three of them are generating revenue.

I agree in past the monetization was easy. Now a days the monetization becomes harder with the online systems that often do not earn much. And it can be a bit harder on many levels. I think people have to learn how to get traffic and sustain in order for things to be more profitable and working if you ask me. I find things a bit not so easy to work around.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's because blogging has become very competitive and people have discovered unethical ways to get higher ranks, gain traffic, even generate clicks on the ads. That's why more and more people are being rejected for major ad networks.
I started publishing on hubpages in 2010. IN order to earn on hubpages you need adsense,. Thus I applied for adsense though hubpages and I was approved when I had just 11 articles. I did not make a lot of money on Adsense back then, but I did earn more than when I began using adsense on my blogs.

I think also the adblcoker factor. More and more publishers are losing the money. So definitely something like that can be bad for anyone who is struggling with monetization. I personally don't think it's a good idea to try out the profitable ventures without thinking. Having product makes sense instead of using the ads for making money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
That's true. People are using adblockers which blocks ads while accessing the websites, When the ads do not appear, there will be no ad impression or engagements with the ads. If there is no ad impression and engagements, you are not earning. I hear that there are some ad networks that provide ad codes that cannot be blocked by ad blockers, is that true.

I think brave browser seems to be the one that may solve the issues for the revenue. I know one for sure that such type of BAT token can be paid to the publishers. Though I am not sure if all the people out there can make use of that on their website.

Maybe it depends on the traffic of your site. I am not saying I know the tricks but one advice I got is to be ready with the promotional activities before launching your site. It is like a movie that you need the trailer before it is shown so that there will be viewers. A blog also needs to be promoted and advertised even before it gets into the internet. At least the people in your circle will already have an idea.

I totally agree on that one. Once we understand and learn how to follow the 7 key words on this verse, then you will receive the reward that we were waiting for and sometimes it can be more than that to what we expect. Thank you for reminding me of this verse.

Thanks for the tips. I agree that it really depends on your way of building up your website. If you consider every little thing, you'll likely to have a successful business. I also agree that you should not advertise eagerly with every contact you'll receive. Your reader might become anxious and think that you're just responding because you want to advertise. Patience is really a good investment for any business. You really have to work it out and pay attentiom to it. Eventhough it may take long time for it to be successful, well, good things come to those who wait.

Hello Tommy! Another great article from you. In the perspective of a budding blogger, I am able to learn new things whenever I read your works.

One thing I also notice as a new blogger, patience and hardwork indeed help you rank up your blogsite and earn profit for it. It is like having an actual business where you give your focus and quality time. I also notice that when you also give focus on your engagement, readers and visitors appreciate that. It also increases your clicks anf visits.

If any blogger can be able to write at least one post per day on his blog site, then there's no cause for alarm. One thing that I have come to see that updating the contents of the blog is always the best thing to do as visitors to your blog will always have a reason to visit the site.

And I agree if you put a lot of patience in your blogging then you will probably be successful on it later on.

I do agree with you because a lot of people are thinking that it's easy to earn as a blogger. Which is not true, it takes years to build a career as a blogger. Usually the first year of any blogger is not that profitable because he is not seen as an authority yet. But after several years a blogger by then would have loyal followers/members and would start reaping the rewards. There's a lot of online and offline financially rewarding opportunities for seasoned bloggers. But this would start to materialize on their 2nd year onwards.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mitan143
It takes years to build a career as a blogger. Wow, that's too long. But yes, it's the reality. There are few bloggers who became successful in just short period of time, but I think they are just very lucky to have that opportunity. Especially if they are too aware from their surroundings and from the internet as well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I try and remind myself that in most careers away from the computer, it takes this kind of length of time (if not longer) to be able to be seen as someone who knows what they're doing. I think sometimes we forget that, and assume that just because it's a blog there should be instantaneous success - when that's definitely the exception rather than the rule.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Those people who became successful in a short period of time are really lucky. I believe in what other member says that sometimes we also need the luck to get the success that we want and I am also a believer of luck. If you have patience, hardwork, and luck then you might be able to succeed.

yes, it's the reality. There are few bloggers who became successful in just short period of time

Those who aren't lucky spend a lot of money promoting their site. Depending on how much money they spend on ads, it could take just a few months to start making money from their blogs.

Nonetheless, for most other bloggers especially those who can't spend much money promoting their sites, you need to be patient and consistently churn out quality content. Since it might take a while to profit from blogging, this is why it's always advisable to blog about something your are passionate about lest you lose interest long before you start making any money.

Actually I think it might even take more than that if your work ethic is poor. A focused and serious individula may take up to an year but later on have more profits in the second year than 10 times the first year.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

IN order to earn from blogging, the first requirement is you need to be serious. Becoming serious means you are serious about creating your own blogging platform (a blog), publishing blog posts regularly, promoting your blogs on social media and other places, and learning technical things related to blogging such as seo, social media marketing, search engine marketing etc. You need passion and dedication to earn from blogging.

Most of the people who are blogging for profit know how long it takes for them to be profitable. And even harder part is that if the profit were to be remain consistent they have to be working lot harder on the backlinks and traffic. Because traffic is the key for the profit for most of the part. I know many people who have struggled with the blogging and didn't made much money. So it all comes down to a bit of luck too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, that's true. If luck favors you then grab the opportunity. But the sad truth is, only few people have magical luck which made them very successful in blogging easily. Yes, I know it is also because of their hardwork, skill, talent, patience, etc - but with a bit of luckiness.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes luck is more like hit and miss. And people need to work harder on what they have and what they should be doing. You can see that having proper research requires handling of blog in that case. I think it's always a good practice to work hard and then let the luck takes it course. That's my approach.

Totally agree with the patience aspect! Too often I think many of us expect overnight results or major financial success almost instantly - and that doesn't really happen for the vast majority of people. Keeping it real and understanding that patience and doing your research is important are keys to success.

Patience is a virtue that must be learned. It is not something one is born with. I completely agree with you that it is patience that leads to success not only in the blogging world but in every other field too. People are becoming very impatient now days and they want to get rich quick. They read all the success stories and think that they gained their rewards overnight. Behind every success is years of hard work and dedication. After patience, persistence is the key to success. One will get discouraged frequently if results are not positive and immediate. If one can can push through those obstacles and be persistent, one can achieve great success in any field.

In my experience as a blogger, I really didn't make any money on my first year. But I remember receiving some invites to events and some gift certificates from businesses that I've been writing about. It really took off on the second year when businesses would invite me to blog about and cover their events and do write-ups. I really like getting a lot of invites and writing jobs, I was then getting paid $30-$75 per event. In my opinion and experience, my offline earnings from blogging is way more than what I make online.

I still don’t understand a ton about ad revenue, but I think you have to be getting some serious traffic to your site to earn much from ads. Maybe I’m wrong and just need to monetize things in a more productive way!

Before getting ads placed on your blog, you must have done a decent job on your site in order to get it rank higher in Google and as a result get lots of people place ads on your site in order to advertise their business products and services. You get paid for these ads placements, so it's one of the ways you get to make good money from your blog.

Many people use Google Ad Sense to generate revenue for their blogs and also Amazon affiliate links. If your blog does get great traffic, you can also earn money by selling advertising space on your blog. Another good source of income, if you can get approved, is Infolinks.

Google adsense seems to be dominating the world. Amazon retired their CPM program. Otherwise it was one of the good earners. Many people made some really good conversion with that. I am sure that in near future people will thank the amazon for such type of ads too. I think now that CPM is retired more people will start to link to the amazon. I hope to see other competitors too if they are profitable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Google Adsense is dominating the world because you will be earning for every legit clicks. It does not matter whether you buy the product/service advertised or not. When I started blogging, Amazon CPM program had already retired. I tried amazon affiliate marketing, however, had to give up because I had no conversion.

Yes also the video ads on the youtube are from the adsense itself. So it is working out for them over there too. I have seen many people also trying other ads like carbon ads etc. But so far it seems like profit generation is a bit harder with the other affiliate programs and the ad monetization.

I agree because making a blig isn't easy as being said. The concept, writing and distribution of it isn't that easy. Yes you are quite right that it involves a lot of research and you must summarize or give your point of view in such a creative way to engage the readers to get into it. It isn't just making a one beautiful article and then you'll earn money because you must be in consistent pace in releasing or publishing blogs to gain reputation.

The message that has been put out there is that all you have to do is start a blog and the money will trickle in like manna from heaven. But the truth is that starting a blog is alot of work. This is just the begging, you need to do alot of work to make money from it. I agree that you need to be super disciplined and you need to be about promotion, promotion, promotion. Even marketing gurus that get 1,000,000 views a month to their blogs still promote. Most people want to work on their blogs only once and leave it there.

In my experience as a co-blogger, earnings are minimal and not reliable. That means you may go hungry if blogging is your only livelihood. I know that popular bloggers earn so much regularly with the income greater than the salary of an office manager. But it takes a lot of hard work before you can get popular. First is the kind of blogs that you write. It should have a universal appeal. Next is the kind of promotion to attract readers.

I'm amazed at your dedication writing 7 discussions a day. I think I would be floored to even write just 2. I guess this just means that you're really hungry to do what your article sets out to do.

Right? Like he has to plan so many topics to stockpile. I don't know if I could handle it. Like what happens when he doesn't have any content to post? Does he stop and wait until he can stockpile again? Where does he get all his ideas to write about?

Blogging is a major wellspring of acquiring cash nowadays. Gone are the days while blogging was generally considered as a type of easy revenue. Presently, numerous individuals take up blogging as an all day occupation and they are gaining an average general wage. Many independent bloggers profit by composing articles or by distributing their substance on different sites. There are bloggers who have made a name and place for themselves exclusively by as often as possible blogging on their field of aptitude.

It's not just blogging alone but any online business takes time, commitment, dedication and even money before you would start making decent profits for your business efforts.

There are some quick ways to make money online from surveys and posting but it's not the same thing with making money online as a blogger.

I have to bear in mind and live with the thought that your attitude towards your work is a great factor for your efficiency and the quality of output that you produce.

With all of the information that I have read today, I am very grateful and I'll make sure that I'll be able to apply these as I start my baby steps as a person who posts content online. I am sure that I am not the only one who appreciates this writing and the one who wrote this. God bless you.

A more realistic goal is around $150 per day, and that is kind of pushing it. However, I would tend to believe if you had about one thousand pageviews per day then you could possibly get around $150 per day if the visitors are actually clicking on ads. However, $75 seems to be more realistic. People are always setting high goals for themselves then get discouraged, and then later quit. Start out with really small goals and then increase that goal. No use in setting unrealistic goals, this really discourages people too early in the game of business things.

Actually it takes a lot more page views to make money from ads.

I'm sure cpc ads pay will make you more money than cpm ads but as there is no guarantee that people will click on ads they see, you'll need cpm ads on your site too. For every 100,000 or so page views you'll earn $150 guaranteed.

Because ads won't make anyone much money unless they are selling ad space directly it is advisable to promote or sell other products on your site. This way even if ads don't make you much money the commissions you earn off products sold will make you a lot more.

It's much simpler to keep at something without seeing an arrival on the off chance that you truly appreciate it. In case you're making your own blog, you have free-rule to pick whatever you need to center around so pick something you like. In case you're making content for your organization, search for approaches to compose content you identify with whether that is finding diverse points on your center theme, going further on the specific viewpoints that intrigue you most, or distinctive content designs.

Pardon me but I am not comfortable with that 1 blog post a day. Perhaps you can do that if you have guest bloggers or a team of bloggers that will be writing for your site. I know that content is king when it comes to blogs but my mind may run dry if I will be the only one doing that chore of writing one blog each day. My take on updating a blog is twice a week or 3 times a week at the most. That is a comfortable writing schedule.

having a lot of contents or posting every day does not guarantee you tons of traffic. I am also against publishing one post per day. I cannot write a new article every day. You need to update your blog frequently to stay in the game, however, publishing every day does not guarantee traffic and revenue, in fact this will burn you out.

Well, blogging for profits is definitely something which requires a lot of patience and hard work in the initial period. I think that it is better to do your blogging as a hobby initially and go on posting as much as you can on your chosen topic. Once people start liking your blogs then the traffic will start increasing steadily. If we start expecting results right from the beginning then we are bound to be disappointed.
