The only problem I have with the .xyz, or actually, anything that's not .com is that when people would like to look up your website, they may get confused and give up because they may type WEBSITE.COM instead of WEBSITE.xyz, since .com has become the norm. However there's nothing wrong with it at all... just a convenience thing I suppose.

I currently use the .xyz extension on my website. From the technical analysis of it, I have no problem, but from the economic sense, people don't trust it that much. It takes time to build peoples trust on websites using these new extensions we have around nowadays.

.com definitely has some perks as it is one of the oldest and most popular domain. I also bought a .xyz domain website - metroescorts.xyz for the first time and will see how it responds to Google SERPs

Whether or not the .xyz domain is good depends a lot on what you wish to accomplish with your site. Although it may be as normal as the more popular domain extensions, there has been some notoriety associated with the extension, imagined or not. If you wish to monetize your website, it's best to spend a little bit more on a .com or .net.

I checked and visited some .xyz websites but to be honest I don't have any impressions with websites using this domain extensions. I would go for .com if possible, other than that, .net or .info is good too.

I hear that xyz domains are being used for spam or illegal websites. Therefore, many people do not trust xyz domains. However, I am using an xyz domain for two years and so far it is pulling a good traffic. I have used xyz domain for my personal blog. I also have a couple of xyz domains, which I want to flip, however, I have not found any buyers for my xyz domains.

I don't see any problem with xyz domain I think the problem people have is just that we are used to dot com and you know humans when it comes to changes it takes time to really adapt I believe with time we can change that.

.xyz domains are really good. If that is what you really want, then go for it. I know .com and .org are trending and they are the best but do not choose them because everyone likes them. I have visited sites with .xyz domains and they look good and unique.

It would be best not to experiment with new domain extensions unless you have no choice. I had a .xyz domain name a few years back and I did run into a few problems.

Some ad networks do not accept any blogs that use the .xyz domain extension. They certainly do have their reasons but if they don't like .xyz I'm sure there are lots of people (like them) who won't bother trying to click a link to your site even if it is on page #1 of the results pages.

I have a writer friend who had created several sites in the domain provider dot xyz. When I asked about that new suffix for the domain name, he reasoned that he was only trying the new domain names because it is cheap. Maybe the domain name provider did not see it financially viable so they stopped the service. It takes a big amount of capital to be a domain name provider because you will need powerful servers.

These days domain is .com. People are familiar with .com. People who aren't ordinary internet user would suspect the .xyz domain, and they may not want to risk enter the websites despite being totally a normal website.
