Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers!

Today Facebook newsroom announced that they are offering to users a new way to control, ads and also updating them to bypass adblockers.Yes, you heard it right! They will start to bypass adblockers, basically after this update, you will see ads on your facebook even if you are using an adblocker on your browser, but they will allow users to opt-out of ad targeting. My thoughts on this? Forcing users to see their ads it’s not a good move by Facebook, but,at least you have an option to control them, so you’ll see only what you want to see.

See the video below how opt-out works..

Oh no, I don't think so.. tisk tisk Facebook. If they are pressing advertisements on their users whether or not they use an adblocker then I'm absolutely certain a lot will leave the website. Facebook has now officially turned into to "AdBook". However, i do wonder if they are aware that there is many ways to get around their bypass. For instance, I could block the entire URL that the ad fetches from..

Basically, I don't think this bypass would last as there are some really smart people whom will always find workarounds for anything. People hate seeing ads everywhere, tired of getting viruses, and fed up with the autoplaying loud advertisements as well. And that is the reason why Adblocker was created.

I don't think people will leave Facebook over ads. And after all, facebook is a free service and they have the right to do whatever...
I think eventually big companies will find a way around adblockers and there will be nothing we can do about it.

I don't have any blockers installed, wish I did, but I need to see ads and new campaigns as its part of my job.

If they are very intrusive they might. If people feel as if they are just logging into Facebook just to see ads then Facebook would probably have to fix that. I'm all for websites trying to profit to pay for their overhead cost but sometimes they take it too far with the advertisements.

A game I use to play long ago put advertisements everywhere. They had popup ads, flash game ads, ads on the side of the pages, ads at the footer, ads at the header, and people just started to download the Adblocker. They apparently had to lay off some of the staff because they werent being paid enough from the ads. I believe people whom install adblockers are trying to make a statement.

hmmm I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand I hate ads with a passion, but on the other I love them because they are mine lol Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers!

I hate adblockers when I'm running an advertising campaign Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers! But I understand that anyone using them probably wasn't going to buy from me anyway lol Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers! Facebook switching it up so that adblockers won't be blocking the ads won't do much I think. People who are using the adblockers will just set up their facebook profiles so that they don't see the ads while the other people won't know any difference.

Facebook switching to the adblockers not working won't do much for them. It's not like they're going to make an extra million dollars a day because they can bypass the adblockers. People will figure it out and just edit their settings to make sure they don't see the ads. You're not going to convince someone to keep the ads on there if they were comfortable not seeing them lol Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers!

I've been "tricked" into buying stuff online because I never use an ad blocker. But it's my own fault for buying and I can't get mad at the advertiser lol. I do have an adblocker, I just don't have it activated at the moment lol Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers! But I have noticed that sometimes I stumble upon a nice little gem when reading an ad and clicking through. Most of the time these gems are from websites that I can get an ad on and make money off of their traffic lol Facebook Ads will Bypass Adblockers!

You probably hate me then. I'm constantly using AdBlocker, so I probably never seen your ads before.. lol But you're right, most people who have AdBlocker installed probably don't want to purchase anything anyways. I know I don't. I have never purchased anything from an advertisement online before, and don't think I ever will in the future. However, there will come a time when I need to post advertisements and I'm sure that when that day comes I too will have those that use an Adblocker. Haha.
