True. Team building exercises helps fosters or strengthens the relationship among members. It promotes a sense of well being especially if its centered around fun games like paint balling, ice skating, karaoke nights etc. The casual environment, the laughter and general camaraderie all contributes to encouraging team members to loosen up and get closer to each other. Team members also get an opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level.

Our department had a team building activity a few weeks ago. Our boss sponsored the event to be held in a mountain resort. We were all expectant on what kind of team building activities to be conducted. When we reached the place which is on top of a mountain, we roamed around until lunch time. In the clubhouse, a sumptuous lunch was served. And then lots of chatting until departure. In other words, there was no team building activity. Our boss emphasized that team building is actually bonding time therefore activities are not that effective. Oh well...

Sure,learning through games is a good way to impart knowledge.People loves games a lot and they might do this all the time.Inculcating play or games during learning will stimulate or motivate the body more because the body will be alert to assimilate what is been learned and in an enjoyable way as well.

Sure, I always had a pal that I go out to exercise with while I was at the university and the way we always do it make us feel less tired and achieve more performances. I guess it is better to go with a team than doing the exercise alone.

Our company HR department has this type of the exercise. They bring all the employees into one hall and make them do things by sharing. And here the teamwork is being developed into this sort of activity. I am guessing that some of the time this may not be easy. But if those exercises are done on regular basis, you can see that this definitely helps improve the team building and the people too. So that's something every office should do.

This will really foster strength it makes the people know sharing work and each piece is taken up by a person is definitely a strength and it would hold the company together, even at home I use this same method and my kids have fun working together instead of working in isolation.This is really great for teamwork.

Yes I think it's meant for keeping people in loop. And this allows them to get closer. You can see that working methods in such case can be a good thing to consider. I think HR people know how that works. I guess for each team building can be a bit different.
