    Doing a lot of forum posting can help. Besides backlinks, I have an account on every social network I find worthy and always post to my fans and followers of my updates.

    Something you can do wright know is to add a signature with your Gig link.

    My perception of a sales promotion is that it is always connected to backlinks. When you promote your business, that promotional post includes the link of your website or of the web page of the particular item that you are promoting. That will leave a backlink to the site like when you post in social media that spiel or even in forums and in blogs. To get traffic to your website for that new sales promotion, post it in popular sites.
