Have you ever changed your Facebook name?

Are there any valid reasons to change your public name on Facebook? For instance, if you made a typo when entering it the first time or got married or divorced. Just wondering if you ever changed your name on Facebook and if so, why?

For women, if you get married is a valid reason.

I agree to robertman11, after getting married women have a valid reason to change their names but apart from that there can be other reasons too which can lead you to change your name. As for me I have never changed my name on Facebook or anywhere else.

Well, it's very easy to change to one's Facebook name. And many people do regularly change them.
Of course, if you don't use your real name and got problems later on, you might have a hard time getting your account back.

and i don't think so that there is any strong reason to change name.

Unless you want to use a code name or something like that.
I have seen many people change their names most of the time.

What about silly reasons? I've seen people change their last name to something completely made up. Wonder why those people are not reported? I just figured no one cares.

I don't think that it is big deal to change facebook name. Someone try to prove him/her different from others. I never changed my facebook name.

I once changed my facebook name. I changed my facebook name because I wanted to use a different spelling for my name. After getting married, my wife did not change her facebook name even though she changed her status from single to married, and I am ok with that.

This is actually annoying because I would see a weird profile name in Facebook that I know the user was fooling around. What do they get when they reverse the spelling of their name? For example the name is Johnny and what I would see is Ynnhoj. Isn’t it foolish like they are playing with the eyes of their friends? There are times that I want to report such a friend so the account will be suspended and that will be a neat lesson.
