Your first job as a forum poster

My first paid forum posting gig was on a site called Mylot. Back in the day, they paid around five cents per post. At the time, it seemed like a lot of money. But, after awhile, I realized it was too hard to even earn a few dollars there daily and found other ways to make money including blogging and Hubpages. Sometime later, Seocheckout was created. Since then, I've been able to get regular forum posting gigs on many forums. I'm very happy doing forum posting as it's a fun job. Chances are, I'd be on forums anyway (as i always was before being paid) but this just gives me some extra money for groceries or expenses. Seocheckout has allowed me to supplement my writing income and have some nice extras for my family.

Where was the first place you were paid to post at? Which site did you post on? Or, which site helped you land your first forum posting gig?

OMG I forgot about mylot. I did that as well. Only made a few bucks and never got paid for it because it just did not pay out very well.

My first paid to post experience was in BRL forums, which is now known as Webhosting Talk.
The pay is a little too low compared on how site owners paid posters on their sites, but still, I ended up getting a good amount of earnings from them.

I used mylot before, and then found some sights to post on from another site. The pay was not the greatest but it got me into the door to learning about forums and such.

How much did you get paid back then in myLot?

So I went back to mylot and yesterday I posted a few good length posts. But then I looked today and I only made 3 cents from it. How can people afford to post on there if they are using that as a source to make money from? I can see if it is for fun but some of those people it sounds like they count on that money.

Never did Mylot. I guess if you are only going to earn a few cents a day it is not worth it. Why put the effort into it if you can not make hardly anything off it?

LOL so true. The forum was a good one but really you can not earn one bit on it.

I believe my first job as a forum poster was a few years ago, a friend had asked me to do it for her.

For me, it was ChatAbout where I earned my first dollar, $10 actually. It is forum post with a minimum length. But I did not stay long there when I discovered Postloop which is a much easier way of providing forum content. Postloop closed for a time and then reopened. Here's hoping that it will gain more forums.
