Are you using Facebook to promote your services?

Would you say that Facebook is a freelancer's best friend? I'm interested in promoting on Facebook groups that allow advertising. I have a page but not many fans so far and I don't know how to optimize the page to make it interesting since all I'm doing is advertising my freelance services.

How do you have so many accounts? Why would you want that many?

As of right now, I am not currently using Facebook to promote my services as my facebook contains nothing but my family and closest friends and I don't want to spam their Facebook with all my services.

No I don't use it to promote anything really. Just having good luck lately doing what I am doing so I am sticking with that.

I just started a Facebook page and am getting a few likes to the page from my friends and freelance clients. Some people that I met on Facebook seem to be interested in the services I have to offer, so maybe that will translate into more freelance sales.

I am using facebook to sell my products. I not only use facebook's free promotion tools (pages, groups) but also paid advertising (facebook boost). I have sold numerous copies of my book through facebook. I have also used facebook to sell my affiliate products (success rate is small, though). I also use facebook to drive traffic to my websites.

At present, I am not promoting my freelancing in social media since I'm still in the learning phase. Besides, my freelancing work is purely writing and I don't think my Facebook friends can help me with recommendation. But when I go full time with my freelancing then I would utilize the power of social media in promoting my business.
