Response time

Hi, I am level 1 seller, and my first order came from an employer who ordered quantity of 5 at the same time. The expected delivery time for quantity of 1 was 2 days, and I managed to deliver quantity of 5 in 5 days. The response time on my profile says 5 days, but the real response time is 1 day, maybe even less. It is not real, because it doesn't show the real picture. Is there a possibility the response time to be calculated depending on the quantity of the order as well? The order was 25 articles (5 orders of 5 articles each), and I simply can't provide good quality and fast work and manage a good response time when the quantity is higher than 1.

No, unfortunately it doesn't automatically adjust the time, but if you were to receive another 5 orders, you can edit your service to give it a longer expected delivery time until you get your order completed. Doing that will allow you more time to complete the other orders when they come in. When you are caught up, you can set the expected delivery time back to it's original place.

Make the adjustments when it's necessary. You can set it at 2 days, then when an order comes in, set it at 5. If another comes in set it to more, but allow yourself enough time to mange your other services at the same time.

Yes, I can adjust the time, but it still will not reflect the real time until the order was finished and delivered. In my opinion, response time must be calculated for quantity of 1 order, regardless the quantity of orders received. The way it is calculated now, it does not reflect the reality, and can not be considered as an important attribute to a worker, especially not as a factor to progress into higher levels.

Response time to your customer's messages is also calculated, not just the time it takes to complete one order. So to decrease your response time, be sure to respond to all messages by your customer/buyer on the order as quickly as possible.

You could always make it so that people can't order multiples of the same service. That would cause the buyer to order each service separately, at least until this factor is accounted for in your response time.

Hello anemari975,

I suggest you not to disable the multiple order option for your service. Your buyers may want to place order in bulk. Some time it is irritating to pay 5 times.

And to decrease the response time , Do 2 things:-
1- When someone place a new order just post a confirmation message on the order page. Just say them that you have received their order and start working on it.

2- When any buyer ask you any question regarding order status, Just respond them as soon as possible.

The above 2 things will get you more and more loyal buyers because of your good communication.

Last thing I will say that don't disable the multiple order option. Just work hard and try to keep clients happy.

Thanks

Are you confusing 'Response Time' and 'Average Delivery Time'? The Response Time although calculated based on actions within the order page really has nothing to do with what someone orders.

Response Time is calculated based on the time it takes you to respond to messages that the seller leaves on the order page and quantity/order size cannot hinder the time it takes you to simply make a reply.

In terms of Average Delivery Time quantity unfortunately is not factored, you really must decide if its better offering multiple quantity and/or Extras or potentially having a not so appealing Average Delivery Time. That will of course depend on how long each extra quantity will take you.

Karoshio

Thanks to everyone for your comments and your help. I guess I was confused about "response time". As a matter of fact, I actually thanked the buyers in the conversations we had in private messages, but not in the orders conversation. I tried to deliver the work as soon as possible, and succeeded in doing that, and since I was really lucky to receive the first order within the few hours after signing up on Seocheckout, I had no time to even pay attention to levels or "response time". The customer and the order had priority, and I gained a satisfied customer. Beginner's mistakes, but lesson learned. After 2 more delivered orders which took a day to finish and deliver, my response time is now decreased to 2 days. I hope to decrease it even more, realizing and knowing the real meaning of "response time" now. Thanks again Response time
