Are you an early morning person? If so then you should be writing and publishing during that time as that's when your creative juices will be flowing.

Keep track of your most popular blog posts and find out what days you published those on. For instance, if your most popular post was made on a Thursday afternoon and there after received 1000 views in just a few minutes, then you will know that is a good time to publish on your blog.

Post when it's good for you. Just create a regular blog posting schedule that your readers will become familiar with and always post at that same time. In this way, you will train your readers to come by when you publish rather than having to cater to your readers.

Many people recommend about the ideal publishing time (on your website) and sharing time (on social media). However, I don't believe in these things.
Instant traffic (from your subscribers or social media followers) will not be very good for your content. You need organic traffic from search engines. If you schedule your post on "right time," you may get instant traffic, but in the long run the time you published will be irrelevant because when search engines begin to send traffic, publishing time is not a consideration.

I think you should publish the blog based on your audience. I have found that posting during the day time for IST time would be better for me. But that formula may not work out for you. In such case find out what are your publishing times and your audience. This way you can set the direction for your posting. I have found that some of the geo-specific actions work may reach more people if done the right way.

Does publishing time actually matter if you are thinking about long-term traffic and organic traffic? Publishing time might be good for the subscribers because they will read your blog if published when they are available; however, if you want traffic from search engines, it does not matter when you published your post.

Some of the time actually matter. You can get the post viral. And depending on the type of the topic. It can be good. You can see that news sites and the blogs make the news go viral in that sense. You have to work a bit harder though. Publishing time does matter but your niche and it's publishing time is another thing.

If you publish on current topic, publishing time and social media promotion time may matter because you want instant visitors on your post. However, if you are publishing ever gree content, I believe publishing time does not matter. AS for social media promotion, it is best to promote when your followers are online.

Yes, ever green content has no fixed time. But it may have time context. Like say Christmas post may not pick up after January. And that is going to be slowing down in such case as well. So depending on how the blog post is published I'd say it may differ from person to person.

Well, I like to publish evergreen contents, therefore, I do not consider publishing time. I also do seasonal post, however, I always try to publish my seasonal post at least two months before the actual event. For example, I will be publishing about Valentine's Day in December. If I am writing about Christmas or New Year, I will publish my post in October. By publishing ahead, I am able to drive seasonal traffic to my post.

I do pay attention to the time. The reason being if anything like say festival is next month. Then it helps to add the time to the blog post. And that way we can see how that is conversion wise. And that seems to be the case with the blog posts.

If a large percentage of the visitors to your website is subscription based, you need to publish the post in the time that is convenient to your subscribed readers. However, if the large portion of visitors come from organic traffic, publishing time is not very important.

Yes that seems to be the case. I also check the google analytics for the time. And most of the time based publishing is adjusted to that time. And I am guessing that is more accurate estimation as well. I am not sure if that would apply to all sites.

I think social media promotion time matters more than publishing time. If you share your content when most of your followers are active, then you can get a lot of engagements and link clicks. I am based in Asia, however, most of my followers on Twitter and facebook are based in the US. Therefore, I try to share when my US friends ae active.

True. But depending on niche not all the time you can make things active or inactive. And on that reason I'd say that people can target specific niche and the region and publish. That would be lot easier to get things in terms of traffic.

Agreed. If you want to target people in specific time zone, you should publish according to the time zone of your target audience. This is very helpful if you are trying to get attention for a short time or your content has a short life (current topics). For evergreen topic, publishing time does not actually matter.

I usually go from US to another countries when it comes to traffic. I am also focusing more on the Asian traffic. But it is taking a lot of time. It may not work out though not all the time. It may change for sure.

I think time doesn't come up at all when it comes to posting one's article on the blog, just publish your posts and leave your subscribers with what would keep them glue to your page and enjoy the traffic and if possible the money it will accrued if the blog is monetize.

If your subscribers are your primary visitors, you need to publish at the time when your subscribers are online. This depends on your subscribers' location. However, if you get organic traffic, publishing time does not really matter.

I think posting in the morning is a good idea. You never know exactly at what time people will be accessing. Some may go earlier during the day, or some may catch up later in the evening. It's best to have the posts ready. If not, whenever is more suitable for you.

I don't think there's a specific time for online stuff, not even online posting, you can say morning but that could be afternoon or night for others. So one can't be certain about the time, just post the article and make it interesting with a very catchy title or headlines anytime anyone comes online the article or posts would be seen by them.

I agree that you can post your blog anytime because it will depend on the waking hours of your readers. Posting a new blog is best when you promote it in social media so that your regular readers will get to know that you had posted a new blog for them to read. Time of day is not the essence of posting blogs. What’s more important is the frequency of uploading new blogs like twice a week or even more often.
