Forbidden forum topics?

Are there any topics on your forum that are forbidden to be talked about? For instance, maybe you don't allow anyone to talk about forum competitors?

If I actually owned a forum, then I would not want others to say hateful or hurtful things on the forum.

You might say those are forbidden topics. I have a blog now, so it's not a big deal. But I can see how that would be 'forbidden'.

Maybe that answers your question.

Angry and abusive words would be forbidden on any forum. Don't you think so too?
There are usually forum rules against that, whether spelled out or implied.

That's a common sense requirement, for people not to be mean to each other.

The only topic that I think should be forbidden is religion because it will surely create a controversial issue. And those issues may start divisions by factions of religious fanatics. In the general discussion board, it should be noted that the topic of religion is taboo. In the social media, I have seen political controversies related to party affiliation but religious factions are more heated.
