    Forum members who are constantly complaining

    Do you ever get forum members who are constantly complaining and griping about every little thing about your forum? What can you do about that?

    Some people complain because they are bored, others are just frustrated. You could simply approach the person by private message and ask them if they need to talk it out. Sometimes, a person just needs a sympathetic ear. If they were a good forum member before, it will pay to try to help them through a tough time now.

    Or, they could just be trolling. This can happen when a forum member joins another forum and decides that your forum is not worth his or her time anymore. Just ask the person to leave if they are causing a commotion in public.

    It's your forum, so if a member makes too big of a deal over something, you can simply warn or temp ban until they cool off.

    As someone said before me now there are a lot of internet trolls or "haters" that just want to get their frustations out in any site they find. So I would just recommend to track them down and actually see if it was just a "bad day" for them and they ended up complaining about your site or if it's something recurrent in their type of posts. You shouldn't just block them out for a single complain post....

    This reminds me of a user named HKP. He would log in every day and do some posts. But more often than not, there will be a post about a complaint on a topic, against another member, or even to the mod. The admin and mods said that they have been receiving private messages complaining about that complainer. Members want him to be suspended or banned. But the admin has a better sense to just pacify the crowd that persecutes the guy. But it happened that the complainer left the forum on his own accord. The admin’s speculation is that some members have harassed the complainer via private message.
