Is email marketing even useful now or 2013 and beyond?

Hello Seocheckout marketers! I've been wondering if email marketing is useful, or should be used in 2013 and beyond. I honestly don't see the point because a lot of "offers" emails and such go directly to spam folder, and most people just delete that whole folder without ever looking into it. So is email marketing of use anymore? However, I see a lot of email marketing sites offering packages to buy to help you market your content..

I dont agree with your answer though. Although most emails go to Spam folders especially for Google/Yahoo/Hotmail, that does not affect Email Marketing much if email marketers know the way around.

Firstly, email marketing is not just about Google/Yahoo/Hotmail, there are millions of email SMTP servers people use for their emails. And those SMTP servers are not as strict as Google/Yahoo/Hotmail

Secondly, one of the best practical way to avoid emails going into Spam folders is send a small volume of emails per hour to different Email STMP receiving servers.

Thirdly, the use of IP rotation technique will help improve email delivery. I find 80 to 90% of my emails go into BOX. But some server providers dont allow this technique to be used.

Fourthly, avoid writing Spam words in the email messages and title. Having HTML tags in the HTML email message is also very important for good email delivery.

Because 80% to 90% of people on the planet open their email almost every day, so the Email Marketing is still considered to be one of the most powerful tool for the Internet Marketing.

No. email marketing is least important now a days.. facebook, twitter and other mode of social marketing took very good space of email marketing. so may be in near future nobody will use it.

nothing to lose bro.. if you have a lots of list of email.. why you didn't use that?? but, the point is, you promote or give information with procedure...
