Automating your lead generation process is the key to happiness and profits

Everyone is looking to make a little more cash on the side or they might want to strike it rich online.  Either way, you will want to start automating your lead generation to a point where you are simply talking to people via a live chat plugin on your website to ease their minds about certain things they had questions on.

Setting up a lead generation system like the one I'm about to cover is pretty simple, really simple actually, and it does take a little bit of upfront investing since it's a sort of "Front Loading" method.  This means it takes money first to make it later.

Now then, let's get started!


Set up a MailChimp account or something similar
When you want to start email marketing, you may think to scrape a massive amount of emails and send out your pitch to each one.  This isn't something you want to do unless you're knowledgeable about email marketing and know-how to set up all the systems you need to do this successfully without getting banned from every mailing server lol.

Use Mailchimp or something like it to manage your subscribers and sending emails out to them.  The setup is pretty easy to do, you create a list and get an ID for it that you can then put into most online form processors so you can add people to your MailChimp list.

Give away a free product or service
The bait you'll dangle in front of the people you're trying to catch will vary depending on what niche you're in, but it should always be something that doesn't cost you much, and if it's free for you, then it's even better lol.

What I like to do is give out free website audits to anyone that fills out the form on my website.  They will then be added to my newsletters/email list, and I now have them in a sequence of a few dozen emails that I had set up and ready to go for anyone that wanted that free audit muahahaha!  Don't worry; this is all legal lol.

People will ask you for the free item, audit, service, etc. without filling out the form, but your response should be "Hi there, the system is automated to send that to you once you fill out the form.  I don't have access to this and can't send it to you manually "  Be sure to say you don't have access to it because it's automated and be sure to put in the frowny face.  This shows that you can't make big decisions even though you can, it shows you're there to answer questions, and it shows you have some emotion because of the frowny face lol.

Be sure to automate your email sequences
What I like to do is set up emails that will go out one day, three days, seven days, and then once every week to the people that fill out my forms.  I will usually automate this for 1-2 years, and that means I'll have at least 52 emails scheduled for them to receive   Remember, it takes an average of 6 emails going out before you can turn someone into a customer so imagine what you could do with 52

Be ready to live chat or answer incoming emails
You should always have a live chat feature on your website that goes right to your phone.  I like using Tawk.to for this because it's free, and I can add it to any of my Wordpress sites and manage all of them within a single app.  You will also want to add a Google Voice number to your website, or a paid service like Grasshopper, so you can talk to people on the phone who want to make sure you're a legitimate business and not someone who is trying to collect information.

I don't like talking on the phone much, but I noticed that not too many people call the phone numbers I list on my sites, so I don't mind doing it once in a while.

Set up Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.
One thing you need to focus on is your ads to pull people in.  You will need to make sure your website looks like a legitimate business, even if you're trying to collect emails through a free product or service giveaway because a lot of ad platforms won't accept your ads if you focus solely on your giveaway.

Set up your ads, target your ideal keywords, and make sure to tweak your campaigns over time.  The better your ads get, the better your keyword selection becomes, and the better your budget becomes over time will only get better the longer you do this.  You won't be successful with your ads from day one so don't knock yourself out just yet, take time to edit, and watch what's working and what isn't

If you do everything right, edit what needs little tweaks, and make sure your potential signups are happy with what is going on with your website, then you should be able to set up a lead generation site with ease and keep it running for years to come.
