When I started writing content, I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the English language, but Grammarly showed me what I've been messing up for years. Since I've been writing for a while, reading books, and practicing for years, I probably didn't have as many mistakes as someone who just started to write content as a service and never had before, but I was still shocked at all the little things I was missing like a simple comma!
If you're not always going over your work, review it for spelling errors, checking for grammatical mistakes, then you're likely spiraling downward and writing worse each week you keep going. This is because a bad habit will spread like cancer and keep showing its face within your content and you will begin to think it's ok. Keep this going, and you will have various problems becoming standard practice, and you will be laughed at when you get a big client that needs fantastic content.
I never had Grammarly Premium because it was around $240 for a full year, but I got lucky and purchased it for $74 when they were running a super sale, and now I use it for absolutely everything I write since there's a nice little browser extension that lets me know when something is messed up lol.
I still use my writing style because you always want to be yourself within your content, but Grammarly Premium has increased my accuracy and catches all those simple mistakes that get past me when I'm on my 10th article of the day and have churned out 20,000+ words. Writers fatigue is a real thing, and Grammarly is like a parrot on my shoulder who points out things that aren't quite right.
If you're looking to get Grammarly Premium, I would say to sign up for their newsletter or use their free plugin/extension for now and wait for an email saying they're doing a discount. They will always give out pretty significant discounts around Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or any significant time of year for them. I don't remember exactly when I got my discount, but it wasn't on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, so keep a lookout and check your emails for them to announce a discount. Their snap discounts usually run for 24 hours, so you'll need to act fast, otherwise, you'll need to pay full price.
If you happen to miss their discounts, their pricing isn't that bad if you write content frequently.
Luckily, I have the originals on file so I could swap back to it instead of going back to find all of the edits and tweak them That being said, human error is always something you have to factor into your daily routines because you could mess up and not know it, which is why I love using Grammarly to keep my in order
I agree, and it's just a program I use to help me catch mistakes that I may have let slip past my defenses lol :D
Some of the suggested edits don't make sense to me, which is why I'll always look at what it wants me to change before I approve it. I went through once and changed everything it suggested, and it usually works, but this one time it did not lol. It looked like a bot wrote the majority of my content, and I was not going to let that article go live by any means :D Luckily, I have the originals on file so I could swap back to it instead of going back to find all of the edits and tweak them :)
Systems and software can only take us so far, so we need to put some human thinking behind all of our content :) That being said, human error is always something you have to factor into your daily routines because you could mess up and not know it, which is why I love using Grammarly to keep my in order :D
