Do you believe in the existence of ghosts in our world?

Judas2018

Sure. Ghosts and haunting's are real. They come in different forms though.

Residual haunting's: These are paranormal incidents where a scenario from years or decades ago repeatedly plays itself out at a location from time to time.
Intelligent haunting's: These are paranormal phenomena where the spirits are actually there, and can answer questions posed to them with actual real time responses.
Demonic haunting's: The worst of all paranormal phenomena. These are incidents where a space, location or place is haunted by a demonic entity, or evil elemental spirit. Bent on causing harm to the living that reside within that area.

Man...I definitely would freak if there was even a resemblance of a demonic haunting in my house! I honestly think I'd freak if I experienced any of them. Any kind of paranormal activity would be enough for me to find somewhere else to live!

Well demonic haunting's are complicated. You have to find the source, and then pray that you can have the entity removed. Sometimes it's as simple as removing a cursed item from the home, or moving to a new home. Other times, it's much more difficult. Every situation is different.

I don't think that I would freak out if I saw a ghost. In my life, I have been occupied by volunteering in the army by doing various things such as organizing events for the soldiers when they complete a certain course. The families come and join in the celebrations.
Another part of my volunteering in the army is when a soldier gets killed I am there to bury the soldier and unfortunately, I have had to bury many soldiers which are very unpleasant situations.
.
Yes, I have seen ghosts but honestly speaking I have a beautiful saying: " Its all in the head". There is nothing to worry about. You get some friendly ghosts also Do you believe in the existence of ghosts in our world?

There is one story I heard of a poltergeist who tormented just one man who had allegedly divorced his wife. This entity wouldn't let him eat or drink anything. If he cooked any food, it would simply disappear the moment he served it. Don't know if the ending was happy or not though.

When our house was newly built and we just moved in, there where a lot of unexplained noises we keep on hearing. We all slept on the second and third floors and at night we would here knocking and doors opening in the ground floor. I'll go down with a weapon in my hand and everything's quiet and all doors are locked. This usually happens past midnight. Then one time I tried staying downstairs and nothing happened but when I got sleepy and closed my eyes, then I began to hear things like faint knockings and like someone's watching me, you know that creepy feeling. So what I did was open up the main door and windows, also the lights and TV and watched movies and popped some popcorn and everything was normal. Sometimes old people say, when a place is all dark and quiet spirits dwell in it. So for them to leave you have to light up the place and noisy it a bit.

Poltergeists are normally human created. It's basically a persons psychic energy creating phenomena around them. Like the movie 'Poltergeist,' the old horror film? The evil spirits wanted CarolAnne because her psychic energy was on a scale of 1 to 10, so powerful - it would've been enough to free them from their realm. If a person doesn't learn to control these abilities, they become a beacon for negative spirits and in some cases the person can end up harming someone or opening doorways that weren't meant to be opened.

The little I know about ghosts is that they'll just materialize to scare somebody but even though they might appear to be terrifying they can't do much harm to the person who sees them. Maybe they could drive this person crazy - the worst they can do I suppose. As for something that can make something happen, that's probably an intelligent entity, like a demon not a ghost.

I've experienced a lot of paranormal things in my travels to remote places in the Philippines. At one time we were driving to a far province called Tuguegarao and it was night and we got lost, there where no street lights and it was really dark, using only our vehicles head lamps. Then we noticed a person walking in the roadside and we stop to ask for directions but the person didn't look our way or even answered so we went on but after a few minutes again we saw the same person and we don't no what to think, we just sped away after some time we found our way and stopped at a roadside store. We told the store owner what happened and she told us that what we saw wasn't a man but a spirit. I still think of that time. I mean how could we pass the same person twice?

That's a really common occurrence then if that's what the store owner said. I guess ghosts like to hang around the place they died or used to walk to? For other people to see the ghost and have it a common occurrence, it must be true.

Here in the Philippines ghost stories like this have become common and they are usually true. I've friends and family members who have experienced this kind of things while on the road. I have an uncle who was driving a jeep and then he noticed that there was this lady who is riding in his jeep and didn't get off in the stop. He asked her where she will go because he wants to go home, it is already very late. The lady did not answer. He keeps looking at the mirror and suddenly the lady just disappeared.

In such case I think they are more likely to be demonic entity if they are to be being deceptive with me. Because normal ghosts usually have no power over the human and the objects can't be hold by them. But recorder if manipulated. Yes, they are actually evil spirits. They are what we call "fallen angels" who rebelled against God and went for Satan's side. When people die, the Bible says that man's soul will directly go to only 2 places: Heaven and Hell. There is no such thing as Purgatory in the Bible. Purgatory is just a man-made doctrine. There are only 2 destinations mentioned in the whole Bible, heaven and hell. You will go to heaven when you die if you are saved, meaning you accepted Jesus Christ as your God and Personal Savior when you are still alive. But if not, then you are unsaved and you will go to hell when you die because you did not accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior when you're still alive. This is clearly what the Bible says friends. You can be saved now. Accept Jesus Christ as your God and Personal Savior and you can be sure of heaven when you die because that is assured by God Himself. The Bible is like a love letter given by God to us so we will know how to live in this world, how to live our lives He gave us and for us to know what is waiting for us after death.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I John 5:11-13
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. I do not believe in ghosts. I do believe there is a god of this world (satan) with demon helpers (fallen angels) who try to do everything in their power to mess up and confuse and stop people following Jesus Christ.

I say this even after an experience where I lived in a house where some of us felt some kind of supernatural activity. It was intereesting how it all went away if you mentined Jesus' blood! Yet, there were "presences," and shadows and generally a lot to spook anyone of us out.

I thought it was my imagination until I talked to the person in the bedsit below me. He asked the landlord about one particular night when things were not right at all. We saw his wife bundle everything and the children in a van and leave the next day.

It turned out the landlord tried to murder her. What we may have been feeling was the atmospher of evil. However, the human was doing evil not a ghost.

My family history on one side has a lot of spiritualists and certainly odd things happened like a clock starting the moment one of them, who mended clocks for a hobby, at the moment he died. Apparently, this clock would never work before that.

However, I also know that most magic tricks are an illusion because my great grandma worked for an illusionist and when she and my grandpa had a mind reading act in a music hall at the Elephant and Circus in London, they did it all by signs and tricks.

What I do not believe in is the souls of dead people coming back to haunt us. it is demonic activity impersonating the person or just trying to cause fear. I would not worry to spend a night in a haunted house or anything like that as I believe the power of the Jesus I serve is stronger and all I would do is tell whatever it was to get lost.

The Bible says not to consult wizards and mediums so no way would I ever do that.

The power of suggestion is also real. Words carry power and in some societies a curse will kil a person because they believe in the poswer of those words. The power of the mind and the ability of the mind to suggest is very strong indeed.

There is a supernatural world, yes. There are beings that are not human, yes, but they are not ghosts.

I totally agree with you. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 "It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement." In addition to that, you can use Luke 19 as a reference. There is no reference in the Bible that supports the argument that ghost or the spirit of the dead people are true. Fallen angels and evil spirits are true and the Bible supports this argument.

Hi there!
My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure if it's just the factor of us being afraid to live simply once in the material world or not, but the whole idea about life after death has been bothering the humanity ever since. I'd suggest you to watch short TV series called "Lore". They reveal several prospects of how the humanity has been viewing this whole ghots and supernatural world ever since the beginning.

What you said about mentioning the Blood of Jesus Christ as a potent tool to ward off evil is true. I remember when I got the chance to watch an exorcism by accident. The priest said this words "By the living Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I command thee to leave!". Suddenly we saw 3 shadows that leaped out from the woman's body and we were really scared. During the exorcism proper the priests, there were two of them with about 4 other assistants told us to never stop praying during the exorcism and that we should never look at the eyes of the woman. It was really really scary.

There have been many people in any culture have claimed they have seen or encountered ghosts in one form or another. Some said it is a spiritual being and some associated it as hallucinations. All these have their own merits, without concrete scientific proof, the existence of ghost is always the urban myth that interests the people. I believe the existence of ghost lives in one's personal belief.

I don't know if djinns and ghosts are the same thing but I heard a story about someone who supposedly met a djinn in a bus.

This person was traveling. He got into a bus, got into a random seat. From the moment he got in that seat, he had this oppressive feeling that something wasn't right. And sure enough after some time he got the sensation that something sharp was being held against his temple. He turned to confront the passenger behind him but the story says, "the passenger vanished instantly."

Whether that story is true or not I don't know but that there are beings other than humans on earth that is a fact. Call them ghosts or djinns or demons, they do exist.

Djinns are supposed to be creations of God like angels. But they're below the rank of angels. Like people they where given free will and they could appear in human form or in animal form. They possessed powers. It is said that each human has a djinn companion.

It is said that each human has a djinn companion.

I thought djinss existed only Islamic lore.

According to some book I read about them, unlike other spirit beings, djinns can be killed.

So - this is just hypothetical - if every human has a djinn companion, what do you suppose would happen if someone's djinn companion got killed? That's assuming that they die just like humans even though they get to live much longer.

I'm agnostic, so I don't really know. I'm still searching myself in both faith, and spiritual elements in this world.
As to regarding your question, I don't believe in ghosts the way movie portraits them, but rather as something more spiritual. That our loved one's come to visit us. Personally I'd be an atheist if I wouldn't have strange dreams, that eventually become true in life. It's quite scary actually. And science can't explain it.

I haven't seen any ghost yet but I had experienced many unexplainable happenings in my life especially when I was having my on the job training in an old school. I heard the sound of the door being hit by something then I saw it moved yet no one is there. I even checked if there was a stone or twig that hit it but the ground is clear then I heard the teachers of the school talking about the ghost who just hit the door again. That means it happens even before. There will always be a turning point where you would believe even though you don't want to.

As much as I would like to believe in the supernatural, I can’t say that I do. I’ve heard a lot of stories and anecdotes from friends, family, and acquaintances, but I always feel like everything has a logical explanation. Most supernatural experiences that people have, often have explanations so simple that they wouldn’t have even thought of them.

I believe that if “ghosts” do exist, there is a scientific explanation for them, like some sort of space-time anomaly where multiple dimensions cross paths or something like that. I don’t believe that ghosts would be the literal spirits of the deceased.

The supernatural happens to be one of them because what happens in this realm, the human mind can't grasp and no explanation for supernatural phenomenon (such as sighting of a ghost) can (for that reason) be furnished.

There is a difference between a ghost and a spirit. A ghost is supposedly the non-physical part of any creature that has a body. They've been reports of people seeing the ghosts of animals (like the horse which the headless man in Sleepy Hollow rides). So a ghost without a body isn't considered a living being.

A spirit on the other hand is a living, intelligent, supernatural being, has no corporeal body but can directly interact with matter altering it in different ways. Ghosts can't do that but spirit beings can.

Sometimes we are really having some different ideas when it comes to certain things especially in believing to particular ghost or god because it will depend on us on how we look at them. There are some instance that we tend to believe that a particular thing is existing because of some real experiences or because of the religion that we are a member of. I have never had any contact with ghosts so I can't say for sure whether they exist or not. However if you believe that the spiritual world exists its fair to say that there is a good chance that they exist. A ghost is normally defined generally as the spirit of a dead person that appears to someone that is still alive because they are not settled e.g because they were murdered e.t.c. So maybe ghosts exist, I can't say this for sure. In my Country they believe if dead people have something to say they appear in someone's dreams. Is this the same thing?

Yes. I believe in ghosts. The supernatural world is true as much as the physical world is true. We have a soul and spirit also that we cannot see but we have it. The soul is the real person and not the physical body.

I also think that those ghosts who got stuck here on Earth or maybe they are not yet informed that they are already dead. Truly, it is a terrfying experience as until now, I could still remember the image that I saw that time.

I felt something unusual around me many times. I politely requested "Go away", seriously.

That's unnerving. I wonder if they were specifically targeting you. Some spirits do that. I wouldn't want anything like that to happen to me. I hope they went away.

I never had a ghost experience. I cannot say that I believe in the exsistence of ghosts but i cannot say that I dont either. Not everybody can have this experience but if I would have one I would like it to see the ghost of my loved ones who already passed away.

I'm Nigerian and we're a superstitious lot so I have no choice but to believe that there are ghosts and evils, mystical creatures whose intent is to harm us. I've never come in contact with or had any supernatural encounter but I have heard stories and while l am often reluctant to believe them, I have no choice when the story is being told by someone l respect and see as "rational" and "sane". It's a conundrum I'm in because my rational mind doesn't want to believe such things exist yet I'm afraid of the dark and what might be lurking.

Twenty-six years of existence and I haven't seen any ghost in my lifetime. I've heared of poltergeist existing that my seem to be legit, but that's mostly away from my country.Biblical facts talks about occurrence of fallen angel, and that might be the plausible reason of their existence. Nowadays, most horror comes from real people who do crime. They are the real definition of ghost, because they might have lost their soul and humanity even before they died.

I haven't really had any form of contact with ghosts since I was born, however I still believe in them. Some of my friends claim that they have seen ghosts before. I think some of them are just utter rubbish but what astounds me is I have this one friend, and trust me he is the most honest person that I've ever known, he believes he has seen a ghost before. I can't think of a logical way to put a conclusion on his claim. Its either he is lying, which is very unlikely given that I know him for who he really is, or he is telling the truth and has really seen a ghost. His claim is probably the strongest force that keeps me on believing that ghosts do exist.

Yes, I believe in ghosts. I have seen ghosts when I was younger. They are real. I have seen different forms of them. When I was younger, I would see creatures that looked like monsters. They had tails and gross-looking skin. Some of them even looked like their skin was decaying. They really looked like monsters. I can't explain clearly how they looked because they were in different forms. They were scary and that time, they wanted to get me. They would come into our room from the window and they were huge in number. They would gather around me and I was really afraid. I was crying hard and I would hug my mother. My family couldn't see them but I could. Then my grandmother took a broom and just swayed it around the air. They were afraid of it and they jumped out of our window one by one. I would never forget the night in my life. That was terrifying.
There was also an instance when I saw an old man walking with his rod. He was blurred like gaseous in appearance. I knew then that he was a spirit and not a physical person. I was staring at him while he was walking with his head bowed. Then when he passed through the wall, that's the time I ran and I was very afraid. Another instance was during one afternoon when I was just staring out of our house window, a creature suddenly appeared in front of me. I couldn't recognize its appearance because it doesn't look like a human. It has a heart-shaped face and its face was full of blemishes. Until now, it is still fresh in my mind. I had lots of encounters with the spirit-world when I was younger. People may not believe in me but these are my real experiences and its reality cannot be changed whether people believe it or not. These are my personal experiences that I will always remember in my heart and in my mind. So Yes, I believe in ghosts! Then when I became a Christian and I got saved, I learned that these are actually evil spirits (fallen angels). They would just disguise into different forms. Spirits and the Supernatural world are real. It's not just what we see. There is still more to this world than what we can physically perceive. Yes, I believe in ghosts.
