Between Twitter and Facebook which site generates more traffic for blogs?

One thing that is very common with all social media is the possibility of using them to generate traffic for one's blog or website.

There are numerous people making use of both Twitter and Facebook, but among the audience of these two sites, which one do you think would generate more traffic for blogs?

I think Facebook generates more traffic than Twitter. It is so obvious that Facebook has a lot more users than Twitter and It's easy to share in Facebook. It is also more common than Twitter. However, Twitter is also a good platform to direct traffic to blog sites.

I agree with you. It is also easier to go viral on Facebook than on Twitter. In our country, Facebook is like a necessity for everyone, having Twitter is the least of our priorities.

Yes it's true. Mostly in twitter is celebrity gossips compared to Facebook wherein we can post anything we want. We can upload photos and videos anything we want. Mostly in twitter is to give opinion to the you follow. It's mostly interaction with your friends and and followers. In Facebook, it is more than that.

Almost everyone in our country have facebook accounts. From the young ones to the young once. Facebook is now a art of our everyday life and truly useful in a number of ways. However, Twitter is also a good platform to generate traffic into your site and using them both is a great idea.

Yes. I agree with you about facebook. They have more users than twitter. Anyways, twitter is still a good way to generate organic traffic. It is better if these two along with other social media sites are used to develop more awareness for your product.

From the news report that I had recently read Facebook has more than 2 billion users while Twitter has just slightly less than 800 million users. The numbers say that Facebook is favored by more users and that most of the users in Facebook are dynamic who tend to react to the posts. When you promote in Facebook you get more conversion than when promoting in Twitter.

My guess would be Facebook as it has the greater potential for different types of post. Somehow I forget my Twitter account and my guess is that others do so and favour Facebook. The ideal, of course, is to use both. However, that was not your question.

I think Facebook generates for traffic for blogs compared to twitter because it is a lot more famous and aside from that there are a lot of users in Facebook compared to twitter. Although twitter is also a famous site but when it comes to public post Facebook has a lot more users since it is also a lot ore easier to manipulate. Facebook is not really strict compared to twitter.

I agree. With Twitter, there would be a number limit of characters you can only use for your tweet unlike Facebook that it has no limits and you can say everything you would like to say in a single post. I also think that Facebook have a friendlier interface compared to Twitter.

In my opinion, Twitter generates more traffic for blogs. However, it depends on how your plan yourself and target audience. Most people who use Twitter to generate traffic always target trending hashtags.

On the other hand, for those with videos, Facebook is the main source of traffic. Videos attract more traffic on Facebook, but very few tend to open blogs on Facebook.

I think Facebook generates more traffic than Twitter. Basically, it's because more people have accounts on Facebook than Twitter. In our country. Almost all of us have Facebook accounts and it's like only 1/2 of the users also have Twitter accounts.

I would go with Facebook on this one. Both of them generates a huge amount of traffic everyday but I have this feeling thay Facebook would be the best between the two. It is because not all people are familiar using Twitter, just like our country, people tend to use Facebook more than Twitter. For us, it is a platform to say whatever a person would like to say. So we preferred to use Facebook as it has a lot of videos and content going around. That made me think that Facebook generates higher traffic than the Twitter.

I would choose Facebook, because Facebook is probably the biggest and most famous social media platform. I would guess that it has more account than twitter so it is safe to say that Facebook generates more traffic, but it still depends on your account, like if you are more famous in Facebook of in twitter, or what account have more follow in twitter or Facebook

Well it really depends on the tweet or the post in question. Some Facebook posts won't get any hits. The next one will get a ton of hits. Same with twitter and tweets. I do know that our articles get a lot more Facebook likes than tweets. Some of our articles get over 50k Facebook likes per written article.

Well, I think that both Facebook and Twitter have an ability to increase the traffic on your blog. It all depends on your ability to use these platforms effectively. If you are very active on twitter and do have a considerable number of friends and followers then the use of Twitter can be effective. If you have an active presence on Facebook and the different groups on Facebook then you will be able to use it more effectively to generate traffic for your blog. Ideally, it would be great if you use all the Social Media platforms to promote your blog.

In my own opinion, Facebook can generate more traffic for blogs compared to Twitter. Facebook has a lot of users than Twitter. Facebook is the most active social media network there are more Facebook sharings than Twitter.

It depends on your follower if your twitter has more follower than your Facebook. But, as we all know Facebook has more user than twitter so it is safe to say that it can generate you more traffic than twitter.

I would say Facebook. It has a lot more users, and post previews are more blog-friendly. It's also a lot easier to go viral on Facebook compared to Twitter.

I agree with you. Using simple Mathematics, Facebook has a larger population than Twitter. So if you are going to pay for the traffic, Facebook is more effective but you can use both to generate more.

I think facebook seems to have better traffic. And also they seem to have more traffic from the facebook pages and groups. So if you are promoting the groups for the promotion of the blog. You tend to get more traffic. And that traffic can be easily good enough for getting regular traffic. So compared to twitter I have found the facebook to be more effective.

I think Facebook generates more traffic for blogs than Twitter because most of the users of Twitter are a bit uninterested on reading long passages and etc. (based from what I've observed from using it). On Facebook on the other hand, the audience are varied and so you will still get users that are interested with reading blogs (especially if it's about things that are interesting and catchy). However, I also think that it depends upon the amount of followers you have. On Facebook, if you are a bit unknown, it's likely that you'll get less to nothing with your blogs similar to when you're unpopular on Twitter. But, if you're popular on either or both sites, then you will definitely gain a good amount of traffic.

Facebook overall does have more users than twitter. However, I've found your content reaches more users on twitter because Facebook's guidelines choke off a lot of incoming traffic. They want you to pay to advertise your own content through their pricing system with boosting and such. So the way around that, is to offer a social media bar on your content, where users can view it and LIKE it.

I agree with you. There are a lot of Facebook users around the world. As I notice, there are just a lot of millennials on Twitter. Whereas, on Facebook, people of all ages use it. Even my grandparents have their own FB accounts.

I know that some will say Twitter simply because his Twitter account is more active than his Facebook account and the opinion also goes on the other side of the fence. For me, it is Facebook that is gaining more traffic as per the testimonies of my freelancing friends. They get more traffic easily from Facebook because the posts are more engaging and maybe their relationship has been cemented through the years.

You also have to remember that Twitter dispatches tweets a lot differently than they did in years past. I've seen tweets as old as five hours from people I follow come across my timeline before their more recent content. Whereas Facebook is better at delivering the most recent dispatches of people you follow directly to your timeline.

I think the social media site which sends more traffic to blogs would vary from blog to blog. And it all depends on who your social media connections are. For a fan base built "organically" you are likely to draw more traffic from that social media site each time your post is seen.

That said I believe that it's a lot easier to get traffic from Facebook and it certainly is the social media site which sends many blogs most of their social media traffic.

I'll go for Facebook because of the large number of users and visitors. A website could only generate more traffic unless there are many users of that certain website. In this case, I think Facebook has the most user compared to Twitter. The simplicity of the website also affects the number of users being hooked to it thus making the website on the go 24/7.

I think it's facebook because facebook has more users than twitter. Everytime I scroll on my bews feed I see lots of marketing promotions such as shopee and Lazada. Youtube also because we have to wait few seconds before the skip ad button appears and it's a bit irritating especially when you're already in the middle of watching video then there's another promotion that will appear.

I would have to say Facebook, just by the fact that it has more people on it. The last time I checked it was the biggest social media platform on the planet. With Facebook you can get loads of free topic and even advertise through paid ads. The best thing about paid ads is that you can target your ads to a certain market that are more likely to buy your product or read your blog.Facebook is also more accepted worldwide.Everyone knows Facebook, even my Nan.

If you want my opinion, then it would be Facebook.
To begin with, Facebook is a lot more popular, but it's also "heavier" in terms of traffic. It just has so much more features than Twitter. Therefore it creates more traffic for blogs.

Well! There was once a Facebook interface with Twitter. If you tweeted something, it would automatically post to Facebook and vice versa. But Facebook no longer allows automated posting. So now I have to choose between the 2 platforms. Because Twitter is so much easier to share automated posts via Twitter, I use it more than Facebook. However, it does seem, even though I post manually to my FB profile and pages, that it results in better traffic.

I think that most of the time I am using Twitter for dong some small task on my freelancing sites since it is very common that Twitter can be used for it. It is very rare that I could use Twitter for gaining traffic from a certain website or blog because mostly I am not gaining success for gaining it that is why I am refraining it for such purpose but maybe in h future I would used it again if I already have the great skills and knowledge to increase the traffic of a certain blog or website.

Facebook is the social media that generate more traffic that other kind of socil media here in my country and no doubt of that. I can say that alk twitter users also has a facebook account but not all facebook users has a twitter account and i am one of that.

Well, It totally depends upon you which social media site you want to target. If you are using Facebook then you have post regular content so that people come and read your blog. But if I talk about myself then I have used Facebook because lots of people prefer to use Facebook instead of using Twitter. You can increase followers through Facebook faster than Twitter.
