Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

When you start working online you probably think you're going to be successful all by yourself.  Most of us think this way and it's not actually a bad thing, but you will need to build strategic business relationships in order to break through and become the most successful company in your industry.  Yes, building relationships with other people or businesses in your own niche and industry will actually help you out in the long run.

Think about it, how many leads do you think a popular blog in your niche can send you if you were to simply build a positive business relationship with them?  If you just started talking to them, helping them with certain things you're great at, and overall building a friendship with them you can actually get them to post about you and that means you'll be getting plenty of traffic from their website.  You will also get an SEO boost if you do this right because you can get a dofollow backlink from them, and we all know how much Google loves dofollow backlinks from niche related websites Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

You can turn your competitors into friends
When you're trying to build strategic relationships with people, you should never cut out your competitors because they can actually turn into some of your biggest help.  Most people look at their competitors as a person or website that should be avoided, but that's the exact opposite of what you should be doing!  You should encourage your competitors to talk with you, learn who you are and what your goals are, and this way they will begin to open up about themselves and you can actually team up on future projects.

If you're turning a competitor into a friend, you need to still be cautious about their actions in the beginning, mainly because you don't really know them well enough to let them log into your hosting account just yet lol.  Actually, you shouldn't let them do that at all unless they have programming or web design skills that could benefit you, but only let them in if they aren't a direct competitor anymore.  Think of it as you're friends, but you're still cautious of what their true intentions are, so you'll be nice and build a relationship with them as long as they don't get access to your systems lol.

Your customers will appreciate you more than they already do
Building a relationship with your customers should be the first people you connect with.  Knowing your competitors and being friendly with them is nice, but being friends with your customers is where the money will come from, so start with them and branch out later Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

Your customers will appreciate you more than they already do if you're trying to reach out and get to know them.  They will think "This guy at (company here) is talking directly to me.  Not many businesses do that!" and they will be smitten with your words even if you're just telling them jokes Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

Influencers will talk about you more without being paid
If you can build a relationship with an influencer in your industry they will definitely talk about you more without asking to be paid for it.  They will see you as a friend and they will actually recommend you in the comments or in a unique post they make for you.  This will boost your guaranteed if they have enough of a following in your industry.

Building a business relationship with an influencer usually means you've been paying them for posts, which is pretty common in this industry, so be ready to pony up some cash before they start talking to you as a friend Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

You will start seeing free traffic coming in
After a few weeks or months of building relationships with people online, you will start to see the traffic coming in.  This traffic tends to be high quality, super targeted, and possibly even organic from the search engined due to all the dofollow links you've acquired from these new friends.  It's a slow process to build this type of relationship network, but it's definitely worth it in the long run Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

In conclusion
If you're just starting off in your niche you'll likely have to build up a website or blog that will entice someone to want to talk with you.  You can't have a 1-page website and think "Everyone wants to be my friend!" you will need hundreds of pages of content in order to show them you know your stuff.  Never push away a competitor when you should actually be accepting them with open arms.  Your competitors can be some of your biggest allies in the battle for online supremacy.  Remember, it's better to make them a friend than an enemy, so rule the internet alongside them instead of fighting with your competition lol.

From a website to a Fortune 500 company. The thing that amazes me is that some businesses insist that they don't need a website. Well! If you have no plans to become a Fortune 500 company then you could probably get by without a website. But this is a true story. We had just moved to a new city and needed to find a place to take our car for some repairs. I went on the Internet and found a website for a car shop located in that city and it was nearby. The guy provided us with great service. He made a really good impression on people who had just moved into town. I told the guy I found his website on the Internet. He looked so surprised and said something like “Really! I was wondering if that thing worked!” LOL. Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

Yeah, it's pretty shocking to see companies without websites and they think they'll be extremely successful in their industry. I usually get a lot of my web design clients this way, I will show them what their competitors are doing online and give them an idea of how much traffic they are missing out on, and they almost instantly sign up with me lol. I think they like working with me because I'm more of an SEO company and not web design alone, so they know I can help them generate additional traffic and sales and not just make them look fancy online lol Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

Some people I talk to think they're going to open a business, set up a free website with a builder from GoDaddy or something similar, and make a ton of money. What they don't realize is that they are not being taken seriously when their visitors see "Powered by GoDaddy" at the bottom of their website. Some people don't even take websites seriously, no matter the design, if they see "Powered by WordPress" at the bottom. A person browsing online wants to be on the absolute best website within the industry, and if you're using something for free then they will deem you as low income, and that means you're not the leader in the industry who should be making plenty of cash to pay for a basic hosting account lol Building relationships are how you take a basic website to a fortune 500 company

I think this is why one should look to sell content that they are familiarized with properly. The love would then make their customers have a deeper and more natural connection.

Even small businesses like in your anecdote about a car repair shop we are seeing the need for the online approach. A website matters a lot in times of need like that in your experience that you were able to have your car repaired because of the help of the internet. For those who cannot afford a website at least you can create a Facebook Page which is free and easy. That will take care of your online advertisement.

It's out of ignorance and the naive ones that will still boldly claim that their business doesn't need website in our world today especially when it's a fact that the world has turned into a digital world where almost everything is carried out online. I don't think that I have purchased anything without looking it up online first and mostly on 90% probability the information which I get online influences my decision on what to do, where to buy and when to buy.

The website also acts as a means for the customer to make enquiries and seek clarifications. They can get to choose what they need to buy without having to be locked out by physical and time barriers.

The customer is everything when it comes to building a great company /websites and this is one of the reasons we should always try as much as we could to be able to have the needs of those customers at the back of our minds. Also, having a good relationship with those rivals and competitors in the same niche where we are can be a sure way to make things work in our favor in the long run.

When you damage your business relationship with your customers to any small extent, there is 99% of losing that particular customer and also chances of the customer influencing others people he or she knows to stop patronizing your business.

Yesterday, a friend of mine returned microwave she bought from one store that sell second hand tested brand. On buying it, she informed the seller she only want the particular one she was purchasing and if it's not working properly that she will return it and take her money. It turned out that the microwave was faulty and when she returned it, the seller tried to force her to take a another as she wouldn't like to refund her money. When it's obvious that the buyer won't take any other one, the seller became aggrieved and aggressive. I really felt bad because I knew that has damaged the business relationship with my friend and she will never buy from them ever again.

So true. No one will want to be the customer of a business that cares little about them. They might not say it openly but deep down they will always carry a resentment. With time they would then look for other better alternatives.

This is the point where they microwave seller should have made that little sacrifice of refunding instead of having to fight it out with the customer. I always hate it when I am into any dispute with my customers as I try as much as I could to ensure everything is sorted out as soon as possible.

Friendly competition is surely more healthier for both parties you can benefits to each others. I like how this article highlight how beneficial building a relationship to your competitors and customers. Avoiding your competitors is really a misconception. You can both rise above it is like saying in the Bible, love your neighbor like you love yourself. Having good connection to others will really pay off in the future. Connections will help you to achieve your goals.

This article made me realize that this is the reason why I see many business owners are venturing on giving out PR packages to youtubers to increase their sales. They use influencer to further broaden their reach to people.
Anyways, one lesson in business school is that networking is power. The stronger your network is, the more stable your business can be. The power of building strong relationship is vital in any business.

Most people especially sellers don't understand the importance of creating a very good relationship with their customers even when there is a misunderstanding and the sales is terminated. When you treat such a customer well and don't feel too bad as a result of the termination of the particular sales, the customer would most likely feel indebted to you and will hold you in high regards and will definitely keep buying your products in the future.

A 500 company? Am reading about this here. Honestly I did not know.

I think it takes like 1000 or more transaction to reach fortune 500 companies. Playing solo and then getting random orders on freelancing site may not lead to that part. You can see that such type of companies take years to develop. And they focus on numbers. So it is all numbers game. Basic website is essential in early times. But in order to handle more people on order side, you may have to develop further.

It is going to take a whole lot of years for any company that is looking at getting on the top 500 company in the world. You get to the point where you start to believe that your company is moving to that point where you can make that impact in the world and reach to the apex of everything.

Yes that seems to be the case for many who are relying on the income from the website. I have learned from the experience working for small company that making million dollars and then keeping them would make any company fortune 500. And that may not be easy enough on that scale. Making a big business is surely not easy people do try for the same for years.

Fostering good relationships is always the foundation of a good company. You don't necessarily have to be friends with your competitors, but having a tightly-knit community for your business will definitely boost morale and people will be more willing to go the extra mile to help you achieve your goals.

So true. Having a tightly-knit community for your business is very good. It means there are people who are willing to help and support you. They can support you emotionally- giving you motivations and tips for your business. Sometimes they might be able to help you with money matters- lending you money and bringing you more investors by promoting your business to other people.

Having a good relationship among customers and competitors is not easy but workable and possible, a good foundation for a stronger and more profitable business. Though some companies really do insisted that they did not need a website, but they still ended up having one because people are all into Internet and for a company to be well known even in the farthest part of the world, having a website is a must.

I love what you said about turning competitors into friends. There's so much that can be gained from actually both building each other up rather than trying to cut people down - and I think when you're offering help yourself, people in turn will want to help you out, so it ends up being mutually beneficial.

Building relationships is basically networking. The more people you have in your network, the faster your business can grow. It's how you use those relationships properly that you can grow a business to where you want it to be. Be it friend or foe, like the saying goes, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is a good example. Networking is one of the fastest industry that can generate money. In doing business, relationship or connection is one of the important factor that can lead you to success. Doing things on your own is a slow pace road to success.

I think those are some great sentiments. I think that we need to always think of building relationships along with way, be they friend or foe, at some point you can benefit from them, and they from you.

I can see that you really put value in relationships which encompass almost everyone- with customers, influencers and even with competitors. I think that really requires skills too. But if being friendly and approachable is innate in you then that shouldn't be a trouble. No man is an island. Even in the fields such as building a website or creating blogs which most people think do not require face to face interactions.

Well turning competitors to friends through alliances is a good idea although one should be awfully cautious doing it because you know that when they see a chance to bring you down they'll take it without thinkng.

I like the line that says about turning your competitors into friends. If that atmosphere will prevail in the business industry then you can imagine the peaceful flow of commerce. But that is easier said than done because based on my experience a competitor here is always a competitor. In fact, even your close friends can suddenly be your competitor because of envy or jealousy.

I love that "make your enemies/competitors your friends". It is a great idea to keep those competitors as your friends so that you can know them well and you won't get that anxious about them. But you should still be catious on their real motives because not all of them were true. You may not know, they might be planning to bring you down. Also it is good to feel that customers will appreciate you more than you think, it could set as your inspiration to provide more of your good services. You just need to have good motives and good things will come to you.

You can never really be sure to your competitors. They maybe a friend today but a rival tomorrow. Preparation is the key to this things, be ready always. Plan ahead you need to be ready for the worst thing that may happen .

Building a strong bond with others is a fundamental part of success because no one can attain the true success all by him/her self. We need to team up with the other person who has a unique expertise in some fields in order to widen the visualization of your team. Wprking together and sharing ideas can really help you well to make a progresive improvement because you can utilize the ideas more oftenly because of the number of your team and their expertise fields is also a perk. Mostly, we must developa good relation into the customers. We must somehow find a way to be able to connect into them because it will help us a lot.

I remember one article I read before that says, at first your business will be about the products and services you are offering, but later on it will be about 'people.' And I couldn't agree more. The relationships you'll have with your suppliers, employees, and customers will define who you are as a brand. That article also said that better turn those business relationships to personal ones to solidify your growth. From a basic website to a Fortune 500 company, that sounds nice, let's all get there!
