How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche

A lot of people will take on the job of writing their own content because they really want to or they just can't afford to outsource the work to a credible writer.  No matter what your choice is to write content, you need to be sure it's content that will gain attention and engagement within your community, and that's why you need to know what to write before you even start.

You may think you can write all day, every day, and never burn out on topics but you would be wrong.  I write up to 30 articles a day and I get burnt out pretty quickly if I'm doing them all for myself and not for clients.  I get burnt out on ideas because I'm thinking of all my titles and keywords to target, unlike a clients order where they give me that info.  When you begin to hit a wall you'll realize you need to do a bit of research and figure out some new ideas to write on, and below are a few ways to generate those ideas!

Check the SERPs for content that is ranked
A lot of people will commonly check the SERPs for their main keywords to see what is already ranking, then they will rewrite those articles that are ranking and hope to rank themselves over time.  You already know the titles and keywords that are ranking, so hopefully, your website is trusted by Google, because if you do it right the first time you will notice your articles ranking quicker than normal with this little trick How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche

You can compile a ton of titles to write on with this method, and 90% of the time they will be golden nuggets of content which people love because they're already working for someone else How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche

Check Entrepreneur.com, Forbes.com, HuffingtonPost.com, etc.
When I start to hit a wall I'll go on the top 3 websites and search around using my main keywords or phrases.  I'll see a ton of content that is being posted, then I'll cherry pick what I like and rewrite it in my own words for my readers to enjoy.

You can't just copy and paste these articles to your website, you MUST rewrite them if you want any SEO benefits and branding potential because the search engines and readers will see you as an authority with unique content How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche

Go to the main blogs within your niche
There are authority blogs in every industry, no matter if you're in SEO or competitive basket weaving, you can find what people are talking about and see what's working for them.  You can cherry pick the titles and write basic outlines of their articles, then rewrite everything so it's unique as well as high quality.

I like using this method last because I tend to find plenty of content with the first 2 methods, but this is still a great way to build content ideas to write on and get a lot of content on your website How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche

In conclusion
If you write your own content or write for clients, you will likely hit a wall and start to realize it's getting difficult to generate your own ideas for content.  When this happens you should always have a way to get ideas for your next article, and hopefully, you use the 3 ways I mentioned above because they are golden tickets to content that people will love and gravitate towards How to get content ideas that you know will work in your niche
