5 skills a marketing manager must have in order to get a job

When it comes to online marketing, you can't just hire anyone off of the streets to manage everything that needs to be done.  You need someone that has the ability to do all the research needed in order to understand your market.  You need someone who needs to understand the art of negotiation in order to talk with potential partners and service providers.  You need someone who knows how to communicate with people, as well as your teams, in order to get the jobs done.  They MUST be a natural born leader in order to have people follow them in down times.  Overall, the person you're bringing on as your marketing manager needs to be comfortable building a team around them in order to get your clients work done just right, and if you haven't guessed it by now, this discussion will revolve around all the points listed above!

Must be a digital private investigator
If your marketing manager knows how to do basic research on your competitors, you're on the right start, but they will need to be able to dig up dirt on anyone and anything that needs to be found. 

They will not only need to dig up dirt, but they will need to do all the right market research in order to know what will work and what will not before you start the intended work.  Doing this will not only save time, but a lot of money, and that's why a marketing manager needs to know what to look for in the beginning.

Must be able to negotiate well
Negotiations happen all of the time when it comes to marketing, mainly because that's how we were taught to get the best price, so your marketing manager needs to understand how to do this well.  If your marketing manager can't negotiate, you'll be paying top dollar for everything you need in order to run your campaigns.  You'll be paying a premium for freelancers, salaries for their teams, software, etc. and that's not something a successful company usually does.

Must be easy to communicate with
Just because a marketing manager isn't likely to talk with a lot of clients doesn't mean they have to be difficult to talk to.  Someone with great communication skills will usually increase your sales, have a team that works better together, and be able to delegate while understanding the work process all at the same time.

No one wants to run into a problem and think "Man, I don't want to talk with the marketing manager because they're difficult to talk to!".  You want your teams to willingly go to the manager because they're easy to talk with.

Must be a natural leader
It's difficult to find natural leaders out there, because it isn't something that can be taught, and this is why a great marketing manager is worth their weight in gold.  If you're in the market for a marketing manager, with the natural born leader mentality, you'll pay a premium but that person will make you more money than you could imagine due to their organizational skills as well as their teams running efficiently.

Must be able to build the right team
Finding the right person for the job isn't the easiest thing to do when it comes to marketing, and a marketing manager should be able to do this easier than others.  They should know what to look for, understand a persons personality and how it will mend with the other team members, and know who will crack under pressure if there ever is any.

A good manager can put together the right team quicker, and cheaper, than most of the people that work for million dollar companies lol.


In conclusion
Finding the right marketing manager may not be the easiest task, but once you do find him or her, you will not have to worry much about your campaigns or building the right teams to get the jobs done.  You will likely have to just sit back and worry about the business, and not the marketing because your manager will handle all of that on their own.

Communication is very much important skill in this world for getting success about affiliate marketing expert zone. I have seen some people who analyse every traffic of their website. Where the traffic come from- from which source they have received the traffic- why the traffic bounce from the website- why not the traffic converted to the sales- they analyse every thing. In this way day by day they increase their sales of the website. They use some traffic analyse website. After that- they convert traffic to communication with several communication way. They convince traffic for sign up or for subscriber list or for the offer. Later they convert it to sales.

Exactly my point. If you are looking at starting out as a marketing manager but flops at good use of communication, there is no way possible for you to have a breakthrough in your affiliate marketing business. All business starts with a conversation and when you lack the communication strategy to capture your prospective customers interested in buying what you want to sell, you have failed woefully.

Google has been giving us now a day traffic analysis service free or there are huge and huge shorten link and traffic analyses services are available in this world where you can analyse every traffic for your website- coming from an organic way or from non organic way- their staying period- their actions on the website and the most beautiful and successful website is that when your visitors are coming again on your affiliate product based website for the new collection- you are updating your website regular- you are tracking the shipments from your website and you are regular giving update and latest product information by a subscriber option. I wonder how they convince the visitors into signing up to their email listing. This is my own stand against subscribing to emails because why would I enlist when I am not really interested in all the products of the site. Signing up to the email subscription is a commitment that you are going into because you will be receiving an email afterwards that may only be annoying to you.

I must say that being a marketer is not so easy specially nowadays, you have to think of your own unique promo or platform in order to attract more customers. True. I think the most important attributes is the investigation and the building a team. Companies pay thousands of dollars to get market research done so that they can target the right audience. You can't sell a product without knowing who your client is. This knowledge is vital to a marketing manager especially in this era on Internet marketing. You also need your marketing manager to build a team that is motivated enough to drive sales.

Another factor would be the specialization an online marketing manager has. He could be proficient in online recruitment and training but he doesn't know how to tap volatile niches. He could be a good motivator to his subordinates but a poor content spinner. What I'm saying is a good online marketing manager has to know everything to work properly. His strengths must be diverse and to have that he must be well experienced.

Yeah, negotiations are a very important part of being a marketing manager and it's a part of every transaction that he/she will be involved with, so it's really very important that the title is awarded to someone who knows how to strike a deal, find the best possible one for the business, and close it.

Gee, I am surprised by the first item – being a digital investigator. I understand that competition is always there and a good businessman has to beat competition but I didn’t know that you need to do some sleuthing. Maybe doing the promotion and some other marketing chores will be good enough instead of investigating the competitor. I know that it not unethical to make a research on the competition but maybe I will do it in the moderate way.

Communication with your customers and employees is vital. Also, you have to be a good leader for your team. Honestly, it must be someone that can direct employees hardly, but at the same time avoiding disrespect them. Someone that can be able to negotiate with them, and with customers at the same time. That would be my weakest point, because I don't know how to handle directing fellows, from keeping them comfy in their job.
