Is Paypal the best way to receive money?

I've been using PayPal for a decade now and I'm looking for another payment portal as a contingency.

Paypal offers solid buyer protection and easy ways to receive payment (such as when working online as a freelancer).

You can transfer funds from Paypal to bank or have a check mailed.

The biggest downside is that some had their accounts locked by Paypal for no reason.

Also, Paypal is not available in some countries for use.

What are the most reliable Payment Portals being used nowadays?

For me Payoneer is great, it takes less currency conversion fees compare to PayPal.

It maybe great but it's not really included as a payment method in most of the online jobs, PayPal is the leading when it comes to financial transactions, PayPal was founded on December 1998 so they've been in the industry for a while now, and almost all of the companies online have a PayPal payment method and so far I don't have any issues with my PayPal account and my transcations on it.

I think paypal pretty much dominates most of the market when it comes to doing financial transactions online, such as sending invoices, receiving funds, etc. The system works quite well, and there's very little hassle. In my opinion, it is the best way to receive money.

I agree. Paypal is a very secure and accessible service. I still use it right now. I get my funds easily. I don't have to worry about risks since it has high security features.

Paypal is the best way to send and receive money online. sadly, Paypal is not available in my home country. There are many countries where paypal is not available. The alternative method for getting payment online is payoneer. When you get payoneer account, you also get a payoneer plastic card which you can use at your local ATM. However, not many companies have payoneer as a payment system. There was a time when paypal accepted payoneer card and the bank account given by payoneer. You could easily withdraw paypal funds to payoneer bank or card, however, this option has been disabled now.

Paypal is very integrated with most retailers or sources of income online, so it's the easiest by far to use. I've heard that there are other methods that don't charge you as much per transaction, but they're just not a ubiquitous as Paypal, unfortunately.

Yes, paypal is very secure right now, don't have to worry a single thing except for the password. I had difficulties to get a new password.

Passwords are easy to save. Just have a separate copy on a piece of paper or something. Also, remember how to have a password reset in case anything happens.

I also agree. PayPal is so easy to use. But the problem is, my G cash could not link with my pay pal account.

I definitely have to agree with you here. I think that PayPal pretty much set the standard when it comes to sending and receiving money on the internet. It's one of those situations where something is often imitated but never duplicated. I've used other services online but none of them match the convenience of PayPal.

That being said, it's not without its flaws. The biggest issue is that many countries (mainly those ranked lower in terms of their global economic status), while recognized by PayPal, still lack certain crucial services when it comes to transferring money. This is where services like Payoneer have stepped in to fill the void. I'm sure PayPal will catch up in that regard, though.

I have always preferred PayPal. It seems like Guru, Upwork, Freelancer, etc all pay through it so it works out well. Ever since I got my first online gig in 2007, PayPal was the way to go and everyone used it. I recommend it.

This is my reason for sticking with PayPal. It's more widely used online, and the sources of income I have online strictly use it, which doesn't give me much wiggle room to use other payment methods. If I were diversifying the sites I used, I feel like it's be more of a hassle to get all of my money in one place at the end of each month.

If paypal is available in your country, paypal is the best payment gateway. There is no other payment service such as paypal. sadly paypal is not available in many countries and my home country happens to be one of these countries where paypal does not work. You can of course create a paypal account here, however, your account cannot receive money. Your account is send only, howeve,r you also cannot send money because paypal does not accept local cards and banks. If you cannot load money, how can you send money.
If they detect fraud, they wil lock your account. The accounts getting locked is a rare case.

I also use Paypal I haven't tried using any portals aside from Paypal. I'm still happy and satisfied with the service of Paypal they even call you if you have a concern about your accounts. Though, I'm also thinking another alternative because Paypal will change their policies these coming days. Hope there is another portal who can beat Paypal so we could choose better choices.

Paypal is the best. I'm glad I've continued using their service. I earn money online and they've consistently transferred the right amount to my bank account. I'm thankful for their dedicated service.

Certainly that Paypal is awesome when it comes to payment portals. I'm happy for you that you're also satisfied with their services. I've only used Paypal for less than a year. It is very helpful for me because I do freelancing online and I also pay for some goods using Paypal. I think it is the best way to receive money online because I think it is the most reliable out of all of the online services that offer this kind of system. Paypal has also been operating for a long time now and they have proven themselves to be a stable and a company that values their clients' security.

I think PayPal is one of the best because it offers convenience to its users, it's easy to use and very reliable, it's really my first choice. But for large sums of money I still transfer it to my local banks Visa Atm savings account just to be sure. I also have several debit cards linked to my PayPal account so that PayPal transfers would be fast and hassle free.

PayPal looks like to be the best online payment portal as it's fully accepted by most sites in the world. Although there are some problems that I believe PayPal needs to tackle, one is trying to to expand PayPal's reach throughout other countries and also the issue of limiting accounts by the portal.

The The first site where I actually made money was called Helium. In 2010, I had made $280 on Helium, however, I could not withdraw Helium payment untl 2012. helium paid through paypal, however, paypal was not available in my home country. Since I could not withdraw my earning, I stopped working on helium. In 2012, I was accepted on hubpages apprentice program where I was paid $11 for one article Hubpages also paid through paypal and I did not have paypal. Then I found a way. I used my US friend's paypal acount for payment and she would be sending me payments through western union. This payment modality worked for a long time.

I receive money through paypal and I am quite satisfied. The only snag with Indians is that we cannot keep the money in our paypal account and it gets automatically transferred to our local bank account. Skrill was so cool and convenient back here. Withdrawals through mobile transfer were instant. They lost customers in our country when they started overcharging if you are receiving dollars. That gave PayPal a chance, and it only takes 2hours to receive money on my mobile phone.

In my own opinion Paypal is the most reliable payment portals because I still don't have negative experience on using Paypal. I don't have a bank account or credit card but still I can use Paypal to purchase online or spend my income from my online jobs in online markets. But the issue of locking a certain account I think there is a reason behind or just a trouble on system but I think they can fix it, because if they will hold your money or locked your account without any reason it is against the law, or you can file a case for that, because its your money and you are paying their services when you withdraw or they can use your money if you decide to keep it in your account so you have the right to make some actions or complain because its not what it supposed to be.

PayPal is an absolute juggernaut, and in my opinion, with good reason. Ever since I started earning money online, PayPal was the one and only service I preferred to use.

I've used websites which forced me to use other services such as Payoneer and Skrill, but I was quite unsatisfied with those services. It isn't that they are bad--Payoneer in particular is a fairly good service--but none have matched the ease and convenience of PayPal.

For example, I couldn't open a Payoneer account without connecting a bank account, which was extremely annoying and difficult in my country. PayPal on the other hand allows me to simply connect a debit card I opened with my bank, and I can transfer money directly to that individual card without having to include all of my bank info.

Things like that are what make PayPal a league above the rest.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

For most of the freelance and the marketplace websites, the paypal and the payoneer seems to be the only right way. You can see that some of the time paypal may not be a good choice if the fees are high. But if the client wants to have dispute center, then you can see that paypal is one of the dispute handler in such case. So that seems to be the only option that I have seen.

Yeah, I think that's the only problem about the Paypal. They are not allowed some countries to use their services, and also the payment price is depends on your country, if you want to transfer your paypal balance to your bank account the payment is a little more higher if you live in Asian countries.

I think there is amazing potential in online payment processing payment systems. They are not many options. I have to concur that at the moment paypal is the best. It has the widest reach globally. I think it is the preferred way of paying online because of its simplicity. All you have to do is press a button and money is received by email almost instantly. This is a genius way of transferring money. I think this is what crytocurrency is trying to emulate. In the next few years, I think this will be the major method for online, money transfer.

PayPal is the best way to withdraw your money into but that being said also, I do like to use Bitcoin as You can invest also in bitcoin. But, yes PayPal is so much easier and hassle-free for withdrawing your money. Because once it is in your PayPal you can also withdraw/transfer this into your bank straight away and within moments it is in your bank. Whereas if you were withdrawing from an external source straight to your bank normally you would have to wait between 3 to 4 days.

For me it is. The easiest way to receive money is Paypal. I also think it is the safest way. So far I have not had any bad experiences with Paypal, everything works properly. Personally, I am very pleased with the service. Also, many friends use Paypal to receive money and have never had any problems. I read somewhere that some people had problems but not directly with Paypal than customers or sellers. It also happened to a fake email from Paypal in which it says that the money was paid, but it is not. I recommend everyone Paypal, but also be careful.

It's great for several reasons, and not so great for others. I think the biggest downside is the fee structure, and how bad that side of things can be. It's not a problem if someone pays you via the friends and family option, but if they pay for goods and services you end up losing a certain amount of the cash in fees.

I do think though that their market share dominates and for a lot of people that's all they use, so it becomes something that is a super common payment method.

Paypal is the only payment processor being used by most sites I've joined so in my case, a Paypal account is a necessity and not a choice I can make. I've only tried Skrill once to withdraw my earnings from a site that had been blocked by Paypal but that would probably be the first and last time because I'm mo longer working on the site. They didn't charge anything for the first transfer transaction from Skrill to my local account but the charge for succeeding ones are quite hefty.

None of the sites I'm with are offering to pay with checks. I wouldn't want to receive an international check either because it usually requires 30 days clearing on top of the waiting time for the check to arrive. On the other hand, Paypal withdrawal can be instant and charge-free. My biggest online earning site takes care of the fees. I don't allow my earnings to stay too long at Paypal. The site pays me instantly upon request and I also withdraw it instantly unless I intend to use it to pay for a bill. I trust Paypal but there's no point in allowing my cash to sit on an online account.

I do wish that PayPal would start it's own online store, because that would really be a hit, I think PayPal should think of another service.

Aside from Paypal, there's also crypto. I'm finding many people use this as an alternative to Paypal. Compared to other payment methods, payment through cryptocurrencies can be a cheaper way. Although it can be a little inconvenient especially for those that are not yet familiar with crypto.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think it's really hard to use the crypto as payment. We all know how fast to change the value of certain cryptocurrenies. There're some situation instead of earning $45 worth of bitcoins, it could become less than $30 worth of bitcoin. when you receive your payment.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I've experienced this too. But sometimes it goes the other way and your $45 could be $60. It is good to check the BTCUSD pair price chart to see if the crypto you're supposed to receive as payment is bullish or bearish. Only take payment when BTCUSD is bullish to be on the safe side.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, you're right, with three to four days of transaction before you will receive the cryptocurrency as payment, the value is already change and most of the time is not favor to your expectation. If you don't need the money, and willing to wait. well this one is a good method of payment.

Ever since I used PayPal I haven't experienced any delays in money payments, credit, transfers, it's always automatic unlike other payment processors in which there are times that money isn't credited to my account automatically and I have to call or chat with their customer support along with whatever supporting evidence I have, these processors have employees who are trying to steal money from their customers that's why I stopped using other processors.

PayPal is now getting noticed in my country, unlike 5 years ago when there's only a few people who has a PayPal account and most rely on their credit cards or bank accounts when it comes to international money transfers.

Nowadays PayPal is very convenient because people can withdraw money through atm's and can buy by using only a PayPal Email and Password in PayPal checkout counters. Also one can withdraw PayPal money through MoneyGram and others money processors.

One of the things I like about PayPal is its security, to me its unhackable since they tabs on what device I'm using and my location, whenever there's an unknown device detected and the access location is new, PayPal would notify and ask for my confirmation before any transaction would be processed. This is a good method and safety measure that PayPal is implementing.

Recently I had some trouble with PayPal and a local processor, it seems that my local processor which is GCash is now imposing a minimum transfer of $15 on all PayPal to GCash transactions and when I transferred $13 it was debited from my PayPal but not credited to my gcash. I did complain in both sites and it was credited to me after 2 hours. I really hate my local processor because it has a low conversion exchange rate and for imposing a minimum of $15 for every withdrawal, there was no minimum a week ago, they suddenly implemented it with no warning whatsoever.

As the receiver of the payment you have to be pragmatic. I sign up for whatever payment processor the employer wanta t use, which is usual Paypal. HOWEVER -- make sure you know the applicable rules. A lot of employers and freelancers break the terms of service to evade fees. It is not worth risking having your account closed for a few dollars.

PayPal is almost perfect but recently it made the withdrawal threshold much higher for transfers to my local processor. A month ago I could transfer as low as $2.50 to my processor but now the minimum threshold for transfers to my processor GCash is 20 times higher which is $15. This I think is unfair.

I agree that there are countries where Paypal is not valid maybe because for security reasons regarding the policies of the government. As you said that you have been with Paypal for a decade already that means you have fully tested Paypal regarding the service. Now I wonder why you are still looking for another payment processing center when you have no issue with Paypal.
