I try to build up as many business relationships as possible so I can always send leads that I can't handle, send leads that I don't provide a service for, or just send leads because the customer annoyed me and I'm already handling enough work lol 3 solid ways to improve your online image

I try to build relationships with people within a broad niche. A good example of this is for my new writing company, I've been emailing web design and SEO agencies asking if they'd be interested in me sending them any clients that would be interested in their services. I don't ask them to send me leads when they come across anyone looking for content because I don't want them to think I'm only talking to them because I want to make more money off of their traffic and not build a healthy business relationship lol 3 solid ways to improve your online image

Over time I'll have plenty of business relationships sending me clients, and I'll be sending them some as well, and everyone will be happy 3 solid ways to improve your online image In time I plan on choosing a select few businesses and adding them to my newsletters or just sending them the majority of my leads that I don't provide a service for. When you say relationship, what comes to mind is the friendship that can be started in Facebook. As you see Facebook uses the word “friend” for the connection and not just follower although it also has the term “follower” in use. Taking in a friend request means you become a sort of friends but actually it is just a connection. I think this applies to both freelancers and business too. You can see that some of the time improving image of the person through promotion is same as the business. You can see that the branding part is where the image improvement is done. I personally have found out that some business need to do better promotion among people. And have to take things with content writing and customer support side too.

I never considered the idea to utilize sites like Quora, Yahoo Answers, and other Q&A sites as a means of establishing authority within your niche. That's actually a brilliant technique. Reflecting on it, I can definitely see how that would get you noticed. A lot of the time when I'm trolling through answers to my questions, I'll come across some well thought out answers that make me think "Who is this person and how do they know so much?". As a direct result, I'll look into their profile to find out who they are, and if they have a link to a personal website I will more often than not visit it.

I'm glad getting to see that you mentioned offering discounts to people who gave good reviews. Discounts are like bribes and once one takes it, she or she would be forced to always look for more by doing more good in order to get more. Personally, I don't joke with giving discounts and incentives because it gets me more loyalty.

Well, they may not ALWAYS return, but you are correct in that the odds are in your favor when helping others. I know that I appreciate it when others help me, so I try to give them my patronage and to also recommend them and their products and services to people who I know. The word you used, "community", is so important--if one can maintain a successful network with others, he or she will always have good business, I think, and this comes through good business practices, obviously. For example, as a college professor, the more that I assist and support my students in one class, the more I see them show up in other classes I teach later, and they drag their friends into the class with them because they recommend me and what I do.

When you offer a discount because of the positive review, it will surely encourage the client to be closer to you. That is clearly giving importance to that small deed that he had done by giving you a positive discount and for sure, the client will appreciate that offer of a discount. And there is a possibility that the client will spread the news or maybe post another positive review to that effect.

The discount idea is indeed an awesome thought. Just make sure that you attach a conclude date to the coupon though. When I offer discounts to my customers, I usually make them valid for 3 to 6 months after the initial date of it being extended.

I'm glad you mentioned that last tip about "Guest Posting". It reminded of a site. I got on the mailing list because they send information about PAID Guest Posting opportunities. Unfortunately, most of the opps are in niches that I can't write about it. But you never know when the perfect door of opportunity may open. So I keep checking. I think that this is a really good point. A lot of people in the online environment act like a bunch of snobs and elitists, and I think that they can really lose a lot of potential business because of a lack of tolerance or patience for others. everyone is a potential customer or client, and whether or not you cater to their specific needs, it is smart to listen to their pitch or concerns to get a feel of how you could do business with them. Why waste or toss away a potential customer just because of a lack of patience? You might really miss out on a wonderful opportunity of you do so.
