A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Marketing is evolving more and more each year, so if we don't stay up to date with it, we'll fall behind quicker than we'd like to think about.  Just a few years ago no one thought about making their website mobile friendly, and now it's basically a requirement if you want to be competitive within the search results.  A few years before that, we weren't thinking about our business profile on Facebook and marketing to all of the prospects there, because it wasn't as good as it is today.  Just looking at these few things shows us all that online marketing is an ever changing atmosphere and needs to be kept up with in order to stay on top or just have a fighting chance with your competitors.

As for offline marketing, well there's a whole different story, you can do the same things that worked 20 years ago to pull in leads and they still work just as well or even better than they did before A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine  People and businesses have been using the same offline marketing techniques for many years because they simply work, and they work well if you implement them right.  Think about it, a simple logo along with your website on a pen will sit in someones office for years.  Do you think a banner ad will come back to someones memory in 2 or 3 years?  How often have you thrown away a pen?  People forget about things they see online because we all have a short attention span, but no one throws out pens because they can be used at a later time regardless of what website is stamped on them A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Below are a few old school techniques to marketing your business that still work today A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Hand out business cards whenever the chance arises
One of the cheapest ways to get your business in the hands of a potential customer or client is to hand them a business card.  I've actually written up entire discussions on how a great looking business card can land you a lot of leads compared to a basic templated one.  When you get your business card in the hands of someone that is interested, you're giving them a direct line to you and they trust that a lot more than finding your contact information on a website A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Business cards are known to increase your sales and sign ups for small fish as well as whales A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Give away services or products as prizes for auctions or contests
You won't profit from this style of marketing in the beginning, but you will likely get some referrals from the person you're doing the work for.  You'll have to donate your time or products to contests where you are worth winning.  For example, if you're donating an SEO service to a golf outing, it's highly unlikely you'll be hitting your target demographic.  Now, if yo'ure donating your SEO services to an SEO convention that does a raffle to anyone who is attending, that's where you'll make more money A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Get strategic when you target this type of giveaway and it will benefit you immensely.

Get your name in as a public speaker at an event
This method pairs up well with the giveaway at events because you'll be able to pitch the giveaway as you're speaking A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine  You'll need to obviously target specific speaking events in order to target the right people, just like when you give away services for contests.  You can speak to people interested in your niche and industry, and they will see you as a leader within that industry.  They will then sign up with you in order to get more leads, sign ups, sales, emails, etc. (if that's what you're doing)

Work with local printers and publications
This method can't really be done online unless you're working with someone that allows you to add a link within their newsletters, which doesn't happen too often.  What you'll be doing is working with local and regional newspapers to get an small insert within the pages of their newspapers.  It doesn't take much work for them to do this for you, but it will still cost you some money and patience.  It will cost money, because they need to profit, and you will need to print up the inserts yourself.  You will be able to target 10,000 or even 1,000,000 households with your insert, the amount is up to you.

Snail Mail EDDM
This doesn't have the best success rate, especially if you're selling an SEO or Website Design service.  You'll need to sell a physical product if you want EDDM to work.  EDDM stands for Every Door Direct Mail and you'll basically be sending your post card out to thousands of homes within a specific area.  You can target the homes based on medium income, which I highly suggest you do, because you can be sure the families you're targeting can afford whatever you're trying to get them to buy A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

In Conclusion
These are just 5 of the many offline marketing techniques that you can use to boost your sales much more than if you just wing it with everything you do offline.  People who solely do online marketing forget the power of offline marketing and how many sales it can actually bring in, which is a whole lot if done right A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine  I wouldn't suggest you try every method at the same time, probably just one or two in order to get your feet wet, then branch out and make even more money A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

Razzy,
It may have been you that actually inspired me to go and print my own business cards, and I have been using them a great deal lately to spread the word about my skills and about my services offered. I recently did do a public appearance to promote my writing, and I handed out business cards at that, and I have already seen a great response because of this through my emails and blog traffic. I guess I am combining the business card idea with the public speaking idea from above, of course, and this tactic is getting me more online attention.

Talking an event can be a great way to boost the traffic we have at the website we run. I mean if we could do it in a good way, one would understand that the audience will be wowed to visit our site at the end.

The business card - usually called calling card – is still a potent way of advertising yourself or your business. Indeed it is imperative to hand out your business card to relevant people that you meet especially when you are in an event that is related to your business. Just take note that the modern business card contains your internet address like your website or social media account. That’s the start of your networking.

Great marketing tips, creating awareness even offline can help boost the financial abilities of an online store or sites.Nobody would just sit and know about any site online unless the right awareness is created.Sure,it great ways like handing one's complimentary card with one's site address on it,placing a signpost with the site address on it if one also has a physical store, talking to people about it and printing it in even on bulletins would go a long way to create the necessary awareness for one's to attract great online users.

This are great ways to really sell yourself. I guess this all boils down to whatever good and reasonable method you can do to promote yourself should be done. As a result, all the seeds that you've planted in the people you encountered will eventually reap the harvest of success. you just have to be ready also when you sell yourself and people will hire you. Sometimes one of the mistakes people do is they know how to advertise properly but they lack the follow through in their crafts and ended up losing a prospective client as well. So it's a best thing to be ready to sell and ready to give products so that nothing is wasted in your efforts.

Business cards and snail mail? Do people still know about them? LOL. I guess they do. My kids still check the mailbox and there are some companies out there that still print business cards. A few offline marketing techniques that could turn your website into a cash machine

One important method for offline marketing missed by the OP is networking. You need to get in touch with your potential client in order to drive sales.
Business cards, pamphlets, handouts, brochure etc also help you to promote your business. Having your banner or poster displayed in the places that are visited by a large number of people also helps.
If you have a budget, advertising on newspapers is also a great way to publicize your business.

Another effective and easy way to do offline marketing is to pay for a newspaper or magazine ads (Always include your website). You can run it weekly for newspapers and monthly for a magazine, it is cost effective I can assure you that you'll have traffic, done it a hundred times already. Here local banners and posters are still effective.

Offline marketing is not as easy as online marketing because you have to move when doing your marketing offline. It is the real world, so to speak, that you need to knock on the door and distribute your spiels. In the olden days the newspaper ads is very effective that one newspaper here that specialized in the classified ads was the best selling newspaper. But when the online business got popular, the ads on the newspaper waned and now that best selling newspaper with the classified ads is only number 3 in circulation.
