5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

Whenever we're doing some marketing, we are hoping that with every link we place we're going to get one of two things.  We either want to get some direct traffic from the link we placed or we want to get some higher rankings within the search engines results pages in order to get some traffic that way.  What we do this for only has one goal, and that's an increase in sales for the website we're working on, right?  Sadly, it doesn't always work out as we planned and we have to continually work on our marketing game plan in order to optimize it so works better every day.

When it comes to marketing, there are good sales copies and there are ones that don't do anything for you at all.  The good ones all have a few things in common, but mainly, they're using trigger words to entice you to come to the website and sign up or make a sale.  In this discussion we're going to go over 5 of the best 4 letter words that you should be using in some way, shape, or form in order to boost your marketing efforts.

Those words are as follows:

The word "FREE"
We all know what this means, you're basically giving away something for free and people are likely to come to you in droves in order to save some money and get your free product or service.  Now, it doesn't really matter what you're giving away for free, as long as it relates to the industry you're in and you're targeting the right people.

Businesses have been using the word free for a very long time.  They don't intend on giving away their best products or services, just the things they can afford to lose in order to possibly gain a long time client.  Think of it this way, if you were giving away a free piece of Hershey chocolate and a $2.25 piece of fanny may candy, most people would take the Hershey because they don't have to pay for anything.

If you really ant to increase your leads by giving away a free item, make it for a limited time and show a timer that will count down to 0.  Once the timer hits 0, your free offer expires and no one can get it again.  This will increase your sign ups and sales because you're creating a sense of urgency and people don't want to miss out on anything 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

The word "Sale"
Everyone is looking to save some money, so they usually gravitate to the word "Sale" since it means the price of your product or service is a little less than it normally is.  You product or service could actually cost twice as much as your competitors, but if you put it on sale you should see a sales increase 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

Putting something on sale creates a sense of urgency, just like the method I mentioned above where you use a timer, and people usually jump on urgent offers because they don't want to miss out on anything.  Psychologists say that when you put something on sale you're actually tapping into the emotions of the potential buyer, increasing their urge to purchase.

It's actually a proven tactic if you use the word "Sale" in your email campaigns as well.  Studies show that you usually get an increase in sales by 2% to 3%, which doesn't sound like much, but it can make you a considerable amount of money depending on your product or service.  You will need to add the word "Sale" at the end of the subject line, right before the cut off, in order to see the best benefit.

You don't always have to put things on sale, just when you think it's the best time to do so.  Also, putting every item or service on your website on sale probably isn't the best thing to do because your visitors won't see an urgency due to everything being reduced.

The word "Fast"
Something free or on sale is good, but fast is just as good or even better!  People don't have much time on their hands because we always overwork ourselves or fit too much into our own schedules.  This means we don't get much free time to do anything we want.  If you use the word "Fast" in your marketing campaigns you will notice that a lot of people will come to your website or store because they know they won't be wasting much time.

Of course, you'll actually have to be fast with your service or whatever you're doing in order to keep the client coming back.  Think about it, if a mom of 3 comes to your store and needs something specific done for her, you need to get it done asap in order to keep her happy.  She will remember what you did for her and she will likely share her experience with friends and family, potentially increasing your sales from referrals 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

The word "Easy"
Using the word "Easy" is another psychological effective word because no one wants to be challenged when learning something, doing something, buying something, etc.

Let's say you have a problem on your hands and there are two ways to solve it, both being the correct way, but one has 10 different steps and the other only has 1 step, which one do you think you'd go with?  If you didn't pick the single step plan then you're just being difficult on yourself lol.  If you're like the rest of the world, you chose the 1 step plan because it will solve your problem with the least amount of steps.

People like taking the easy route, so show them you have that by using the word "Easy".  People make complicated decisions all the time, so by using the word "Easy" will reduce the stress they're under because they will know it's actually easy lol.

The word "Best"
One of my favorite words to use is "Best" because it shows you're second to none and your competitors can't even come close to competing with you.  I've actually tested this out in PPC ads, banner ads, sales content, and many other marketing forms and every time I do, I see an increase in sales compared the the previous advertising that didn't have the word "Best" in it.

Having the word "best" in your marketing campaign shows you have a much higher quality product or service than what your visitors can find out there, so they shouldn't even try searching because they already found the cream of the crop 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

In Conclusion
Using any or all of these words in your marketing campaigns or your on page content will likely increase your sales as long as you're using them in the right way.  You can't spam the words across your ads or homepage becuase it will just look tacky, you'll still have to place them strategically in order to see the best benefit from them.  Get out there and do some split testing to figure out what works best for you, once you figure out the best use of them, scale up your efforts and watch the sales roll in 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

I think the word discount is also in demand these days. And the word cashback is among the favorite of people. So that's another thing worth thinking about. I have found out that increasing sales have their own limitations if those words not regularly used in that case. I think this is more or less skill of the copywriters in such case. That tells you what to and not to do in that case.

Ahhhhh Discount! I forgot about that one 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales I could have also added in "Clearance" because it all means you're saving money lol.

The only difference is that discount means you're reducing the price of a product while clearance usually means you're discounting the price of an old product you're trying to get rid of. I personally love seeing "clearance" when I'm shopping for my little girl because I can usually find clothes for next year or even some she can wear that day if she really wanted to lol 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales And for anyone who has kids, we all know they grow like damn trees and if we don't have to invest a ton of money in their clothing, it's a great thing lol.

You'll definitely need to know how to write if you want to increase your sales with these words. These words can only help your writing out so much, you need to be able to convey why people need to purchase before they decide to open up their checkbooks 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

Yes cashback and clearance seems to be a lot lately. I noticed people who had the better copy on the black Friday made more sales. It's kind of trial and error though. But it can make whole year worth of sales in these times. So it can be done on that case. I am not sure how the people increase sales with just word power all the time. That's some skill.

In the olden days the most popular word in marketing was “rebate” or “cash rebate” which is a scheme where the customer gets a coupon for each purchase that he can use for the next purchase. But times have changed and the term rebate is not being used anymore. Discount is the most popular, I think, because all product promotions have the discounts in their marketing scheme.

Yes "cashback" and "rebate" seems to be in demand even today. it's just that now we have moved towards the web. And we tend to look for lesser offline based words. Considering the black friday is going global. I think those words will continue to exist in our world.

Awesome piece once more! The truth of the matter is that we can always understand this better in life situations. I've been working with a firm for sometime now and the word 'Free' is what we use to boost our sales whenever we have the need to do so. It works and I'm glad to learn more about it.

Those four letter words are really working methods to boost or speed up sales. These are commonly used while preparing to make contents on a blog or website. For the sake of marketing, they should be included in both topics and bodies of contents. When visitors come and see those sales pushing words, they decide to take actions hoping to get some free stuff therefrom.

These words can and also should be used when it comes to pure marketing not just blog posts such as ads, promotional offers, affiliate marketing, email marketing and more.

They can be extremely effective because they catch the readers/buyers attention.

So true, I actually use them in many of my ads but you need to be careful with these. Some platforms don't like when you sue words like Best, Better, Free, Sale, etc. It's probably because they don't want you taking advantage of their visitors, which makes sense, but if you're really giving something away for free then they should do a little bit of research and let you use it in your ads 5 of the best 4 letter words to use in order to increase your sales

Yeah, in marketing it is important to instantly grab the potential customers attention. You have only few seconds before they skip your ad or whatever you are offering and that is why it is important to use specific words such as the ones that you have listed.

Besides those listed above my favorite to use are also: "act now", "guaranteed" and "new".

This was a very interesting post here. This post seems deceptively simple, but I think you are right about the effectiveness of these terms. The term "FREE", I am sure, most definitely jumps out at people and entices their interests. People flock to this term, especially in today's economy where every penny counts and many of us are struggling to make ends meet. I think that these words can grad someone's attention, and if you can do that, you can at least get some traffic to your blog or site and try to snag more of any audience.

When you said 4 letter word, the first thing that came to my mind was "F**K Mind is very dirty.
let me get to the point.
People are always attracted to FREE and SALE. Even if the product has no value, people will always receive the FREE item. People will go for SALE even if they are not buying.
The words like fast, easy, best sounds cliche, but these words many people.

True. SALE is another good word that people love. And that's something we all crave for when it comes to the sales from the customer. Not a lot of customers prefer to have higher prices. And so they always go for the sale word. And we can see that people who focus on the sales and the free items. They can surely be working on those parts too.

recently, I read an article on consumer psychology. The article said that people wait for SALE to make a purchase. They do this for two purposes:
1. they shop during sale because they can save money
2. they shop during the sale because this is what they have been doing since a long time.

Yes that seems to be the case. I personally look for the sale on some of the offline stores. And the cashback in the online stores. And that takes care of the money in my bank. That is good enough in that context. I wish to get into more of cashback type sites though. It seems favorable in that context.

Great advice as usual, and I agree completely. I always see these words not only in blogs and sites but even in Youtube videos and all those videos always do very well in terms of views. I think that these are the types of words that even when they are overused you really just can't help but notice it once you come across it no matter how many times you are burned by it in the past because these words poke at your reward sensors in one way or another.

There is a saying that the best things in life are free and I have to agree to that. Whenever I would see a sign that says free, my recourse is to check on it. Well, it simply means that the word “free” means a lot to most of us and it may be the most interesting thing to see at all times. That is the reason why in selling real estate and other products with high value, they always include some freebies. Sellers of condo units now give free 2 months from condo dues and there are sales pitches that say there is a built-in tv in the living room of the condo that they sell. Truly the word “free” is magical to consumers.

I agree. It really is magical and a very useful tool for any marketer which is probably why it has been used for decades and is still continued to be used until now. The great thing about it in the context of modern day is that we are now able to track words and their effects so we have data as to how effective really this word is and I'm sure it does prove that it helps a lot for a company to make use of this word. Of course as with any tool it should be used in the right way and if you are able to make it work for you then you will get a lot out of it.

Those four letter words are the tips I have been using to generate lots of sales daily on my website. Words like Free, Sale, Best, Fast and the likes really work out for website owners when it comes to convincing visitors to buy something on our sales page. Because it's not easy to convince someone to buy online, you must try and make use of those four letter words to generate lots of sales.

The word "FREE" is the most powerful word that can entice people to check out what you are offering. Everybody want's to get FREE, who could decline that kind of offer. I used to download free e-book, free video tutorial, watch free webinar, and love to go to restaurants that offers free taste of their new dish.

I love free things, feels like you have won a mini lotto.

Sale - I am always cautious, too many sales and you are just trying to scam the public into believing they are saving money, it cant be a "sale" price every day. The sales where savings are minimal, or products STILL higher priced than competitor regular pricing,

Not all sales are created equal.

Absolutely and I have noticed a lot of clicks on the word free as well as the others. As many people love free items and products anything free really. There are loads of sales coming up after the new year well we do in the UK not sure if anyone else gets January sales.
