3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Traditional advertising methods are beginning to struggle compared to quality content marketing.  In the past you could purchase some prime commercial time on your favorite channel or put up a billboard and get plenty of clients, but it's not as effective today as is was 10 years ago.  This is because they evolution of marketing that is moving into the digital realm, which means you need to start pushing out plenty of quality content to entice people to work with you instead of your competition.  Content marketing has shown promise over the last couple years and will likely increase over the next few more years.

There have been plenty of studies on content marketing, and who's doing it, that shows more than 70% of B2C and B2B companies have a plan to increase their content generation in hopes of building their client base even more than it already is.  Many of these companies know that it's a long journey to content marketing wins, but there are the few out there that will attack it as if it will come overnight, which it won't.  The ones who think it will be a quick win are in for a rude awakening when they are writing up content for months and nothing is happening.

Writing content for your website isn't as easy as a lot of people make it to be.  A lot of the blogs you've been on have writers who have been churning out content for years and only get better at it the more they post.  You won't be on their level right away, but don't let that discourage you, because you can post quality content on your own websites or blogs and still compete with these bigger companies 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  When it comes to quality content marketing, you'll need to work on the following:

Be Helpful To Others
Smart marketing is done by helping, not hyping.  A lot of people think that online marketers are just people tying to get others to purchase something or sign up to a newsletter, but we're not lol.  If you're doing proper content marketing, you're not always pitching a service or product, you're writing up quality content for everyone to read and learn something.

We know that when you help someone out, they are more likely to come back and purchase from you when they are in the market for your service or product.  If you are providing quality content, in the form of helping others for free, they will begin to trust you and see you as someone that isn't in it for the money.  You're basically playing with psychology and getting them to purchase from you at a later date by helping them out for free today 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Kraft is actually a great example of this since they offer a load of great recipes for anyone to print off or simply read online for the next time they want to make dinner.  Of course, the majority of the recipes call for the use of something related to the Kraft brand, but it doesn't matter much because they are helping people make a decision on what to make for dinner.  People will usually purchase Kraft products if the recipe calls for it, but we all know that you can substitute a competitor and be just fine.  What Kraft is doing is giving the buyer freedom to choose whatever they want, they don't necessarily have to purchase a Kraft product but they will likely do it since the recipe calls for it and they don't want their own cooking to differ from the finished product shown on the recipe page 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Another great example is Home Depot and how they devote an entire section of their website to "Do It Yourself" or DIY projects that people can do on their own at home.  Now, this is kind of odd since the company also employes thousands of contractors across the United States.  If you think about it, it's a tricky way to get people to hire these contractors 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  The person might try to do the work themselves, which means they will likely go into the nearest Home Depot and purchase the products they need.  If they fail to do the work themselves, they may call into Home Depot and see who can do the work for them, and this is where the contractors come into play!

Tell An Amazing Story
We are all wired to get pulled into a great story that we're reading, and this is why you should become a great story teller.  You'll basically be writing up a story that pulls people in and keeps them on your website, which will likely turn them into a client or at the very least someone that shares your content 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Personal stories are taken to heart more than something you researched.  This is because the person reading the story will feel like you're talking directly to them about your own experiences, and they will hang on every word.  You can talk about pretty much anything, just be sure to keep it niche related so the reader stays with you and finished every word like it was a delicious treat 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Produce Quality AND Quantity
When you decide to push into mass content marketing, you will need to focus on quality AND quantity.  You can't just post a single piece of content that is 500 words long and expect everyone to throw money at you, it doens't work like that.  You will need to get into detail about your topic and give away as much content as you can before the reader understands you're there to help them out 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  You need to write every piece of content like it's the best every online.  If you're just writing so-so content that everyone can get through in a minute, and it's not the best out there, you will likely see a lot of people dropping off of your website.

I know that you might not be able to produce the amount of content you need in order to appease the masses, but you need to at least try.  Sit down for an hour a day and focus on writing content for your own website.  If you can write 100 words per minute, you can hammer out 2 articles at 3,000 words a piece for that hour.  Now, not everyone can type that fast since it means your fingers are pretty much moving all over your keyboard at a break neck pace without making any errors, so try to set your writing goal at one or two 1,500+ word post a day in order to compete online 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  Remember, your content still needs to be high quality in order to keep people interested.

When it comes to quantity, you'll already be doing above the average if you're posting two articles at 1,500+ words each and every day.  Most companies are posting once or twice a week and their articles are 1,000+ words each, so you'll have the upper hand by posting 8 more than them and having each post longer than theirs 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  If you can't write up high quality content as frequent as this, do not worry!  You can always outsource the work to a credible writer here on seocheckout.com and sit back while they get all your content up and running for you 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  You won't want to pay $3 for 500 words because that will just result in low quality content that won't help you at all.  If you need something that is 1,500+ words long and high quality, you'll need to pay a little more for the work to be done.  I myself charge $37 for 1,500 words but you're getting the best of the best content, as my clients can vouche for.  If you use my services as an example of what you need to pay for, you'll get an idea of how much it would cost to write up 2 articles a day at 1,500+ words a piece.  You can always hire a writer to do 1 a day, or just a few a week and then you focus on the rest, it's up to you.

In Conclusion
If you want to be competitive with your content marketing you'll need to help others out by offering up free content and answering any questions that get posted on it.  You'll also have to learn how to write up a compelling story that will help people relate to you as well as trust you, which helps increase your own sales 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run  You'll also have to write up amazing content, not some short garbage post, if you want to be seen as an authority and keep people coming back 3 things you can do with content marketing to help in the long run

Telling an amazing story is one key element that I have decided to add to the contents that I write on a daily basis and the reason is not far fetched in the sense that readers want to read contents that have got the story and once we can be able to tell them in a good way, they will come back to read most of your contents. I always get angry and bored when I read articles that got no story and having some dull linkups littered through the content.

Barida,
I love to read an amazing story, and i love to try to write one as well. Hearing the stories of others is always so inspiring to me, and often, this inspiration leads to my own content and to my own needs to tell a story of my own experiences. I think that we all have the desire to tell our tales, and those who are really good at it are incredibly compelling. I also do not like bland and technical and cold articles which could have been written by a robot and not a human being who i could be interested in or feel like I am sharing something with.

Let me share the experience of my husband. He is fond of reading science fiction that he thought he could write good stories. That was during the period when there was no internet yet. He would be writing his short stories and would be sending it to Analog magazine in the US. We live in Asia so you can imagine the cost of the stamps. After sending 20 stories, he finally surrendered that not one was accepted for publication.

Yes, if you can say something that is worth reading, I think this is a tact that marketers should be using. I think it goes beyond having great content, and just something that really attracts users to your site.

I am amused or maybe should I say confused with the telling of an amazing story. Maybe I will just delve into helping others. When I was co-blogging for a pet theme, I would be writing for the pet owners because I always write based on my experience. And what I had in my articles were self-help or home remedies that I had a first hand experience with my dogs. I know that my blog about the taboo food for dogs had received so many good reactions because it is a help in a way for dog owners not to feed chocolates since it will make the dog hyper and may cause heart attack. Simple precautionary measures are truly appreciated by the readers.

Yes, not sure I know too many amazing stories that I could put with the content..but I am sure there are some out there. It is just a project to find some I guess. or maybe create some. It is just something I guess I should work on.

Story telling in the content marketing is the way to go. You can see that a lot of people are making use of the story telling marketing. And that works out in such of the case there. I guess content marketing has some things with video and the written content. Story telling in either form can work out in that case.

I think on facebook groups this happens a lot. And there are some groups who are getting regular traffic through such help connections. I guess that is one way to grow these days.

It's always nice to be helpful. You may or may not get help back, but it is usually a good feeling to know that you have helped someone else. It gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling..lol. It may also help to give you a good reputation.

I've read more and more quality writing as the years went by. People are surely putting in the time and effort to improve their content. Just as you said, stories can hook potential readers and become future subscribers. The real challenge is staying consistent as time goes by.

That's a very good article about content marketing. I like your example of Kraft which gives out free recipe cards, now a lot of consumer food companies are doing it . A long running benefits driven campaign through content marketing is one of the most cost efficient and effective marketing campaigns that are keys to modern branding and image building. In the long run the company/business will greatly benefit from this having gained loyal customers and followers.

Your're right, I saw that free recipe also in some products right now, and I think it's really working. aside from the product, you will get additional information also and learn something new using their product.

Kakashi2020,
I think that it is a great idea, when you can manage it and afford to do so, to hand out some sort of free merchandise or perks for your potential or already existing customers. I am really fond of the idea of story-telling as well, and if you could come up with a small product or refund or idea that is tied into the the story you have told, and give that away for free, I feel as if that would definitely cement your site, blog, service, and product into the client or customer's mind.

Content marketing should not be boring. It should have sense and dedication to the products or services or whatever website is all about. Yeah your right it should be story telling in this way people are more likely to entice by content written, not only that but also on what you are promoting to. The content writer should be able to think out side of the box for greater content and visitor's good feedback and their expectation also. I think this article will also help other writers to gain their knowledge about how will they write their content enticingly where in people are more likely to visit the writers website. Good article!.

this is very helpful article. The content marketing should also direct to the point and easy to understand, and yeah, your right, should be helpful, and somehow not boring so the consumers should read it all. The content marketing is very important specially to increase sales.

The last one is where I see many people fail - produce quality and quantity. Initially, when people open up their website they're very enthusiastic, full of energy but over time they lose that "drive". At first, they publish great articles in large quantity but then less and less which leads to almost no articles for weeks. That's a big mistake for retaining readers.

Right, I saw a lot of website doing the same things. lack of interest coming readers and slow response from the article writers is maybe the other reason. They also need to advertise that to other forum what ever quality or quantity they have on their article if no one knows about their website, it's gonna be useless.

At the time of content marketing I basically try to make the content by high volume keyword based. High volume keyword always try to generate huge traffic from all search engines to the content. This content can be several types. Like for classified website, for article directory, for website , for blog post and for forum also.

Thanks
Centurion

Getting lots of traffic matters so much in any webmaster activities, without these traffic generation, there is nothing to push one's website status forward and it's from this traffic that possible clients are sourced from. Good content gets you this increased traffic because lots of people would be needing to go through what you offered.

Sharing personal stories or using customer testimonials to sell your content is one of the better ways for content marketing, as it gives potential customers the personal connection and people can compare their situations with the testimonials and get a better idea of what they're getting with your products.

Another great post Razzy, I think we should all strive to make our content marketing as interesting and useful as we can possibly make it. It is just one of the things that we need to develop and look to do, to make sure that our users are inspired by our site so hopefully they will spend some money with us!

Sometimes I am torn between quality and quantity. I have always tried to produce quality contents for my websites. However, when you are vying for quality contents, you will take a lot of time to produce content. It takes time to do research and produce quality contents. Developing average content or below the average content does not take time because you do not have to spend as much time as you would generally do with your quality content.
It is better to have 10 average contents rather than 1 quality content on your website.

Great article. Content marketing is definitely the way for the foreseeable future.Very few people watch television and prefer on demand services to watch their favorite programs. These services are advertisement free. So advertisers lose alot of revenue. I agree that quality is very important. And to get quality you have to be prepared to pay for it. In my experience working for someone whose pay is bad doesn't pay either because they demand a lot, it's just not worth it!There is alot of content written daily, if yours doesn't meet the standard I'm afraid you will suffer in terms of readership.

Sharing good stories about the product and how it helps people along with testimonials is a good and effective way to do content marketing. All the positive write-ups will greatly help in image branding.

Helping others by giving free quality content will help you in return to gain more clients because they will trust you and will be comfortable in making business with you. It's the law of reciprocity, the more people you have helped, the more successful you will become in your business.

Yes as you say to be an excellent story teller but also with good quality images to go with the story but try keep the story and I'm ages related. I often struggle trying to think up new content but looking around the internet can't hurt to help you think of related topics in your niche. Now am not saying copy no I would not dream of it but just get your brain thinking often helps and you be surprised on what you can come up with.

Yeah, providing images of good quality to accompany the story is a really good way to market your content, especially since some people prefer to not just read a wall of text, even if the content is good.

"You're basically playing with psychology and getting them to purchase from you at a later date by helping them out for free today."

Before I even read this sentence, I had thought to myself that helping people is basically psychologically priming them to look to your service in the future.

I think people underestimate the potential of basic human kindness. I've done favors for people in the past that I've completely forgotten about, only to have the person pop up later in my future and offer me help with something because they remembered the favor I did for them.

It's just another reminder to treat clients and customers like people, and not like paychecks.

Likley, that is the case, but if it works to benefit you why not do it? It is just one of the things that you can use to your advantage when you are working online. You have the added benefit of a quid pro quo going on, so this is good.

I acknowledge this same experience with myself directly. I have this principle of helping people without counting it as anything or expecting any form of gratification from them or anyone. This is because, if you look at getting something or anything from someone and they didn't turn up for you, definitely you would be left frustrated and disappointed. But when you do favors and forget about it, you would be very surprised when someone would walk up to you and say I'm appreciative of what you did for me years ago.

"This is because, if you look at getting something or anything from someone and they didn't turn up for you, definitely you would be left frustrated and disappointed."

This happened to me all too often. I lived life helping others in hopes that I would get something in return. And if the person couldn't reciprocate the kindness for whatever reason, I'd start to feel angry towards them and myself.

I learned that I'm far happier just helping people for the sake of helping. If they can return the kindness, lovely, our relationship has grown stronger. If you they cannot return the kindness, then I simply understand. Life is much easier and more rewarding this way.

I call it living the good and healthy way because if you ever get caught up in the world of disappointment, you will always remain gloomy and with no joy any time that you remember all the good deeds that you did to someone who never cared to show appreciation. But if you learn to live above expectations for the favors you did for someone, the individual would be the one feeling ashamed anytime they bump into you.

I had 2 businesses before and the main motto is quality and quantity. I have learned that the business of retailing largely depends on the delivery. If your company cannot deliver the orders on time, you will lose clients. Take note that clients make an order only when they need it and usually the need is ASAP. On-time delivery is one good trait that your company can develop for the loyalty of the clients. And, of course, the quantity of deliveries is for the benefit of your revenue.

In Marketing a Product Brand that helps customers out for free is always a good Brand because doing this would make people remember your product brand and because they got something free from it, then naturally they would say something positive with regards to the product and it's brand, this snowballing positive reaction through word of mouth would now help your product or brand's to have a positive image in the market, thus gaining prestige.

Thanks for such a wonderful article, the information contained in it would be very helpful for any one looking at getting the best out of his business or website activities. One's brand is who you are and if you fail in your brand outlook, there is nothing that makes you unique from other products that's up for people's demand. So therefore, it's best to get your brand to be very good to commander huge business influence.

I am not always sure that one's brand is ho one really is, but if we can merge our personalities with our brands and with our content on a personal level, then I think that would be the most positive way to present ourselves, to do business, and to attract clients and customers. I have done freelance projects, for money, which I did not feel personally invested in, but I have also created websites and blogs which DID represent my personality as a type of "brand", and those were always more successful because I felt more compelled, I think, to really put my heart and soul into them.

Thanks for reminding me of an effective marketing blueprint. New brands should just copy what other successful brands did instead of experimenting and implementing new marketing concepts, the proven ones are always the best ones.
