Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tactic

Back in the day, we never had social media platforms like we have today.  Sure, we could go on a platform and post an image or share a link, but it never had the impact it does today because of how everything is interlinked and working together in order to share information.  If you haven't figured it out yet if someone wants to create a lot of buzz behind a movement or something that happened, they simply have to share it on a popular social media platform and it can go viral.  Now, you can use this type of wildfire to boost your own marketing strategy, of course, you won't want to create fake news, but you can always create a buzz behind your own company or website in order to push people towards it which could make you some additional money along the way Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticSocial media platforms are only getting bigger and better.  Facebook started off by getting into a few colleges and now they have billions of members across the world who are active on there.  Instagram and Twitter are also massive entities in the social media game, and should not be ignored if you want to siphon traffic to your own website.  Every year they get bigger and bigger since younger people are making accounts.  There are easily more people making accounts each year than there are deleting their accounts.  This is because people don't think of deleting their accounts when they want to leave a platform, they'd rather just go inactive and keep their profiles up in case they want to come back at a later date.  So why exactly is getting on social media platforms a great marketing tactic? You save money on PPC ads
Most of the time you can set up an ad and get clicks to your website which will hopefully turn into a sale.  If you're on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. you can build a following overtime for free.  You can then post something on Instagram and have it cross-posted to Facebook and Twitter at the same time.  This saves a lot of time since you won't have to log in and cross post multiple times.  This will save you money on PPC ads because your following will share and boost your posts for you.  They won't spend money on your images or posts, but they will like them which will help boost you on Instagram.  The bigger your following, the more money you can usually make when you're posting quality content regularly.Strategically use tags
It doesn't matter what social media platform you're on, using tags in your posts will help you get found easier.  Some platforms will prioritize tags more than others, for instance, Instagram and Facebook let you add tags to your posts and you can rank within their internal search results easier because of the tags. If you're just posting random tags, you won't see much in the results department because people who do find you through a tag might not think your post is relevant.  If you're posting something related to dirt bikes, you can tag dirt bike brands, bike models, pro riders, event names, etc.  This will bring in people who are searching for these keywords and they will like what you've posted, even if it's not super relevant Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticYou'll get free traffic and sales
Everyone wants traffic, and that's why we tend to set up PPC ads on Adwords and Facebook.  We will pay for each click or per 1,000 impressions in hopes to get a sale through our website.  With social media platforms, we can get a massive flood of traffic to our websites for free, as long as we're doing everything right.  The traffic won't come in right away, so you will need to build up your profiles over time in order to see anything positive.  It will seem like a long road, but the journey will be worth it Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticYou can brand your website easier
People always overlook branding because they think it happens in time.  What they don't know is that if you're on social media platforms, it's much easier to brand yourself of your business in a quicker amount of time because of how many people could see your business Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tactic  All it takes is one clever post or something that creates some buzz, in order to get branded within your industry.  If you get branded within your industry, that's just the first step, you'll now need to focus on national and global branding.  Now, it sounds intimidating but if you've already gotten acknowledgment within your industry, you've done the difficult part Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tactic  Boosting your branding to the national or global levels is much easier because you already have a following who will gladly help you out Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tactic  It's easier to get people to share your posts and website
If you're running a PPC campaign, you will notice that not many people are sharing your services, products or articles.  Now, if you're posting to social media platforms, where it's normal to share with people, you will see that people are more willing to share all of your posts for their own following.  People on Facebook will share your posts, people on Instagram will repost your images and tag their friends and people on twitter will retweet your tweets in order to share your information Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticPeople want others to have quality information and products, so if they see you as an authority who has high-quality everything, they will share with their community and you benefit from it Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticIn Conclusion
Getting on social media is a great thing to do in order to save money on PPC ads.  Of course, you will likely have to invest into some PPC ads in order to pull in plenty of other people who might not be on social media, but in reality, there aren't many people who aren't lol.  Post quality content, images, services and products in order to build your following.  Dedicate some time each week in order to build up your social media profiles and you will be glad you did in a short amount of time Why getting on social media platforms is a great marketing tacticRemember to follow me!https://www.seocheckout.com/user/RazzyThanks!Razzy

It is not just a great marketing tactic, it is an essential and critical marketing tactic. Current consumer trends show that people will research a company online before doing business with them, and that includes their social media footprint. I company that does not have a social presence, or poorly engages with their audience, will have trouble attracting new customers.

"It is not just a great marketing tactic, it is an essential and critical marketing tactic."

If the only option one can see in this sense is strategic marketing, that person must urgently expand his / her horizons because what he / she can see is something very limited (which obviously already shows a clear disadvantage).

A few years ago it was seen as a great way to market your business or brand. But like you said, nowadays, it is essential and a vital part of your marketing if you want your business to do well. People use social media nowadays so much that if you aren't part of a social media platform as a business, you are losing out on a lot of potential users and customers.

Social media platforms are the ultimate tools to market one's site.It is where we get to meet people more.Facebook has over 2 billion users now and no forum has 150 million people frequenting it,so with Facebook alone one is at an advantage of free traffic and users and making money out of it.

I agree with this 100%.

I remember when social media was just beginning to blossom. A few companies here and there were experimenting with engaging with their consumer base through social media. It seemed like an interesting notion, but was still very experimental for the most part. It was interesting to see Facebook links from certain brands on their advertisements.

What was once experimental has now become absolutely essential. It used to be that a handful of companies would ask you to "like us on Facebook" but now that is something asked by literally every single company and brand out there.

Not using social media these days is a death sentence.

I know, right?! I am actually kinda shocked when I come across a marketer's website that does not have social sharing buttons or links to social profiles. At this point, social media is as important to organic traffic as is search.

Social media is one venue that prospective users of a product or service resort to. Yesterday we were invited to a new restaurant that we couldn’t find a good description. When we went to Facebook, we easily got what we were looking for. Social media is the most fertile place for marketing your business. All you need is one active account and you can do your marketing with ease. What’s good in social media is the free use that you do not pay anything in return.

For me, social media has been the best marketing tactic and strategy yet. I am not a big fan of spending too much to attract the traffic so I have been taking the advantage of the social media platforms for a while now. It works amazingly especially once you build up your own followers base - it can have a great impact on your website and your potential revenue. I really do suggest that every business or website creates their own profiles for each social media.

I think that actually, work as a marketing tactic is just the tip of the iceberg because the thing is much more, but much more besides than this (if you know what needs to be done, obviously).

The digital world is like the old card that companies used to introduce themselves to customers. Before some service is done it is necessary to see how things work in a virtual way (depending on the service / product and also how demanding the customers can be).

I think it is a great marketing tactic because just about everyone is on social media in one form or another. It is important to try to get the most exposure and social media can help you to do this. It is just a smart thing that you can do when promoting your blog.

The cheapest way to advertise and sell is through social media and that's the reason I have to concur with your assertion that almost everyone is on this platform for it makes marketing easier on it.

It sure does. Just think of all the people who use Facebook every day. You have a ready made audience for your blog or website if you are creating a Facebook page that is around your niche.

Social media is the present and future or marketing period. It's really changed the landscape in the same way as the death of most major record labels changed the landscape of the music industry. Social media puts more of the ability to market products and brands into the hands of the brand owners or overseers. Thus - most don't have to shell out thousands of dollars to a nameless faceless company to get our message out.

This is the reason I always tell friends that they can easily start selling via social media as long as they put up interesting and catchy messages to those audience that might be interested in what they sell.

It really is necessary these days to promote your site on social media because otherwise you'd have to rely a lot more on paid services and even then you won't exactly be sure if it will work or not. This way, not only can you get free advertisement but also you can get a way of using the free service to gather data on your customers and potential customers. Even if you disregard their personal data on their profiles, even the feedback they give you can prove to be very valuable and it's really something that companies previously never had so it would be a shame not to take advantage of it now that we have it.

I think having presence on each of the social media definitely helps. You can add up some value for your profile. And then establish yourself on the top of that. You just have to struggle to get the followers. And once established that it can be good enough in many ways. I think if you can get traction on one social media then getting on another one is not that hard. That's something you have to learn as well.

Some smart business owners can also employ a social media marketer to help them run it through and in as much as it might not yet the desired result at the beginning, it's definitely worth it at the end of it all.

Yes I have seen that happening many times. I think it all depends on how the social media marketing plan is designed. Some of the time people focus on the small tactics. And slowly they are going to be getting the leads. Some business don't have it easily though. That's what I have noticed from things around.

Very true. Once you gain a following on one social media then you can just use that to boost your other ones, as many users often do utilize multiple social platforms to follow and support those that they have interest in. It's also important to pick and choose which ones to focus on, as not all platforms will prove to be effective for all products and services, and some might be more effective than others so if you want to be efficient then it's best to waste as little time as possible on those that are not as effective.

Yes increasing follower has it's set of the method. And you have to increase the number one at a time. And this does not happen overnight. You would have to be really good with things for it to change. I don't think all platforms are going to be good enough for making this. It however does a lot better job.

With my social media influence i was able to drive more organic webtraffic then trough search engines so i always put it on first place when i publish new article with social media marketing because i start getting visitors for that article before search engines start showing it on search pages. However, i always optimize my articles for search engines as much i can, but yet it's visits from search are coming with little delay. Plus it's true that this kind of marketing can be absolutely free if you have solid number of interactive followers / friends on social channels

Having followers is the best way to go about it and that's the reason we need to have influence on such social media networks or have people that can assist us in doing so. It's worth it for most social media members will like to check it out as well.

It's also why REAL followers on social media are key. Your organic traffic won't come if your followers are bought and paid for bots or fake accounts. Yet some people who don't realize this - continue to persist.

I've been on the social media networks for the last six years or more and I've got to see lots of improvements as regards how users sell their products on that platform. Social media is here to stay and it's only the smart businesses enterprises that can truly tap from it by selling their products/services.

I have a page for my business on four different social media platforms. I have been able to increase my customer base by advertising on the social networks. Moreover, you can promote or advertise your products for free on the social networks. If you have some good friends or followers then they may share your page/ post with others. The end result will be an increase in sales.

Exactly! And this is why social media marketing and advertising is so amazing. You can literally increase your traffic and potential sales/revenue for FREE. I agree, if you have a few good friends that support you and share your posts, it can highly benefit you but you just have to not spam them too much.

I also have profiles on all social media platforms except Instagram.

There are 150 million monthly active users on Pinterest. Twitter has 256 million monthly active users. There are 2 billion Facebook accounts. These social media facts imply that these days every Tom, Dick, and Harry is on at least one of the social media sites. Social media sites are for personal interaction as well as promoting and marketing business. You can reach the customer base by using social media. And the best part is it is free.

Yeah that's one of the good reasons to use social media platforms for marketing. People spent long period of time in social media. And you could possibly target specific people to show your business.

Free traffic is the key here, I think. I post links to my blogs on social media, and that is where I generate the majority of my traffic to my blogs. I also get people on social media to re-post and share my posts, and this also constantly boosts my audience numbers and the attention to my content overall. All of my social media accounts overlap upon one another in this way, and I have social media to thank for the constant trickle of new people to my sites. People seem to be pretty open on social media to click on a link and at least give you a chance, so I think it is a necessity for us to use these tools in order to promote ourselves and what we are doing.

With the wide use of internet nowadays, an online business is considered the business of the 21st century. It has been said that if your business is not in the internet, then you are out of business simply because mobility is the trend today. I even see well known brands making advertisements online. Some even have their online shops. I see some in Shopee. Social media is indeed a great marketing tactic. It saves a lot of resources and it makes the business visible to people worldwide. It also allows mobility, which is very convenient to people. It's also true that social media makes it easier for people to share your posts. It's an easy way of getting referrals for your business and at the same time, an easy way to communicate right away for potential sales.

I have been using social media for the same reasons and it has really worked. I have also learned some extra points on the benefits of using social media thanks to your post.

Getting on social media platforms is really a great marketing technique and can help anyone get ranked in Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines. Social media platforms are traffic generating networks and the difference they usually make from other types of advertising platforms is that they deliver instant traffic to your website or blog. You can get a lot of traffic from these social networks to your website if you know how to use them.

Thanks again Razzy for sharing one of your many motivating, insightful and informarive post on social media gains. I won't be disputing any of the points stated above which I clearly think are facts on the subject. Social media has a lot of benefits in line with the said subject. It is almost possible to run a succesful site or business these days without social media. Good post by the way.

My take on using social media for marketing is the free and easy access. You can post almost anything on your timeline and the people on your network can be considered your captive audience particularly if your promotional post is relevant to them. And if you are creative in your marketing style of promotion, you can get some loyal fans from your friends especially those who have been your clients and are satisfied with their transaction with you. Again, the best thing in social media is that it is free.

Super agree. Social media if used right is an avenue to get free traffic. The problem is learning to get people to follow/like you and to get them to engage with your content and actually take action. It has a multiplier effect once you get people hooked to your content, they than start marketing it for you by sharing it. Social media if used properly is the best platform ever.
