Each has it's strengths and weaknesses when it comes to targeting specific age groups, but not a single one of them should be removed from your advertising and marketing rotation.  Removing one social media platform simply because they have some similar features will just remove money from your pocket down the road, and we don't want that.


You need videos in your marketing strategy
We all know that when we go on Facebook we're going to see an ad on Facebook that is simply a short video.  We see these all the time because they work!  Videos tend to auto play when you're  browsing through Facebook, the ads will too, and that means your message gets through easier than if you were just pushing a text based ad.

If you set up your video the right way and optimize it for clicks, you will notice that you are quickly getting a bigger bang for your advertising buck.  People will be drawn in quicker to your video due to someone speaking to them and you're not having to rely on some fancy images to pull the eye towards your text.  You don't need to rely on the chance of someone stopping on your ad to read everything because someone is already saying the text that you want on the ad.

I can see why chatbots would get a better ROI than simply putting out an email link. In fact, it might be a good addition to my hosting business, though, not my hosting forum. Anyway, I'm wondering if these scripts are free, paid, or both.

Oh, by the way, regarding mobiles, yes, of course, mobiles are the wave of the future with probably half of all website visitors using them. In that case, it's sink or swim.

The mobile browser is now the dominant force in the internet. As of the last news item about it that I had read, the estimated number of mobile browsers roaming the intent is 60% which means the computer browser is losing the fight for dominance. The domination of mobile browsers is actually expected since last year because the mobile phone is continuously improving on the aspect of internet use. It’s like the phone is used more for the internet than as a phone.

Are chatbots really that popular of a utility? I've never really found them to be any more helpful than a standard FAQ page, and sometimes they would even be far less helpful than that. Then again I would suppose they've improved the technology over time given that it's been years since I've actually tried out a chatbot, and it's just that the initial experience had left me unimpressed. I definitely agree on every other point though.

Also, I'm a bit ignorant to this but don't Snapchat and Instagram basically share the same demographic? The term millenials is getting more unclear for me every day.

Chatbots have come a long way compared to what they use to be lol. Back when the first showed up, they would just do basic canned responses sort of like what you see with chat boxes that pop up and say "Hello there! Can I help you with anything?" These chat boxes aren't to be confused with chatbots, because they do completely different things.

If you can get a chatbot to have enough responses inside of it, it will seem like you're talking to a person on the other end when in reality it's just a script running on the back end and matching up the questions with the canned responses you have pre-installed into the system 4 social media trends that you should get use to before 2018

Sure, it might seem like a chatbot isn't working how it was suppose to right out of the box, but it does take some time to get the tweaked in a way that they're doing a lot of the work for you. I like to write down as many questions as I can think of when it comes to my websites and then I'll write up detailed answers for each and input them into the chatbot. I'll then ask some friends, who aren't in the same field as me, to come in and ask as many questions as they can about my site so I can get an outside perspective and hopefully get detailed answers for any sort of blind siding questions I wouldn't have thought of 4 social media trends that you should get use to before 2018

Chatbots can be free or paid, but the paid ones generally don't have branding on them and tend to be better since they're backed financially from all of the purchases or subscriptions.

I would imagine that with the advances in artificial intelligence, that chat bots are only going to become more advanced and lifelike. Perhaps it will get to the point that rather than us having to continually input questions and answers, the A.I will be able to compose its own answers based on analyzing relevant information and questions that it has been asked in the past. I know that there are chat bots on the internet right now that are basically learning through the public continually asking them questions. Really fascinating technology that is definitely going to be useful for business.

yea, these points are already trending to me especially about being mobile, I noticed that most apps these days are mostly for phones and if you want to go through the web version, you might not get the appropriate thing.I was trying to use the web version of an app called Streetbee, little did I know I was wasting my time.The web version was a total mess.I just realize that maybe I should try the mobile version by installing on my phone and everything accordingly by.So yes chatbox and other point mentioned up there should be expected much more in 2018

Chatbots can be helpful when it comes to automating your content. Like you land on page and want to interact for some information that can be helpful. The same can be done with the Instagram. You can see that some trends of chatbot and others are about rise up and change the business around us. That being said, you can see that social media promotion is easier now a days with automation.

I think facebook groups are going to be a game changer in next year. Also there are going to be more manipulation of the news and the content in near times. You can see people doing more propaganda with their content. And that's something we have to consider as time goes on. People have to understand that trends are some of the times dependent on the people instead of the social network companies. So that's something one can see that for sure as well. I have to relate with your second point. I had issues with my mobile device and have been using the laptop to do some of my works. The limitation was electricity issues and that made me get a smartphone soon to keep up with trends.

I can't afford to lose clients to rivals in the business.

I have seen those chat bots on many sites and I use them quite regularly. I find it easier and faster to use chat bots. Previously I used to send emails to those companies. I don't have a personal website as of now but if I ever get to create my own site in the future I will definitely include those chat bots.

Social medias are critical for you company whether it is an online or offline company. I am currently advertising on four social networks and to be honest I have been able to grow my customer base by advertising and interacting with others on those sites.

I have not yet tried to use video marketing and this is something that I am planning for next year. I have actually talked to some experts on this.

As a freelancer, I'm already getting myself acquainted with almost all these listed trend to be used to before 2018. Specifically on the innovation of chatbots, it felt wired the first day that I experienced it in one socal media application known as Telegram Chat. But with time, I started getting used to it and understand how it works, depending on the instructions you set them to operate on.

Yep, those are definitely the current and upcoming trends that are here to stay. I think that people keep neglecting how important making a blog/website mobile friendly truly is. If you look at statistics you will be shocked by how many people actually browse the internet with it and make purchases through the use of a smartphone. If you don't optimize, you will lose quite a lot in the long run.

And definitely, videos are the way to go. They've already begun beating the pictures since videos can capture way more - it's basically a moving picture.

Chatbots are taking social media by storm. There is a large market for people wanting chatbots to automatically reply to their customers, mainly on social media such as Facebook. I've been asked like 10 times in the past month if I could create a chatbot for clients so they can respond to their own customers much more quickly. However, I do not have any experience in creating a chatbot so i have to unfortunately decline their request, and by the way, they will pay well. My last offer was around $750. So Chatbots are defintely a thing that's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Unfortunately, since these are bots that means some jobs could be lost, such as those that respond to customers via Facebook. Seems like robots are now taking over the internet, and stealing jobs from humans.. so sad.. LOL

I love bots. They are great and actually really helpful. I haven't set up any at the moment but I am thinking of getting one for my site which can respond to certain questions with answers and try to help the user without the need to contact me. Obviously, it is always best to offer the user a chance to communicate with a real person but you can't be available all the time so bots can be helpful in these times.

I love seeing you push the idea that people should be using video in their marketing. As a video professional, this is something that's been huge for me this past year. Video is becoming king online (if you've noticed the massive influx of videos that are shared on Facebook alone, and YouTube's huge prominence in marketing and advertising).

Videos, if done right, can be eye catching and suck your audience in, effectively selling them on your product or service. This is especially important for me since video IS my product. Being that people can see and share my videos online really helps my reach, and I see great organic traffic online.

I fully agree with #2 Think mobile and #4 Videos in marketing. The technology is always on the go and we don’t know what will be next. When the websites were created, the focus is on the computer’s monitor hence the resolution and the size of the webpage is taken in consideration with regards to the size of the monitor. But now it is the apps that is getting into the limelight. Websites are modified to be fit the requirements of mobile access. So if your website is not mobile-friendly then you have a problem. Vlogging and video advertisements are getting into fashion and the only hindrance is the difficulty in creating videos. But sooner or later, the video will come to fore and give the graphics a run for its money.

I would add to that list, paying attention to new Twitter feature enhancements. They have been struggling to grow active users and investors are not happy. So, they are throwing everything they can against the wall to see what sticks. But, for some darn reason, they still won't add the ability to edit tweets.

I am not really sure WHAT I think about bots yet--based on the link I just received from a friend this weekend (posted below), I am not sure whether to laugh or cry, lol. Technology is always on the go, and the combinations of different technologies and their outcomes are hard to predict or assume. I was a part of an online survey just the other day which was quizzing me about which financial processes I would feel comfortable doing with a live human assistant or a live bot assistant that resembled a human. The world I grew up on as a child, it's comic books and science fiction, is vastly eclipsed, in many ways, by what is actually in front of us right now. It is going to be really interesting, if I am around to see it, how the way we do business changes over the next few years.

I agree. I think the two most important strategies are mobile and video. I see them taking over social media in a big and significant way. Most of the world now access the internet through their mobiles. This is especially significant in areas where low income families life, especially in third world countries. Most people target audiences in the first world, however if you are looking for clicks, then it does not matter where the clicks come from.
