Are you still into affiliates? If so, what specific product/s are you promoting?

Affiliate Marketing is one of, if not somewhat the easiest, but also the first business marketing people online tend to indulge since it doesn't cost you any money (well sometimes it does if you wish to start earning asap) to start with. You can just simply go to any marketing website, pick a product or products, get their affiliate links and promote them. Easy passive income right?

The best thing about Affiliate Marketing is that you are earning money even while you are sleeping. The more products that you have promoted, the more sleep you get! LOL! Are you still into affiliates? If so, what specific product/s are you promoting? But to be a successful affiliate marketer, you must achieve some of the basic goals and requirements:

  • You must be a member of whatever online marketplace you are trying to get into - each site has a minimum requirement to be an affiliate; some require 3 months, while some other require 6 months. These are what I have observed.
  • According to some of the online marketplace, you should also have good track record and a clean and legit account.
  • You also need to have a good reputation on the community.
  • You should be available almost 24/7 for customer support since you would probably be selling internationally as well.
  • You are willing to risk your own money if in case some undesired things happen.
There are still a lot of factors to consider and requirements to achieve. Some of them are mandatory, some are optional. Either way, it's always nice to have them all since at the end of the day, you are the one who would benefit from it.

Well, i don't like affiliate marketing and i don't think i will be involved even in the near future, because you will never know what will be succesful and what will not. most of the affiliate marketing strategy i have seen online has always been to recommend the products I know and love. However, as many affiliate marketers will tell you, what converts and what does not convert does not always go the way you would have thought.
Experience does count for something when you are planning your affiliate marketing efforts, but trial and error
will always play a big part in the affiliate marketing world. You
sometimes have to just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.

True. That is why something is not for everybody. Affiliate marketing, to some, helps a lot because of their persistence and patience probably. If you have a good standing and rep on the marketplace that you are trying to hit, you'd probably get a good shot of getting buyers. And if you do affiliates for a week and have a lot of products on the list, you will see passive income coming up and you don't even have to do anything anymore. Those links will do the job.

I am interested in affiliate marketing because I know of many freelancers who are into it and they are earning. But they told me that it is better if I have a website of my own where I can do my regular promotion of products that I intend to endorse. Right now I cannot commit to that because a website has an overhead especially in the beginning that I have to pay for the domain and the hosting service.

I dabbled in it once but eventually found out that it wasn't for me. I was always jealous of the people who did find success in it though since it does seem like a great way to generate some passive income. I think the most important thing is to first find the best site and content that you'd like to sell so you could base your game plan on that type of product. I am thinking of getting back into it someday and hopefully follow through with it this time because I think now that I have a bit more patience and outside experience I could do much more with affiliate marketing.

I can't really reveal my niche. But I make use of the cbengine.com website. And they seem to be showing the updated and popular products on the clickbank. And I just use that for promoting them online. You can see that those products surely sell well in many ways. You just have to make sure those links are properly being placed.

I have been an authorized affiliate for years, for the following programs:
  • Amazon, ShareASale and Commission Junction.

Since Amazon changed to the native ads, I noticed that my account is reflecting earnings from commissions although I'm not a millionaire. (Yet.) Also, I am publishing pages at websites that were set up for affiliate marketers. If I get lucky, I get lucky! Are you still into affiliates? If so, what specific product/s are you promoting?

At one time, I earned from ShareASale but lately … nothing! My account is still open and I still share affiliate links wherever I can. I might get lucky! Are you still into affiliates? If so, what specific product/s are you promoting?

I have never earned from Commission Junction. But I won't close my account because they already have my tax info and I don't want to go through the process resubmitting if I close it and then decide to come back later. Too much rigamarole and a humbug!

I was signed up for Infolinks. I did earn a little from my Tumblr blogs. It was going well until those blogs got deleted by the Tumblr folks. Infolinks would not approve my new blogs and so I went elsewhere to see if I could earn money.

I was using IZEA (certain vendors like Target, etc. let you share their links via social media) then they stopped their program. No biggie to me as I never earned anything.

I am signed up for VigLink but it is hit or miss. My account shows pennies. Installed the code at my websites and blogs and forgot about it. If I earn, I earn. If I don't, I don't.

If I come across an affiliate program that lets me create a free account, I try whatever I can, hoping something works.

The Ad Blockers have not done any favors for any affiliate marketers.

That's it! That's my story.

I am not doing affiliates at this time because I didn't earn more as expected. I think I should offer SEO or marketing services which can more customers will be interested in these and it can make more money.

Yeah that's a good idea. Also, if you have a business that is related to an SEO and offering jobs to people, it's better to take care of those people sometimes since they are also helping you and your business to grow. I've heard some kinds of people can turn down a business by just a single post because of the management not behaving accordingly.

I'm not into affiliate marketing yet, but I know that products such as skin products, hair products and those products like the technology products sell higher if you can set out great contents that can convince intended buyers from patronizing your products and that is how to make it.

I think if you want to make alot of money on the internet you need to do affiliate marketing. All the other areas like writing, data entry and transcription are all getting crowded. Very soon they will be very little money to be made here. Most people are scared of affiliate marketing. Remember like writing it's a skill, you need to learn like any other. I think this is the future of marketing off and online.

I am also getting the same impression that writing is already crowded and my main line as being a forum content provider is not profitable anymore. With affiliate marketing, I know that it is more profitable. However, I admit that I don’t know much about affiliate marketing although I know that it can give you more money. Right now, I am gathering data to learn more about affiliate marketing.
