How to profit from people being lazy.

When it comes to making money, there are many different ways, but no one really talks about how you can profit from people being lazy.  Now this probably isn't what you're thinking of, you're not going to make money from lazy people doing work for you lol.  You're going to do the work for the lazy people because they don't want to.

How many times have you seen a small business's truck drive past your house, or even park in front of it, and it's for a lawn care service?  I see them every day because people would rather spend $40 to $75 every other week for someone to cut their grass than do it themselves.  I mean if you have a large riding mower it will literally take 10 minutes to do the entire yard!  You're basically making $40 to $75 for 10 minutes of work.  Now if you don't have the big riding mower, it will take much longer to do.  I mow my own yard and it takes me around 1 hour.  I've been looking for someone to do my yard, but every time I talk to someone, they never come back to give me a quote lol.  I don't know if it's because they forget or if it's because I have a big yard, but I do know there is a money making opportunity here and no one is taking my money lol.

Now I'm not only referring to a lawn service, you could also think of web design, SEO, social media marketing, etc.  There are a ton of digital services that people would rather outsource than do themselves.  I mean how difficult is it to do your own social media marketing?  All you have to do is consistently post on your social media accounts and optimize your posts for the search results, it's not hard.  The main reason people outsource the work is because they don't want to sit down for a few days and learn how to do it.  They would rather pay $750+ a month for someone to do the posts for them lol.  I can literally set up someones entire month of social media marketing using HootSuite and scheduled posts in less than 1 day.  Hmmmmm, maybe I should pitch social media marketing a little more lol How to profit from people being lazy.

Web design is another one that people are quick to outsource.  I think it's mainly because they are unaware of Shopify and WordPress.  With those 2 platforms you can literally set up any type of website you want in less than a week.  I have one client who is paying me $5,400 to set up a WordPress website with 80-85 different print services and all I have to do is purchase a nice looking theme that I can easily customize and sit down for a week to do the work.  They know exactly what I'm doing, but they want to dish out the cash because they aren't familiar with how everything works and they don't want to learn How to profit from people being lazy.

There are so many types of services like this that you can profit off of.  The few I listed above are just a sample of what you can do without much knowledge of how it all works, but you can profit because people are too lazy to do it themselves lol.

What other services can you profit from because people are too lazy to do something themselves?

Well,I don't think everyone is lazy to do some of these things but I think it could also be lack of time.Sometimes I outsource my articles not because I'm lazy but I will be busy offline with some stuff. But for lazy people I think the most outsource services are article writing and proof-reading of any material.

people can be very lazy with writing contents for their blogs and as such give them out,a good writer can take advantage of this and proof-reading is even more outstanding people hate to re-read or edit their work even if they should have all the time.So this can also be taken advantage of by smart freelancers.

In my experience with earning extra money, writing a procedures manual for a bank manager is easy money. I used to be a methods analyst with writing procedures manual as my main function. One manager of another bank was impressed with my output so he contracted me to do part time work for him. Instead of writing the manual, he hired me to do it. I was new in my job at the time so I felt honored. In online work, I had co-written a blog and earned money from that. It's enjoyable as long as I have the time. But sometimes I have to decline offers of work because of my hectic work schedule in the office.

About three years back I was doing some data entry works for someone. He had a small printing business and since he was spending too much time on those data entry works he requested me to help him. In this case he was not really lazy but he was busy instead with other matters relating to his business. However, after some time I had to stop working with him as I got busy with my studies and I got a better job.

If there is demand for the service then there will always be supply. And that's the greatest thing because people being lazy allows a lot of people to benefit from it and make money from it. In terms of the web design aspect, I just think that it's not being exactly lazy but they just don't want to waste time learning the different techniques and aspects of website design. I do believe that paying a price like $5,400 to just setup a Wordpress site where you don't have to do much is a bit excessive though. That's a lot of money for an extremely easy job.

I think this post hits home for a lot of business models. I can't remember the name of the app off the top of my head, but basically it allows people to have fast food or dinners from restaurants delivered to their home. People who are willing to drive the food to the purchaser's house sign up for the app as drivers and take the jobs as the come through, which allows people to have food delivered from places that don't offer delivery services.

I think that's a prime example of not only the app developers taking advantage of people being lazy, but also the people who are willing to drive the food for some extra cash. Of course, I hate to use the word "lazy" in this topic as if it's a blanket term or something. A lot of the people who use apps or services like this or lawn mowing probably just don't have the time to do those tasks. Or they work long, hard days at work and just want to be able to enjoy the comfort of their own home without have worry about taking care of those things.

This article make me remember the first job I ever did because people were to lazy to do it: Someother kids homework! lol I used to charge them to do their homework because they were too lazy to do it. Maybe it's not social media marketing but that was the first job I ever got and just because the other kids were too lazy to do their own homework... I guess right now we are still that smart kid gettig money from the lazy others...

I considered a similar business model when I was in high school, actually. Throughout high school and college I actually sort of enjoyed writing research papers, especially if they were on literature or literary themes for an english or lit class. At one point I considered spreading word that I would write people's essays for them for a price, but I never actually did that. I was worried that the teacher would recognize my writing, or at least recognize that it wasn't the student's writing when the paper was turned in, and I wasn't about to get in trouble for a couple measly bucks.

I am not sure if this is called laziness, but I think some people would prefer to spend time elsewhere than doing these work. There are many cleaning services here, as some people do not like to clean their home and they would prefer to pay others to clean the house for them. Catering service is another common one. I guess sometimes this is how opportunities are created too.

I recently came across some blogs about virtual assistant. I think it's quite interesting to learn something and get some jobs while others outsource these.

I never got any customer so far in my life paying me above 100$ for the code and web design service. I guess I have to price my services higher. So this way I can make some decent earning in due process. I think people who want to get things done pay better. And that seems to be process for them to make things a bit better. You can't really understand how profit generation may work out in this due process. I guess people need to find work where they get paid higher. Because otherwise it'd be in rut of working on low cost.

Well, cool tips, but what works for you won't actually work for every body, i know people who offer those things you listed, above and they are not making it big, or should they hardly earn.
It depends on what, you feel works you, and the things, that gives you joy to do, so even if you don't get clients though, it won't still be much of a skin pain. It actually depends on how you market yourself, and how luck brings clients to you.

I wouldn't say it's earning money from laziness. But rather these days people live busy lives and are overwhelmed and look for people to help out. 90%+ of all the people I know at least work overtime and or two jobs. Because the cost of living is just insane. And to answer your question is yes I have earned money from overwhelmed people in the past and there is great opportunity to earn extra money from overwhelmed people. But I sure wouldn't call them lazy.

Data entry would be somewhere at the top of the list and I would include anything from Transcribing to writing articles. The demand for data entry has increased exponentially and as such necessity overrides the laziness in this case. Data has to be accurate and timely and exist in so many forms and variety so much that the big data phenomenon has caused quite a stir within the job market.

Outsourcing is prevalent in Asian countries where the money has lower value. Many company/individual contractor from US, Europe and other rich countries hires people from Asian freelancers to work for the project the got from their country because they will save a lot of money rather than doing it by themselves or let the work be done in their country. In the Philippines for example, the equivalent of US$3.00 is Php 50.00. A project for developing a website in US for example could cost $3000. But if it will be outsourced in the Philippines, it might only cost $600. That's why contractors from rich countries get projects from their country and look for a Freelancer from countries that has lower money value. They earn big income without doing it by themselves.

When people are lazy, it is always a good idea to provide services for them and make money from doing so. I've got the confidence that it is easier to do that instead of having to push them to get better at what they do.

You remind me of a classmate in high school who was very lazy to do the homework. What she does is to pay her classmates to do the homework for her. When there are 3 subjects with homework, she would contract 3 classmates for the work. She is the daughter of a wealthy couple and money is not an object that she says you can be paid good money if you do the job right.
