    How do you accept payments?

    When you own an e-commerce site, the way you accept payments is extremely important. What payment processors do you accept or do you accept straight transactions via banks? Or maybe you accept cash on delivery if your products are large and you self-deliver them? If you use a payment processor such as PayPal then you are much less likely to be cheated because both the buyer and seller have protection that is provided by PayPal. Whereas if you accept cash on hand you may encounter problems. How do you accept payments? And have you ever had problems?

    I love making use of bitcoins as my payment method, I really see it as a very fast and reliable way to make transactions work out very well.

    I don't have an e-commerce website or anything like that but I feel like payment options are very important as a customer. I really love it when companies offer more than just one option.

    My preferred option to use or to receive money by is definitely PayPal since it makes me feel secure. I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card information to unknown sites.

    I am no currently selling anything online so I don' concern myself with payment, but I like websites that offer a variety of payment methods and also offer something like everify so you know that the site is honest and that the way you pay is somewhat secure and protected.

    I prefer payoneer payment processor, I think it way simple and easy to managed and operate. It more secured too but other than this,I will go with PayPal it another secured payment processor.

    I sell services online as a freelancer and then I have another online business of selling digital products, As a freelancer I get paid on my Prepaid Card, while for the products I sell online I linked my account with my paypal account and that's automatic I get paid with paypal and I only get to check to see who commanded and who paid ... I also use my payoneer sometimes to get paid or to buy services on some sites which accepts only payoneer plus I own a Skrill account and a coinbase account where I get paid with Bitcoins and sometes I buh or sell bitcoins as well. In short I use different payment methods it depends on the site.

    I have installed Paypal and Payoneer processor on my site.I think paypal is safe and secured and it quite easy to operate,since some countries are excluded from Paypal service, I then decided to also use Payoneer.well, Bitcoin processor would be the next one on my site.

    I do like PayPal as an option, especially when I'm busy and can't meet with a client for a payment. It generally makes things really convenient. The only downside on my end is that PayPal takes a small percentage of the money sent to me over their website. It's not a huge deal, when dealing with large sums of money like I do for wedding video, that amount can be around $30 that PayPal keeps from the transaction.

    If you have PayPal embedded on your website for transaction purposes, I assume that's still the case, right? Or do you make the full amount of every sale through them that way?

    I accept payments usually through third party for most of the freelance work. For example paypal and payoneer are my choices. I am leaning more towards the payoneer. The reason being most sites need to be using it for better transaction rates and the currency conversion. Surely this way you can diversify. There are people who do payout through other means like bank payout and cards. But I prefer payoneer and paypal and some of the time even the bitcoin.

    I've never heard of Payoneer before, but I might take a look into their services. I use PayPal like most people currently to enact all of my online transactions. What are the benefits of using Payoneer to Paypal in your opinion? Is it more secure, is the interface more user friendly, etc?

    And do they keep a percentage of all transactions that go through their platform as well?

    Payoneer has better transaction rates than paypal. Also the currency conversion rate is better. And the bank transfer option from the paypal is also lot better. It has minimum incoming payment requirement of 20$ though. They charge flat fee for all transactions. It's user friendly too. Most of the online sites for freelancers are switching to the payoneer. I made switch from paypal to payoneer in many sites.

    I am primarily using pay Pal so far. Also, the publishing company who distributes my eBooks and hard copy takes direct payment and then pays me out, but they get their cut, so I make less money there. I am currently looking into the bitcoin option, of course, but I have not yet set that up at my sites as of today. I figure the more options I give people to pay, the better--also, Pay Pal is not available to everyone outside of the states where I live.

    I don't own an ecommece site, but I deal with clients paying me for my services all the time. I always get a deposit for my services to save the date they want me, and I receive the remaining amount the day of the event. I prefer cash or check, and I'm planning on setting up a Square account soon I can start taking cards as well.

    In a pinch I'll use PayPal to receive payments, but I like to avoid it if at all possible because they take a percentage of what is sent to me via their platform.

    I mostly accept payment through PayPal as this is faster, convenient and safer. I never really had any problems with PayPal. However, if I am selling some products to my regular customers who I can trust then at times I accept cash payments.

    For me it mostly depends on what you are selling whether it is a product or a service. But if you are just starting out, it's better if you accept payments first rather than cash on deliveries (if you sell products). If ever I have my own e-commerce business, I would probably go for PayPal and bank account transfers. They are the most common and reliable ones for me.

    Exactly. Never ship or send product without the payment up front. That's just smart and good business. Bank account transfers are fine, as long as you are using a secure mechanism, but Pay Pal is my most dependable outlout for commerce and money transfers.

    I use paypal for all my transaction and payment gateway in my website and clients own. if am not doing stuffs that require immediate payment, in which there is an emergency for the money, i do take bitcoins.
    And also during my black hat activities, i take bitcoins as payment to prevent my identity. so if i want to stay anonymous i use bitcoins as payments.

    For products that are not age-sensitive, I would probably prefer using PayPal because it's, reliable, easy, and anyone can use it without having to nag their parents to buy something with their credit card. For other things, I would probably say by credit card though Bitcoin is going through the roof and I can make a profit simply by owning Bitcoin so that would probably be my second offer. Even though Bitcoin may be harder for people to acquire since most of the time a lot of verification is needed to buy/sell Bitcoins.

    My preference in receiving payments is through Paypal as it is very handy. I can easily use the money on my Paypal account to make purchases online without having to withdraw them. The downside though is that not all stores here accept Paypal as a payment method, so I will have to withdraw the money after being transferred to my bank account.

    Another downside of PayPal they take a lot of remittance fee whenever you transfer your PayPal funds to your bank account. It also probably depends on the bank but still, the fee is surely noticeable. And also, it takes 4 - 8 days of processing before your money reflects on your bank account. So if you need the money for personal use then you'd have to transfer it ahead of time.

    As many of other people said before me I like paypal since it is safe and you don't need to have an actual bank account in the US, Canada or UK to receive the payments. The bad thing is the commission it charge you to do the transaction. Also I take cash or bitcoin if I think the market is good for it...

    On an e-commerce store it will be better if I use bank swift transaction. Every time I will get notification from my bank that I had received one more order or payment- than I shall go for the shipment of the products.

    My favorite will be Bank Payment system where you can pay from any platform to my bank by 2co payment processor or by any other payment processor.

    Currently I am all about PayPal. It is the payment method that I started with when I began earning money on the internet, and after much trial and error with other formats, I've come to the conclusion that it is most likely the method I'm going to finish with as well. It is not only the safest method of sending and receiving payments, but it is also the fastest and easiest. It is no wonder that it is one of the most popular methods considering how convenient it is. Sure there are the fees but you're going to have fees with any service really. It's the nature of these businesses, but as long as they serve me well like PayPal, that's no big deal.

    PayPal is the best way because protect your money and the money of the customer there is not lost. Besides I prefer when people transfer me then I send the product, it is for your safety. I don't know if you have heard about Mercado Pago it is most like PayPal
    When someone bought a product from my e-commerce it has the option to pay with Mercado Pago after they approve the money they transfer to me and there is when I send The product. Mercado Pago protects your Money in case something happens.

    I always used PayPal toreceive my payments and I do it for several years now and for me it is the
    safest .It is easy to use you can contact their stuff easily if you encounter
    some problems. You can easily transfer money PayPal to your local ATM or debit
    card so fast. I also use PayPal when I want to buy online merchants.

    I accept payment via PayPal but sometimes credit card is also a way to have money from my customers.
    I didn't find out any other reasons I should use other payment gateway out of Paypal. Althought its transfer fee is pretty high but their service is good and trusted.

    I would recommend PayPal or something similar for a small business wanting an e-commerce website The reason for this is consumer confidence. The way I explain it is that you are not Amazon and a buyer does not know you from a hill of beans. When you use PayPal, they buyer receives certain guarantees that they would not otherwise receive. You may have the best price and shipping rates, but if the customer is in anyway skeptical about your business, they will buy from someone else.

    This is also the same reason that I recommend becoming an Amazon merchant. It is one way to build a reputation and for customers to get to know you. If you have a good rating on Amazon, you can add that information with a link to your website. If you also have a brick-and-mortar storefront, add your Yelp rating.

    Paypal is the only remittance center that I have and I am glad that I have been using it for years and there is no issue whatsoever. The advantage with Paypal is that there is no fee when you send money to a relative or friend unlike when you are engaged in business that there is a service fee that is charged. In withdrawing the money from Paypal into the bank account, there is also no fee that is charged. It’s like using Paypal for free.
