Is there a free Chatbot plugin for WordPress?

I've come across the word Chatbot a lot often in Web development forums quite recently but haven't tried out a lot of these programs. Siri of iOS could be considered as a Chatbot right? So is Simsimi, a free app for Android devices. I've also come across some funny Chatbots in certain websites and I found them to be amusing.

I also want to make one of my websites more interesting and more interactive by adding a Chatbot. My website is built using WordPress. Do you know of some free but functional Chatbot plugins? I'd like to see its effect on my visitors if a Chatbot is added. Your comments and suggestions would be of great help to me.

I do know there is a free website called rebot.me this allows you to create a chat bot. You have to spend time on it to configure the bot to your needs. Such as input messages you want to talk to the user about. Also, you can come back later to see if anyone as spoke to your bot. It will have words list which you can create replies to so in the future when someone asks those questions they will get an answer for. For example say you create a money bot, A member asks it a question like where can I make money online free. This will show up on your list of words, you can create a reply or even mention your website so next time someone asks this question they will get an answer quick.

All right! This is what I was looking for. Haha! Thank you so much. I just browsed the site and saw a lot of different Chatbots made by different users. There are even those that are for above 18 lol.

What's exciting is that I can also make my own Chatbot. I wonder if the service is completely free of charge. I hope it is.

I'll try this out later after I come home from work. I'm excited!

There are a few free options when it comes to WordPress plugins but I don't know how effective or good they are because I have never used one before. Just make sure that before you fully add it to the website that you test it out and see if it's overly annoying - that might be a turn off for the visitors.

My favorite plugin is tawk.to. They have this chat plugin more for the tech support and the live chat support system. You may find that it has some of the premium support features. You can use the tawk.to for the chat posting and the tech support. Apart from that I'd just connect discord and the slack in such case. Those are lot better chatrooms than the wordpress plugins which can be a bit headache on database side.

Thank you for this recommendation. I haven't heard of tawk.to until now. I've browsed their site and I'm pretty impressed with the free chat software that they offer. It looks pretty legit. And you can easily chat with your website visitors even if you're using a smartphone. I do hope that the chat box would look good on both desktop and mobile.

However......

It's not a Chatbot software though..

But it's great nonetheless.

Glad you liked it. I have managed to use this for most of my services. I get to contact my customers through this. I am thinking about setting up this option for differentiating on my services. This way client can always contact me. And this means I can benefit. It works not only on WordPress but also on other places as well like HTML page etc.
