Adobe premier pro is a really good choice. I don't do a lot of video editing, but when I do I use that. You can really create anything.

I have heard of so many good reviews on the Adobe Premiere pro version but unfortunately it wouldn’t install on our desktop. It requires a 64-bit processor and our antiquated desktop has a processor of 32-bits only and it is foolish to upgrade a 10-year old computer. We are currently using the version 6.5 that couldn’t handle HD format of videos and I guess we have to buy a new computer for the pro version.

I think that which video editing software is the best depends on what sort of videos are you making. Are they just simple, basic videos that you share with your family and friends? Or are you making more professional, sophisticated ones that you're trying to use for promotional purposes?

My preferred choices when it comes to the software are:
- Adobe Premiere Pro; my favorite choice because it's hands down, the best video editing software I have ever used. It has anything you want and you can create whatever you wish.
- Corel VideoStudio,
- Vegas Movie Studio; really good if you're just starting and you're a beginner.

Those video editing softwares you mentioned are very powerful and they can almost edit almost any video of whatever sorts. I have a friend who uses Premiere Pro and he is really good at it. He can compile all his game replays and cut the important parts with effects, zooms, sound effects, transitions and others!

I don't really deal on video editing but I can recommend Windows movie maker.Its very easy to use,just by pulling and puting.
It contains mind blowing features like video transition,adding tittles,audio tracks,timeline narration and lots more.Used it for a project and it served me well.

I don't think anyone still uses Windows Movie Maker nowadays sir. I mean, no offense but it is kind of outdated. There are a lot of free video editing softwares that are so simple to use. The one that I mentioned on my post is a newbie-friendly editor. ^_^

I'm a huge proponent of the Adobe Creative Suite. I have experience using various editing software from basic Windows Movie Make to Final Cut Pro, and I've found I like Adobe Premiere the best, hands down. If you pay for a Creative Cloud subscription, you can direct link from Premiere to Audition (for audio tweaking), to SpeedGrade (for color grading), or to After Effects (for additional editing and effects). Because of this, I think integration of Premiere with other Adobe products make it incredibly powerful. I use it on a near daily basis for video editing, and I have yet to be disappointed by it!

I wanna ask about the performance of Premier Pro software when it comes to rendering: Do you need to have a high speed machine or it does well with lower to medium specced computers? Some video editing softwares rely on processors while others rely on the graphics installed and how fast it operates, some others, will a little bit of both - specially if you have high memory modules. Is that the case with Adobe Premiere Pro based on your observations?

Adobe relies predominantly on the processor to render, not the graphics card. You can still render video on a lower-end machine, but they'll probably perform better on lower quality videos. If your computer can't handle editing 1080p or 4k footage, it probably won't be able to export it either.

In all honesty, without knowing the specs of your computer what you're trying to output, there's not a way to definitively tell you yes or no in this case. Your best bet would be to compare the system requirements for Premiere on Adobe's website to what you have just to be safe.

Yes I agree. Most video editing softwares now are cpu intensive but there are some who uses gpu for rendering. Thus, quadro cards are invented just for that purpose. So all in all, it would base on your processor and motherboard since those two are responsible for your resolution capacity support.

Yes, there are sites who give you minimum requirements per software. There are even some who would scan your computer and would tell you if you can run it or not.

I typically use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, and Handbrake to encode. It takes a long time to do it this way, but I have to, because Premiere doesn't support my desired encoding settings.

I have not uploaded my own personal content. However, I have picked up Premiere Pro editing skills back when I was a college student. I find Premiere Pro a pretty powerful skill. Adobe After Effects can create some pretty cool visual effects in order to bring your video to the next level in terms of quality.

We are not hi-tech at home because our desktop is an old one which is running on Windows XP. The only compatible video editing software is Adobe Premiere version 6.5. That's why we cannot edit HD videos because that Adobe is good only for SD, that old format of 480x640 pixels (although I know it can be stretched to 480x720). And since we are in the process of buying a new computer, a newer version of Adobe Premiere is in the list of software that we require. We are hoping that there is not much difference in the opration of the newer version so we will not experience technical problems when we edit HD videos.

I mostly record on desktop. So camtasia is my personal choice. I have used the Vegas video. But the effect and stuff is not much perfect with it. I have yet to find the general purpose editor which can add more filters. I am trying to find out video editors with good effects and the price. So far not much that I have found for the videos.

Camtasia is what? Like a webcam software hence the word cam? I haven't heard of that and I am quite shock you said that Sony Vegas video editor is not perfect. Could you elaborate please? What's with Sony Vegas editor that you don't like? I'm curious.

I mostly alternate between two programs when it comes to video editing, and they are Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere.

Adobe After Effects is a very deep program that I wouldn't exactly recommend to someone that is looking to just cut some clips together. Imagine taking the complexity of a program like Photoshop and turning it into video editing software. It is fantastic for those looking to create their own animations, do color correction, add special effects, and more. However, if you're just looking to cut and organize footage, it has far more than you need and you'll be in over your head.

Adobe Premiere on the other hand is a far simpler program to use and I mostly use it to stitch together footage after I've already done the complex animations and such within After Effects. While it has many features that you won't find in simpler programs such as Windows Movie Maker, using it isn't rocket science and anyone can pick it up quite quickly.

Both of them are premium level of the video editing software. You can see that they cost a lot. And one has to find out what fits their budget. I personally think that video editing software which are cheap from wundershare can be one option. I have found their software low cost than the Adobe's. So that's what I have in mind for suggesting.

Hi, Galeg I have used the Proshow producer and I think this is the best. I have used Adobe Premiere Pro because it has a good-looking, flexible interface, and it has some very helpful tools like Roles, Auditions, and Clip Connections.

I do use 2 video manager software. basically I enjoy very much with Google picasa. But for more professional matter- camtasia is fine. You can also try these two.

I enjoy using adobe premiere because it's really user friendly, but I also like to use final cut, and I think I-movie is one of the best FREE video editing program out, but the best video editing software depends on your needs and what your trying to accomplish with this software.

For a while now, I have been using Sony Vegas Pro. I learned the basics right away by just experimenting and familiarizing myself with the interface of the editing program. I had experience with using Adobe After Effects and I could say that it is much more complicated to work with compared to SVP. There are a lot of tutorial videos in Youtube, whether it is about simple editing or advanced features of either editing software.

I actually had this software before. How long did it take you to familiarize the basics and did some sample editing? I tried using this quite a while now probably 5 years ago. I forgot why I stopped using though. But I think it was because I did not learn a lot or I was lazy during that time.

Vegas Movie Studio is also an excellent choice. Although I currently use Adobe Premiere, I've already used Vegas Movie Studio and consider it one of the best software for editing videos.

For me, Sony Vegas Pro has satisfied all my video editing needs. I first bought the program and started using it in 2014. Since then, I've made countless montages, commercials, and other edits using Sony Vegas. The only other program I use besides it is Audacity to fix audio issues. Combined, they work well hand in hand. I've heard of Adobe Premiere and know friends who use others like it regularly. But it's never tempted me to try another platform though.

I have this one also before I think it was on 2014. I forgot my keys and license already and the email used. It was a gift from my classmate. I haven't really used it that much because it seemed complicated when I first tried it. Now I kind of regret losing it because it is one of the best video editing softwares out there.

For now, I am practicing adobe premiere and what can I say about this software is that its more easier to edit than after effects although I will also want to try and learn from this one but the last time I tried to edit a video, I got confused with tools so I can't really edit that time but when I tried premiere I was able to edit my video vlog although I will still have to explore more things in Adobe Premiere.

I often communicate with clients via webcam, but recently it stopped working. I found out that webcams often don't work properly on Windows 10. For example, when you try to use the webcam on your computer, you might get an error message that says something like "Your camera cannot be found."
