How do you feel about traffic conversions?

I know that you can buy traffic from multiple sites. However I have always been skeptical of it, because I don't only want traffic to my site. I want conversions, I want people to buy things. I'm not quite sure that buying traffic is a great way to make that happen. I think that most sites just send people to your site, whether they're interested in what you sell or not. Am I the only one who feels this way? What do you think?

Strictly I do not know these sites where it is possible to buy traffic. Do you refer to examples like Google Adwords?

For me, if it's to spend money on traffic, I'd rather opt for really efficient options. Google Adwords and Facebook Ads are good examples that I have used and obtained positive results.

I'm surprised that you haven't seen any sites where you can buy traffic. Fiverr is the biggest example that I can come up with. For five dollars, you can buy traffic for your website. I've always been hesitant to try Facebook Ads and never thought of using Google Adwords. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have read lots of discussions not only in this forum that Facebook Ads is one of the most effective because it is a PPC which means you only pay when the user clicks on the ad. The budget is affordable because it starts at $10 per day which makes Facebook Ads attractive to small site owners especially if you have not big budget for your promotion. I think Google Adwords is also popular but I don’t have much of the details.

I have my very own doubts about it. So you pay people to visit your site and maybe they'll buy something? Like you pay to get paid? Im still green around here so i'd like to listen to other's inputs as well.

No, it isn't paying to get paid. It's paying to get site views. You pay someone to send a certain amount of traffic to your website. They don't promise you anything except for traffic, which could be 100 views or 1000 views.

Buying traffic is only to have traffic numbers and stats!. If you looking for conversions, then invest in marketing, promotions, SEO and SERP services, so you will get much better results and conversions. Don't invest in cheapest services and expect good results, search for freelancers with proven results, read their recommendations and service reviews, search for social media influencers etc etc...

When I first started my business, I wasn't knowledgeable about marketing. I didn't realize that traffic would raise stats. I thought that it would be a good way to find customers. At least I thought that until I realized that the traffic I was receiving wasn't from a targeted group aimed at my services.

As long as my products or service may get sold. You can see that as long as one can do that it'd be fair. If you can't sell or buy stuff then things can go harder on that part. I personally have found that traffic is not that easy. You just have to find sources where you can sell stuff. I have found that facebook traffic to such extent does work for sure.

Yea, Facebook traffic is more targeted at the group of people you want for services. I think that when using Facebook for traffic, you're more likely to receive conversions. Which is something I wish I knew in the past when I was beginning my business.

I think PPC ad networks work if you have a good knowledge of SEO and keywords for your niche. Google Adwords and Bing ads are the perfect platforms to drive traffic for your niche and also convert it into the lead. You can even use Facebook advertising too, and it's cheap also if you know how to target your audiences for your particular niche.

I think that maybe choosing the audience target may be the hardest part. I have always been hesitant to use Facebook ads, simply because I've never been sure what to set my audience and things such as that too. I never have thought of using Google Adwords or Bing Ads before, but it may be what I need.

I am new to this business but I think it's not just the traffic who's important. You still need to have a good topic on your forum to generate a good conversation. People will stay loyal to the forum if there will be topics available that they may find interesting. It doesn't need to be a good topic. Sometimes simple topics like" how are you today" can get response to hundreds of people.

You need to remember this: paid traffic never converts. The paid traffic is just a number that has nothing to do with your content. These visitors are there just because someone paid then to visit the website. Based on the pay rate, they will remain on that site, when they are there they never check out content.

I realize now that paid traffic doesn't convert. I didn't know in the beginning that traffic is purely for stats and I shouldn't expect any type of conversions. Now though, I realize it is not the way to go if I want conversions.

Paid traffic from Traffic Exchange or PTC sites does not work. However, if you use PPC campaign on social media or search engines, your paid traffic will work. For example, if you create a campaign on adwords and give 1 cents per click, you can drive traffic to your website.

Everybody wants to stay relevant and reputable, I think people buy traffic to assure others that they can trust and believe they give good services.

I don't think that people buy traffic so that others will trust them. I think that people more or less buy traffic to move their page up in the ranks. To gain more exposure.

If you think of business and sales, then traffic conversion with be top on your list. After putting so much work to create a good website, if you don't get traffic and conversion then all you efforts are for nothing. I frown at buying cheap traffic that just sent visitors and stats to your website. But if you really want to pay for traffic, then it should be a well targeted promotion like Google Adword or Facebook Ads.

Hi there,
Thanks for your nice query. I completely agree with you. Conversation is the great way for getting target for your business. This also show that real activity of traffic if the discuss about your product. So, how can you find them, you can find them if you promote your site right way. One of the best way by SEO. if you do good SEO for your site, you will get good amount of real traffic each day. But, for that you need to take plan and need time. More over, you can get traffic by promote your site or product on social media by paid adverting. Or body ad.
On the other hand, many of the site owner do not know how to generate traffic right way. That is why they try to get some quick solution. And they purchase traffic from somewhere. But they do not show activity. This is reality that they will not do any conversation, because most of the time they generate by bot or traffic exchange. Though, this type of traffic has other value by different sense.

* So what I've gathered from these various comments is that buying traffic is a waste of money if you expect customers to be sent to your site. What you want is to spend money for is "leads". Does anybody know how to go about finding "leads", i.e. people who might buy your products or services if directed to your site?

I am thinking of the traditional offline business of advertising that creates sales. With the online business, traffic does not necessarily mean business prospects because most of the searchers are just searching for something that is not specific. And when you buy traffic, I don’t think it is worth the expense since how can you get business from bought traffic? Even if the bought traffic is not bots, I don’t think you can get substantial number of sales from them.
