Is there a demand for Social Media Managers?

In recent months I have heard that being a social media manager for mall business is a lucrative career opportunity, especially when you are proficient in SEO optimization for websites.
I would like to hear some opinions on this possible career choice.

I'd definitely say there's is a large demand. An increasingly large demand. Just look at the social media and how fast it's growth has been in the last century. It's crazy but it's the way of the future 100%.

Rise of social media = rise of job positions in this area

More and more people will want a Social Media Manager. If you're good at everything that it's required for such position then I'd recommend you go for it. Could be very profitable.

Absolutely! As brick and mortar businesses realize the importance of staying engaged with their customers, Social Media Managers are needed to plan and schedule posts and other functionalities for their social media.

You can go to Upwork and Guru and find many positions available. You can go to your conventional job seeker sights like Indeed and find similar jobs. I think if this is something you enjoy, apply for it. Many will allow you to work remotely. Which means you can stay home and get paid.

I think there is a lot of demand of the people who can promote brands. I have found that there is a demand for people who can promote the products on social media. And for this reason there are people who can promote the page, product etc on the site and off it. So it all comes down to how people manage the goals. So there is definitely the job to be done there.

Yes, there is, especially now that social media is getting bigger and bigger. There were a couple I've come across, but unfortunately, I didn't get accepted, probably because I've sent a proposal quite late. I'd love to be one someday though, they seem to pay decently and I can definitely handle social media management lmao.

Social media is in a state of constant change. Whether it's the platforms or the culture, it is definitely important that a social media manager stay on top of their area as best as possible. A lot their skills will come form simply spending time on the sites, which I'm sure they do every day since it's most likely their livelihood.

I think it's fascinating how fast things change online and quickly our messages can spread across the internet. I've also been wondering to myself recently what the next big movement in social media will be. We had the introduction of Snapchat several years ago, and I can't imagine what unique idea will be next on the drawing board.

yes! I've seen this more in facebook and instagram. I'm not a fan of twitter so I wouldn't know in this site.

That can be really profitable and it's on high demand these days. Especially since the pages need to keep traffic flowing and it's such a great business to sell products or services online...

Cross platform marketing is becoming a huge topic in my workplace. We're working to cross promote each of our facets of social media so we can have as many followers as possible on each platform. As with anything social media related, you're trying to reach the largest number of people possible for the smallest amount of effort possible.

I don't know how we would manage this if we didn't have a team of students who dedicate their time solely to managing our Twitter account. We have three or four of us who monitor Facebook, and another two who spend some time on Instagram and Snapchat, trying to keep content flowing and in our audience's field of view.

Social media definitely not a small venture by any means!

As long as social media keeps expanding and as long as it's a staple in the average person's online diet, I think there's always going to be a need for social media managers. New facets of social media are always springing up, and as people start flocking to them, it may become a little too overwhelming for someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Anymore, it's very important to have someone who specializes in that area and dedicates their time to maintaining each social media outlet.

There is actually a demand for social media managers and I feel that the trend will continue considering that more businesses are tapping social media for their marketing campaigns. I notice, for example, that it has become quite common for mobile phone companies to have someone reply to inquires made through their social media page. People are encouraged to post and explore the Facebook account when a company representative is on hand to respond to their concerns.

Some big companies are always in the lookout for a social media manager that is quite experienced when it comes to the work of making some posts as well as replying questions made by their online clients. So, finding out about that is a good way to go about it.

This may be similar to the so called admin of a Facebook Page of celebrities. Admittedly, those social media posts were not really made by the celebrities themselves. It is their admin who does that. But the public is fooled because most people think that it is the celebrity who was responding to their comments. That admin is clearly a social media manager for he handles the social media account of the celebrity. Maybe an admin can handle more than 1 account and can make it his career.
