These are some awesome tips. Some of these I do use but I also have my own methods for helping myself stay relaxed when I am writing articles.

Playing music is one that I like to do. I find that music helps me to stay motivated and puts me in a good mood. I have also found that by listening to music I can get some good idea's as well which all help me to write some really good articles.

Another I always stick to is plenty to drink. Nobody can focus when they are dehydrated and being dehydrated can cause problems such as headaches. No one can focus on anything with a headache making writing articles almost impossible.

I have a laptop myself and I am forever moving from one place to another when I write articles as I feel a change in scenery helps you to stay focused.

Thanks for sharing your tips!

Yes and yes. I try to take turns while writing or working. So, I give myself some time out after a whole hour or 90 minutes working, is not like I'm going to take an hour resting, but just some minutes, about 10 minutes is more than enough. That's the moment when I use the bathroom, have a snack, check my cellphone, anything that doesn't take me more than 10-15 minutes, and then I go straight back to writing.

I am a professional writer. I write offline as well as online. I can continuously work for three hours on my computer. After that I get bored and tired. In order to recharge myself, I leave my working desk, stretch my body make myself a cup of coffee and then go back to work. I don't like noise, therefore, I don't tune to music while working. When I get bored while writing, I stop writing and check facebook and emails, even do some search on google. This will normally relax me.

I often focus on the music. And that way I can write and continuously focus on things that needs to be get done. It takes time for those things to be done. But I think if we are focused on writing part, it'd not be hard. You should listen to music and that also helps to some extent there.

These are some good tips! While relaxing, I think we can write better articles too. As a programmer, I am working on computer all day long. There was once my eyes were quite painful, and the doctor advised me to take a break at least every hour, otherwise I might not be able to work as a programmer (on computer) anymore. I am glad I took his advice, and after some time, my eyes were okay. So I think it's good to just walk around every hour, not only let our body relax and also let our eyes rest too. Perhaps a simple exercise is good too.

I find having some soothing background music and a "ready for anything" work environment. a Beverage close by, a comfortable seat, a snack and no distractions. Having everything you need close by will keep you from getting detracted and thereby keep you relaxed and ready to deliver your utmost best work.

The atmosphere is so important when your writing. For me I need some good instrumentals going, I don't want words and ideas entering my brain as I push ideas onto the page. Having a beverage and snacks nearby helps. If you're trying to stay up for a while get a nice coffee or energy drink, pair them with water to keep you from being jumpy. I also find planning ahead helps with making the process flow smoother. I hope that helps some.

Its is important to stay calm while we work , only then will the work will be effective, so there are many things we can to to stay calm efficient, First thing is selecting the place of work, usually a quite and tidy place is most suitable for work especially when creating something. Secondly drink lots of water and keep your self hydrated, this will help to increase your concentration and also has many other indirect benefits, keep taking breaks , its not recommended to work continuously with any breaks, it only stresses us out so take breaks refresh yourself and walk around for a while. This will definitely increase your efficiency and help you succeed.

When writing articles, I try find a place away from distractions, somewhere where my kids wont bother me. And ease my mind of any worries and troubles and think positive thoughts.

I try to keep my mind relaxed by thinking about nothing. Spending some ME time all alone helps me to gather the strength and state of mind that is needed to pen downy thoughts.

The environment and the ambience you work in reflects in your writing. Yes it is important to change your seating positions from time to time, but it is also important to make your mind feel relaxed and comfortable with the working situation. I personally like to write alone while burning some essential oils or incense or flavoured candles. When you find yourself having trouble writing, just get up and walk for a while, do something else that will distract your thoughts like play a game or eat or listen to music for a while and then get back to writing.

If I'm trying to write something that really takes a lot of my focus, then I suppose I just grab a few snacks and start working. I do it because I feel like it helps me fidget, whenever I drink a cold latte I feel refreshed and ready to work, so I guess that helps a bit. As long as you find a way to fidget, find something that stimulates your focus.

Hi Jahan. have a nice day!
You are right, position is very important since we risk to have problems with the spine, so moving from time to time, or even to make sit ups would be a good choice. When writing articles, is better to find a quiet room with a good light, and with a pleasant ambience, that will make us to relax and the ideas for writing will come faster!

halloo, I do all that but first of all I take a deep breath and tell myself hey you can do it Clara just start, then I start writing, and when changing positions sometime I just need to add pillows on my back to get more comfortable, and when I feel like tired of sitting then I type while standing up.

Those a good tips, writing all day can get a little boring. I like to listen to music, it helps me, as long as it's not too loud of course. When taking a break, having a nice tea can help. It is important to keep the mind clear and not stress too much.

I relax by ensuring I have a soft pillow for my lower back (I can sit four to six hours at a stretch). I also ensure I have my earphones on and playlist running (Hans Zimmer classical scores). I get distracted by loud sounds, erratic movement and noise and extreme sunlight, so I ensure my work-space is free from these before I settle down.

When I am writing an article, I usually write an outline first, these are the points of details that I want to write about. And when I am writing the outline, my favorite position is slouching on the sofa or lying on the bed. But when I write the actual article, the computer table is my companion. Before writing, I make sure that I am not hungry and I don't have the urge to go to the bathroom. Another consideration is the environment, I want a quiet place to write. I have the advantage when I'm at home because I am the boss (LOL).

My way though is working while listening to music, it kinda helps me to relax and work better overall. Also, I take short breaks in between long sessions of work. Sometimes you get stuck where you can't think straight where the only thing you need to do is to take a short break by going outside then you'll see when you come back to working again that the break cleared your mind! I do this regularly and it always works. My breaks though are by playing games on my phone or sometimes having something to eat like a light snack. We could have different things to do on our breaks as long as it gets your mind off of your work.

There are a few ways I keep myself relaxed and loose while doing online work. The first is that I typically play either relaxing white noise such as ocean waves, falling rain, river water or relaxing music. The white noise is good for keeping my senses stimulated without being distracting. The music on the other hand typically must be slow and ambient or else anything with a fast tempo or melodies just ends up being distracting.

The other thing is, once every hour or so I get up and stretch a bit. As well as this, I go and get a quick breath of fresh air and walk around for a minute or two, and once I'm back in my seat I find my mind is reset and ready to continue.

I do enjoy writing really, I could go pen blocked if I lack motivation. Inspiration to write is one thing and motivation is another. Every writer must know how to find inspiration to write but even after that we need something to keep the ink flowing. Now when I am writing I do love to listen to my pop music to keep me alive so I won't get bored but if that stops to work, then I will take a walk.

These are good advice but I would add that it is better to get up and make some stretching exercises or just a few small exercises, this would help not to damage our spine. And to relax more it would help if you would work in a quiet room with light and a nice smell!

Great tips on this discussion I find faint music in the background mellows you out. Get your mind relaxed and the less you think about "oh am going to write the best article" let the words just come to you don't think too much about it. If you find its not going as to planned have an hour a way from it and come back to it.

Thanks forthe advices! I found them really helpful. Also I will add to work in a place
with a lot of natural light and good ventilation and temperature – if we are
too hot or too cold we can’t be relax-, another tip will be to keep your work
place clean and organize, messiness is distracting and stressing to the sight
and to the mind, if we keep an organize work environment we will be more
efficient when writing and working in general.

I always take regular breaks whenever I am writing an article. During the breaks I try to do some sports or I listen to music from YouTube at times. Those do help to keep me relaxed.

My first way to get relaxed is by playing and listening music, I can choose it according to my daily mood, which means I'm going to be very wide open range person. Another thing I do is trying to be as comfy as I can, comfy clothes, soft coach or chair, some snacks, lots of water near me. When I feel completely stressed, then I take a break, nothing like walking around the house, taking a hot shower, everything that keeps you super relaxed.

Awesome tips.Being in a relaxed mood while working cannot over-emphasized.you gain more and wouldn't be excessively fatigued because you're in a comfort zone.

I relax more with a glass of juice and a mild music playing in the background.I could achieve all activities on my to-do list with this posture.

Thanks for those tips. When I write, sometimes I do have the tendency to get nervous or jittery, which throws off the quality of content I'm writing about. Normally when I write, I have a cup of green tea next to me. Also, I like to play piano jazz compilations. I feel this somewhat relaxes and eases any anxiety I may have. So far it's been working good. I look forward to implementing your techniques as well!

I don't joke with my mind while writing articles for clients and that is the reason I always take lots of water and some fruits to keep the brain fit to continue writing what I know how to do. So, I think that has not worked for me over the years as a freelancer on the internet.

I sometimes listen to music while writing. It keeps my grounded. I don't like being anxious because it makes work more difficult. So when you're happy, you're more likely to feel inspired and create better articles.

I believe having water break will also help writers to relax. They might also need to stand up from time to time. I change my position in writing from time to tie also. Sometime I sit on a chair. Next time I sit on the floor.

Sitting on the floor while writing on my computer can also be tiresome. So I would get again my small chair and sit on it. Its just a matter of discipline. I may rub my back from a post also to relax my back.
