I have a drumming forum and Facebook is my source of traffic. Therefore, I can attest it's a good way to get traffic - in certain instances. Nonetheless, though, I said the word certain. Note, probably many niches cannot easily get traffic from there and also you might have pay Facebook for more exposure. Does anyone have any idea on what niches are better in regards to social media traffic?

I have half a dozen facebook pages for my products and websites. I regularly promote my products and websites on my facebook pages. I am also on over a dozen facebook groups with hundreds of members. I have not only used facebook's free marketing tools but also used paid marketing. However, in my experience the main problem with facebook marketing is conversion. conversion rate is very poor on facebook.
I do of course get response on my sharing, for example likes and comments, but I do not get much traffic to my products and websites

As a side I make hip-hop/trap beats and I usually post a little piece of what I'm working on, on my twitter or snapchat and usually somebody messages me asking for it, so that's how I gain traffic from my social media accounts!

I get traffic though Twitter and sound-cloud, and being that I'm an artist I find Twitter and sound-cloud as my main marketing sites, Although I'm on Facebook, my fan pages are not doing so well as I don't promote my content as often on Facebook, or youtube.

Posting on facebook group definitely helps. Some of the groups on facebook have lot of people. And they do click and share the content. I have found that some of the facebook posts do earn some good random traffic if the group has no focus. Then there are some niche groups that can be used for sharing the content. But all of this requires some effort. There are times when the groups may not like the spam. So that is something you have to watch out.

I find that sharing content in Facebook would be good only if you have a lot of people sharing it with you. Otherwise, you'd have to post ads in order to gain a huge bump. Simply sharing content didn't really affect my views much back then, not a lot of people paid attention unless the topic I'm sharing is controversial.

Facebook is great. I actually have an old page I've never used there, and I was completely inactive with. But for some reason, I still get notifications about people liking my page despite the fact that I haven't been posting anything and I haven't boosted anything. It went from 50 likes to over a hundred and twenty passively for reasons I don't even know.

I have a page on Facebook too where I have shared about my blog. My friends helped me to get more followers on Facebook by sharing this page with their other friends. I have also tried to advertise my blog on other platforms. I also read about many tutorials concerning blogging.

Facebook is definitely one good way of driving traffic to your site, be it a blog or forum or even an ordinary site. What’s good in Facebook is that it is free to use in spreading the word. All you need is to post on your timeline a promotional blurb of your site and your friends there can get to see it. However, just be aware that frequent posting of the promotion will give the impression that you are spamming already. I have unfollowed several friends who had the propensity to post more than 5 times of their business. It is already annoying, you know.
