My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1

Hello Everyone!

So I've decided to post a journey discussion about dropshipping and I will be setting up a dropshipping website starting from scratch. I will tell you my day to day experiences but it could turn into a weekly post since website changes doesn't happen every day lol. I've done dropshipping before but I've never shown anyone what to do in a journey discussion, so let's try it out for everyone as Seocheckout My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1

My Plan:
I will be sourcing items from AliExpress.com and adding them to my website then running various PPC campaigns and SEO campaigns to help bring in sales. I will be running this on Wordpress using WooCommerce, but if I can find something that works better I may switch from WooCommerce to something else (not likely through). I will be creating all of the social platforms pages that I need in order to share my products and posts to anyone following the pages and profiles in order to increase my sales.

I will not be giving my niche away just in case this takes off and I make some decent money. By letting you know what my niche is, I could just be creating competition because people without a unique thought will just snipe my niche and do the same thing lol. I will give away my process and what I'm doing in terms of SEO, PPC, SMM, Keyword Research, etc.

My Goals:
My main goal is to profit, but how much I will profit is not known since I haven't done anything yet. I would like to make an extra $10,000 a month off of this and I assume that I would have to make 200 to 1,000 sales a month depending on how much I profit per sale. Now I could increase the prices of each item so that I make $1000 per sale and only need 10 sales a month to hit the $10,000 mark, but that won't happen because people shop around.

  • 1st Goal: $10,000 profit per month
  • 2nd Goal: $10,000 profit per month
  • 3rd Goal: $10,000+ profit per month

Now getting to any of these goals will take time and a lot of work, but it will be worth it. If I can hit the $10,000 or $10,000 a month goals I can then hire someone to do the work and I can just collect the rest of the profits My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1 The profit potential is unknown at this point, but I'll be doing plenty of research so I know my niche is worth targeting and there is a chance of profiting due to the low to medium competition. I will not be targeting difficult niches, so that increases my chances of turning a profit in a shorter amount of time.

My Experience:
Now I've done dropshipping before but I've never done a step by step process and shown everyone what to do so they can also profit. I don't teach too many people through the year so this will be my type of teaching for anyone who wants to set up a different source of income with a very little investment up front. You'll obviously have to pay for certain things like a domain and hosting, but the rest will be optional because I might purchase some things to help me automate some steps to make my life easier lol My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1

Conclusion:
I'm hoping that I can turn this into a profitable system for anyone to use if they are wanting to generate a first or second source of income. I'll be trying to automate this as much as possible to decrease your work load and free you up to do whatever else you're currently doing. We all need some help online when it comes to making money, hopefully this method/system will help you out My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1

In the near past, I was also interested in drop shipping. I tried to use a company that provided bulk items, but for the life of me I can not remember their name. Anyways, this company wasn't good as the profit you made wasn't much, like $2.50 to $3.00 and sometimes you didn't profit at all with some items. They had options of listing products to your ebay page as well. Now, after I tried this I decided NOPE.

If I could've found something more functional, and profitable, then maybe I would've stayed with it. I have yet to use AliExpress though. I fear the products won't be high of quality as I have heard many negative things about AliExpress. However, Razzy, you seem to know your stuff and I know you will succeed. I wish you more luck than I had. My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1

One more thing to mention, how exactly are you going to compete with Amazon? Amazon killed a lot of internet business, and physical brick and mortar businesses.

I've actually found plenty of products on Amazon that are being sourced from AliExpress lol My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1 The markups are insane sometimes too. One item I saw someone getting for $45 and selling it for $450 My Step by Step Journey with Dropshipping - Part 1 But they were sourcing from AliBaba and buying in bulk.

I haven’t been into dropshipping yet but I’ve had my previous 2 businesses in retailing. Management gurus always say that you need to define your goal in terms of sales and profit. I agree to that. However, in my experience in retail selling, the profit goal only put so much pressure in managing the sales hence the sales staff are stressed out most of the time. Or maybe our goal was not realistic at all. I am sharing this experience for the newbies not to make that mistake of setting the goal too high.

I am interested in reading other parts on this series. I have never done dropshipping, however, I am thinking to do dropshipping. I have a domain and website but have not started working on the website yet. I have checked prices on Aliexpress, and it tends to be higher than the Chinese sellers' offer on ebay, I will also have to look for other options.
