So yesterday I posted 20 Fun Ways to Stay Creative Part 1. And I hope you liked some of those fun ways and actually find them fun in doing! But since there's so many fun ways to be creative (honestly you only have to sit and think about them), and since some people don't have time to sit and think and brainstorm them! Here's another 10 fun ways to get and stay creative! This will help you if you struggle to find inspiration for blog post ideas, things to write about, even just practical stuff you can apply in your life so that your brain is firing on all pistons! 20 Fun Ways to Stay Creative Part 2

11. Listen To Music

Recent studies have shown that listening to music, whether relaxing at home, working at home or just anywhere else or doing anything else for that matter, can raise dopamine levels by as much as 9%. That might not sound like a lot but when you're feeling a little flat and low, listening to your favorite music increases dopamine levels in the brain and that gives you a little pick-me-up! And since listening to music doesn't involve doing anything other than just hearing it (listening) which requires hardly any muscles or hard work on your behalf, switch on that radio or put on your favorite jam and you'll feel boosted and much more creative!

Here's a nice track for you to listen to while you read the rest of this..

12. Surround Yourself With Other Creative People

If you want to get better at doing something, play with people that are better than you. That was how I learned to be a pool master! By playing people that were better than me, I was able to learn from the best! The same can be said for finding creativity and inspiration. By surrounding yourself, or by being around other creative people, their creative juices will rub off on you. That's not always easy. But we usually all have that one friend who is more creative than others. Invite them round or go round theirs. Pick their brains and find out what makes them tick. You'll be inspired before you know it!

13. Read The Dictionary

What? Did he just tell me to read the Dictionary? Oh yes, even if it's just one page! I know this sounds funny on the face of it but actually, the Dictionary is where I used to get a lot of my inspiration from. I have this giant Thesaurus and although I've read it all now, I still find myself picking it up and browsing through it as learning about stuff can lead to other things happening. Don't trust me? Try it and see!

14. Clean Your Workstation/space

Have you ever heard the expression "A Mans desk is a reflection of his mind"? It's true! If you have a cluttered, messy desk, your mind will likely be cluttered and messy too! But if you have an organized desk/workspace, your mind and yourself will be feeling much more organized too. So clean your workspace, tidy up and organize it. By doing so you'll feel much more organized and able to think clearly for coming up with ideas.

15. Get Some Rest!

If you're always tired and don't have much energy then you're not really going to be truly productive at coming up with new ideas and things. If you're like me, you'll need at least 8 hours of sleep each night else the next day just feels like a bit of a drag. Some people an survive on much less. But you should still get at least 8 hours sleep a day/night. Chill Winston! Get a good nights sleep and you'll wake up feeling much more refreshed and able to tackle your day. As well as have more energy which can be converted into ideas and inspiration!

16. Take Risks (Step outside your comfort zone).

Life is all about taking risks. If you are to succeed at anything in life you'll invariably need to take a risk in getting it. Whether it's a leap of faith or putting some money down on something that you need to help you grow and expand your business with. A lot of people don't like to take risks in life. But what is life if it's not for taking the occasional risk? You could dare yourself to do something too. Something you wouldn't normally do. Such as visiting your local community or civic centre and talking to people about their day, their interests, passions, hobbies etc. You'll gleam a lot from doing this for inspiration and creativity!

17. Get Some Feedback

Feedback makes the world go round. Without feedback, nobody would know if what they was doing was wrong or whether or not they actually liked it or not. You can spend a lot of time blogging and coming up with blog posts. Or even making a new product. But unless you get feedback on those posts, those products, how are you supposed to know how people feel and think about them? Don't be afraid to ask people for feedback on the things you do and put out there. Even if it's feedback on how they think you handle stuff. Getting that feedback will make you a better, smarter, more creative you!

18. Break The Rules!

Rules are for breaking! Well, they're not actually. They're there to be enforced. But in life we are constantly hemmed and edged in by rules, rules and more rules! Too many rules makes it hard to move! Hard to breath, hard to be yourself! Rules are restricting and rules can suffocate us! But sometimes in life we need to break out of the mould. We need to break the rules! I'm not talking about breaking the law and doing something illegal. I'm talking about those rules and fences we put up around us. Break them down! Trample them under your feet! Climb over them and look what's on the other side. Oh what the grass is greener? Never!

19. Don't Force It!

Coming up with ideas and inspiration for creativity can be hard for some people. But it's something that should come naturally and you should never force it! You can't force a trout into your hands. But if you're slow and gentle and tickle its belly, it will just swim right into your hands so you can grab it and cook that sucker for dinner! That's sort of how it should be when coming up with ideas and inspiration for creativity. Don't force it so that you're hurting yourself or other people in the process. The best ideas come naturally. 20 Fun Ways to Stay Creative Part 2

20. Count Your Blessings.

In life we can often be so focused on what we don't have and want that we forget about those things we do. Don't get too held up on those things you don't have. Always wake up and give thanks for your day. Think about the good things you have in your life. Be it good friends or family. Pets or possessions whatever. Count all those things as blessing from God because some people don't have those things and you do. Give thanks for that and count them as blessings. By doing this you'll be less focused on what you don't have and more content with what you do and that will help you be much more creativity.

Contentedness = Creativity!

And that's 20 Fun Ways to Be and Stay Creative!

Hope you like them! Do you do these things? Or what other things do you like to do to be and stay creative?

I think the best in your list is to surround yourself with creative people. Picking their brains eh? That’s a pretty neat idea of getting good ideas. Talking to creative people will surely give you the insight on their forte or favorite subject especially if the conversation is long and pleasant. Of course, it should not be an interview but just a conversation, a casual talk where everyone is comfortable. Maybe having snacks or a meal is a nice occasion for that. Just be ready with your note pad.
