Do You Benefit From $5 "Junk Traffic"?

Do You Benefit From $5 "Junk Traffic"?

Fellow Freelancers,
Recently we've been talking about website traffic and how vital it is for any website or blog. And obviously, these facts remains the same. Traffic is the most vital part for any successful website or blog. As traffic is also potential clients and customers.

That being said, there's been literally hundreds of new discussions regarding "junk traffic" these past weeks now. (On other internet marketing forums).

The traffic they're all talking about is traffic services for anything between $3 and $10. I guess it's due to the low cost for these services. And even though I provide traffic myself, I still want to shed some light on this subject. And with your help, I'm sure we can get something going here.

So the question I have is, "Is it worth buying these "junk traffic" services??" - And how do you know if it's in fact "junk" or not?

I mean, cheap services doesn't have to be worse in general, but it seems like that's what people tend to believe. Especially in this scenario.

The fact is that majority of website owners are ignorant about the traffic services that they see online and also they are simply blown away by how cheap it is hence they go for it not minding whether it is junk or not. all they just want to see is traffic. but sincerely speaking, the best source of traffic that can actually converts to sales and customers is that obtained by doing SEO and SMM processes and methods such as social media services, social bookmarking, creating backlinks, search engine submission etc. all these, when done properly and wit time will surely bring about the needed real traffic visitors that covers.
so there is no way that one can benefit immensely from the traffic that are bought on freelance sites. maybe a little benefit, but to get real sales and conversions, focuses must be on carrying out SEO methods over some stretch of time.

Thank you chetaseo. I appreciate your honest answer here and I would have to say that I agree with you. Perhaps not in full, as I provide traffic myself, but for most of it, sure, I do agree!

Anything you do manually by yourself, will always give you the best results. That's a fact. However, you can't do everything yourself, because you don't have the knowledge or the time to learn have to do it. - And yeah, I guess people are buying $3-$10 "junk" traffic services because they are looking for traffic. And they don't care or even know, if the traffic is in fact junk or not.

To me, $10 junk traffic equals bot traffic. Bot traffic will do absolutely nothing for your website, or your earnings. Surely you may get some ad revenue but most of the time the advertising company that you use will find out and either take the earnings from you, or suspend your account. If you buy $10 junk traffic, you are literally getting what you pay for, junk traffic.

Just do some SEO work for your site, and gain organic search traffic. Surely it can be time consuming but at least you won't get 'junk' traffic.

Yes Everett that is my concern too, I think there are too many risks involved with buying traffic than the potential benefits you can receive from the traffic. I won't risk my Adsense account by buying junk traffic, it just isn't worth it for me.

I am also a fan of organic traffic, with time and work it will come. The problem is that so many people are just looking for that quick fix, or rather what they perceive to be a quick fix.

I would rather spend $10 on something that will benefit my website long term even if I don't see any results right at this moment in time.

Yeah I have to say that I can't really see the point in buying junk traffic or any type of traffic really.

The traffic that converts for me is organic search traffic and this is gained by doing keyword research, targeting the correct keywords through content marketing and on page SEO. I also make use of a number of off page SEO techniques such as social media marketing. Then I purchase some services here to juice up my own SEO efforts.

This works like a charm. I would much rather spend $10 on one good backlink than buy thousands of visitors.

Lot of people don't know if they are getting genuine traffic or the fake. And they are just assuming that they do get good traffic. But from what I know it could be possible that some people buy it for exposure. In such case the better money spent is in the google adsense. I think you have to experiment with the paid ads instead of buying some traffic from others on sites. That's how I think it should be.

The traffic that you buy from traffic service, PTC or Traffic Exchange does not add value to your website. When you are using traffic service, PTC or traffic Exchange, the traffic is just a number. It will also earn bad reputation for your website on search engine and ad networks. Your bounce rate might increase to 100 percent. However, there is also one good aspect of buying traffic service. If you want to sell your website and show the buyer that your website generates high traffic, traffic from traffic service will help you. Furthermore, if you want to sell ad space on your website, the traffic from traffic service will also help you.
