Cool marketing trick! Give people customized free stuff related to their field and you'll get yourself a loyal user base that also offers you a free promotion!
Even though I'm not from the UK and I don't have an iPhone I can appreciate what the guys from Albert Invoicing app did. From a marketing perspective, this is very clever and I wonder what niches can this idea be also applied? I think this can work wonders for startups that need social media promotion and a fast user community, of course, you'll need to invest quite a lot initially into these products without getting much revenue in return but once you get popular enough you can start thinking of ways to monetize your user data base.

It's good that those bags are being shared, but I would like to know the essence of having the bag. Is the bag for those that are in business of freelancing and need to use the bag to market their profile as freelancers or what? I don't live in the UK and don't think such a freebie will be getting to me anytime soon.
