When requesting a time extension, will it affect the response time negatively?

The time extension feature is very helpful. Sometimes as a seller I find myself unable to keep up with an order's deadline, such as due to family problems, unexpected circumstances or sickness. Thankfully buyers have always been very helpful when I had to resort to asking for a time extension. However I was wondering if it affects my response time negatively if I use it?

If you are requesting for time extension only rarely it will not affect your rating negatively. Try not to make it a habit in every alternate order. Moreover, buyers have the freedom to leave reputation hampering feedback. So be careful.

Great I am glad to hear that the time extension feature does not affect the sellers response time or account negatively.

I have on a number of occasions placed a good few orders at once ahead of time but I don't need them all immediately. I like to stay organized and ahead of time so once I know what I want and I have the cash available I like to bulk order my content writing services and I tell the seller when I need to publish the content.

I get time extension requests and I am perfectly happy with this arrangement.

So far that i know it isn't affect any reputations and any negative review because it just only extend you delivering time and it is called as personal with buyer and seller so as long the buyer will i think it would be fine

Requesting more time wouldn't negatively effect your ratings, nor response time. I think it's just there to ask the buyer if they are willing for the order to continue for a couple more days and to make sure the order doesn't go into the late status, i believe (I have never used this feature and could be wrong) If you find that you can not deliver an order, and it's the same order that you are constantly having to request more time for, just increase the delivery time days by either 2 or 3 or so. You really shouldn't have to use the function, unless you honestly have to.

I can see that if you request more time it could possibly turn away that buyer from you, especially you were to constantly request more time if you were to continuously use the request more time feature. Use the request more time feature wisely, and don't request more time often.

It will not affect your response time but I'm pretty sure it will DO affect your average delivery time for the order!
Because if you have an expected delivery time of 10 days and you also request 2 more days for the order to be delivered, your delivery time will increase which doesn't look good when it comes to potential clients.

People want their stuff fast so try being as fast as possible, also here try keeping your "average delivery time" slightly smaller compared with your "expected delivery time".
The buyer will look at both and think: "Hey this guy is even faster than his maximum expected delivery time".
Also, the time request thing is more for the buyer, having an official way of telling the client you need more time is a great way for keeping that client no to cancel a certain order just because the seller is late.
