4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

We've all been behind the screen and typing up an article or some content for our websites and then hit a wall. What if there was something that can help us get an idea on our next post or at least give us a keyword to help us think about? Well there are a few of these tools and I'll go over them 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

I've definitely hit some walls before and then I will usually pop open one of the following 4 systems and services in order to get some ideas in a short amount of time. I can now write for as long as I wish due to the amount of information and titles I can think of in a little amount of time.

Let's get to it, shall we 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

1. Use the Google Adwords keyword planner.
Have you ever ran a Google adwords campaign in order to pull in clients from their search engine? Well if you haven't, you should definitely check it out. On adwords they have this think called the keyword planner and it's main goal is to help you with keyword ideas that are related to your main set that you already input. You can add in 10 keywords and it will develop a bunch of related keywords that you can pull an idea from. Pick a few that you like and expand on those. 2. Hubspots Blog Topic Generator
This tool is actually pretty awesome, it's extremely easy to use as well. All you have to do is submit 1 to 3 nouns or terms into the fields on hubspots blog topic generator and when you submit them it will spit out a list of topics that would take you a while to write about. If you make it through all of these topics fairly quick, you can resubmit and do it again and again 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

Since this system uses keywords, you can pair it up very well with adwords keyword planner and never run out of topics.

One of my favorite things about this system is that if you don't like the first set of ideas it spits out, you can click "Try Again" and it will spit out 5 more 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas You can actually just copy and paste the ideas and click "Try Again" to get more. Copy and paste dozens of ideas and get to writing 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

3. Use BuzzSumo to figure out trending content in order to get ideas.
The two previous methods are great for getting your own ideas on what to write up. BuzzSumo is a system that will show you what is already trending and you can write up on that if you'd like. It's already doing well so you know you don't have to test out the content 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

You can go to BuzzSumo and enter the keywords from the adwords keyword planner or you can enter one of the titles from hubspots topic generator and let BuzzSumo show you what's already being written. The results will be sorted by social shares and a few other metrics which can help you choose what to write about.

4. Use Moz Content to get ideas
Moz content is truly unique when it comes to getting ideas. A ton of marketing teams strugle with a complete content audit, but moz content can do it in a few seconds with only your websites URL 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas You can also add in your competitors URL to see what they're doing ;)

I don't use this as much as the other systems, but I wanted to let everyone know just in case they like it better than me 4 tools to help bloggers and writers get countless content ideas

Does anyone have anything else they can add?

Thanks Razzy, I am loving all these tips and guidelines you are sharing.

I have usually managed to come up with content quite easily, especially for my mommy blog. My kids inspire me every day and give me so much to write about.

However I love playing with tools like this, it is always interesting to see what comes up. I didn't know about Hubspots Blog Topic Generator so that is something I am going to enjoy checking out.

I have heard of BuzzSumo before but never used it. I am going to be seriously picking up the pace with my mommy blog now and this is going to be a great way to get things rolling. Thank you!

These are great suggestions. Thank you so much for this post. Even though I prefer to have my client tell me what title he would like me to write on, there have been some cases where they left it up to me. And it is so difficult to come up with some good topics! This can really help, and I will make sure to bear this in mind if I ever need to generate some ideas. It is also great to use these tools if one has a blog and wants to add content regularly.

It's a shame Keyword Planner is no longer accessible for starting Bloggers or bloggers that don't have any active Adwords Campaigns
I mean, yes, its still accessible, but those ranges on how much searches a keyword gets are pretty much useless.

The others suggestions you made are perfect for getting fresh ideas, I may add the following: Q&A websites, Wikipedia, youtube and of course, my favorite: Feedly - on which you need to find a lists of niched based websites and added them yourself to Feedly but its worth it, I find new ideas every time I open the thing.

I use Google Adword Keyword Planner to get the idea on keywords.
I have attended a couple of couses on Hubspot, however, I am yet to use hubspots blog topic generator. I will have to explore this option. I use Buzzsumo to learn about the contents trending on social media. The data gives me an idea on what should be the topic for my next article. I use moz bar on chrome, but I am not using Moz to get ideas.

To be frank, I don’t exactly know how the Google Adwords work much more with that keyword planner. Is it for free to anyone? And I guess that Adwordskeyword works only for the search engine optimization. That’s good if the website would land on the first page but in the lower pages, I don’t think that Adwords is not that effective and not worth the trouble of formulating the keywords. But anyway, there is a saying that beggars cannot be choosers and that Adwords keyword planner will do if you have no budget.
