Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? Whats your biggest dream to achieve?

I asked this question before in my post on What made you want to start freelancing? What lead you to where you are today? But it was only asked as a sub question and didn't get answered directly due to people sharing their stories about how they started freelancing in the first place which was really cool but just didn't gather any traction and I'm more curious to pick your brains!

So here I'm going to ask this question to all directly.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

What about 10 years time?

5 years from today it will be the 24th of August 2021.

I think that will be a very exciting time to be alive in.

I hope that I still will be and will get to see it.

As well as everyone on here I've ever met, all the guys on the mod team and buyers and sellers.

I also hope flying cars, the hoverboard and teleportation is invented by then but we'll have to live for another 5 years to see!

As for me, in 5 years time. I see myself doing what I'm doing now but on a much bigger scale. Hopefully, by then I'll own my office and be the official CEO of an Internet marketing company. Still selling and providing SEO and SMO services to people. But having a large team work under me on marketing and promotion, doing the work, admin, payroll etc. Hopefully a big wide open office with many people all working in it making the business tick over. If possible, I'd like that office to be in LA or somewhere else like that but I'll settle for The Shard.

I do have bigger dreams than that. With the main one really being I want to make a billion dollars. That is pretty much my main dream. But of course to just be happy and secure just as much as the next man. A nice house, a beautiful loving wife that can cook. Anything else a bonus lol

But we all got to work our way up and keep pushing forward!

But so what about you?

And what things would you like to see invented by 2021?

In 5 years I hope to be in my own house and not renting. And I really hope the house is paid off

I think I can do it, but I just need my damn programmer to get off maternity leave and do some work for me haha Anyone good at programming????

Anyway, I'm already a CEO of an Online Marketing company but that's just a title. Anyone can be a CEO because all you have to do is pay an incorporation fee. I don't see that as much of a success so I always push to achieve higher goals like making $3,000,000 in a year doing whatever I can that's legal. Over the years I've made enough to pay off all my debts, including school, and now I'm on track to purchase a house. I just need that one website or service that will tilt my profits to a point where I don't have to worry about spending money on an ad, like I do right now

I have a few websites that are getting ready to go, and I know that if I use my skills to market them I can get a flood of traffic in and make a good amount of money to hit my goals. Well maybe not the $3,000,000 a year mark, but that's more of a comical goal and I'll be extremely happy if I can actually achieve it

I also want to be married with a few kids. I've already got the perfect woman in my life and she came with a child, a dog and two cats so it's like my friend says, a "family starter pack" lmao


In 5 or 10 years I just want to be successful and healthy really

In 5 years time I would like:

1. To have a good few more websites than I have now, bringing in more sources of income
   
2. To have built my dream house on the plot I have my heart set on buying.
   
3. To have a good few virtual assistants
   
4. To have a lot more money
   
5. To work less hours for that money
   
6. To travel more often with my family
   
7. To invest in property in our area and perhaps either sell the property for a profit or hire it out to holiday makers
   
8. To be bringing in enough money that my husband can quit his job and start something of his own
   

I think that is about it.

I don't have dreams. I set achievable goals.

Yeah, pretty much the above quote. I always have goals and its all in my mind, as soon as I reach them I set the next target immediately. It's gotten to a point that I don't even enjoy the moment anymore because I'm already stressed about the next goal.

Anyways I never plan so far ahead, I can't set goals for the next 5 years, its too unpredictable, goals must be set short-term to mid-term; 5 years is something of a long-term.

But I'll play: In 5 years I see myself with money, a lot more money. There. Done.

In 5 years...
Hopefully, I've learned to handle my panic anxiety so my life becomes easier. Hopefully I've gained knowledge and experience enough to handle all of the panic attacks I have. Hopefully. I also wish that I've been on a real vacation. You know, that sort of vacation where you can do absolutely nothing if you wanted too.. Without worrying about bills or work. Just some time to spend doing nothing.. That would be golden. Hopefully, I'll be married too. And hopefully I'll have kids.

All of these things can be achieved.. and the future will tell.

When it comes to business, I hope I'll manage to pull through the hard times and I hope I'll be successful enough to continue to be a freelancer. It's my true passion in life. I want to be my own boss.. And hopefully I will be.

It is nice to set goals and dream what you can achieve in 5 or 10 years time. I am quite happy the way I am at the moment to be honest, so I am not aiming for anything drastic or huge. I hopefully would have a similar amount of work, and maybe earn a bit more. I hope to have settled my home loan once and for all and arranged my house as I picture it (but I need some more money to do that, so hopefully I will manage to earn and save a bit more in 5-10years time).
However I think that the most important thing is to be happy and content, and that depends a great deal on family and health, not just on work.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I can't say for sure where I will be in 5 years time, but as I am looking down the road it feels great. I want to get into real estate, and will be doing so very soon. I'm hoping to at least sell a total worth of $15,000,000 in real estate by that time. I want to build a real estate business on a large scale as large as Donald Trump's portfolio and than run for office. Just kidding, I will not be running for office. However, I do see myself taking the real estate field by storm as it were.

What about 10 years time?
In 10 years time, I see myself being really rich, and buying my own properties as investments and buying a luxary car. I also see myself expanding, and investing into many different startup companies.

I want my business to grow both online and offline. I want to develop new products and maximize my sales. I know that this is not really that easy. I need to think about many new ways to do business and perhaps change my strategies as the business world will no longer be the same. I will have to make long term plans. I am actually trying to craft some new D.I.Y items which I am planning to sell in two months time. This is taking much of my time as I have so many things to plan.

I don't have big dreams, my dreams are small.
I have a couple of websites. I want my websites to earn me money to pay my bills, buy supplies and run my daily life.
I want to publish a couple of books and I wish that the royalties from the books will help me get enough money to travel to various countries.

Many of you may have read my post about my coming retirement 5 years from now. I see myself as a full time freelancer and earning my livelihood from online work. But to be honest, I am quite scared to reach that point because I have been reading some experiences of freelancers that they work the whole day as if they are slaves of their jobs. I don’t want to be like them. What I envision as a full time freelancer is to work a maximum of 8 hours each day and have a weekend rest. As of now, I know that my vision is not practical.

I will graduate from my school in a few months and enter the fire academy as I have wanted since childhood. I hope that I will be able to pass all the entrance exams! It seems that everything is fine with my health so far, and I think that I will pass all the checks and start studying at the fire academy. And I believe that for me to enter the fire academy, I should read different articles like this https://firerecruitmentaustralia.c...refighter-in-wa/ so that I know what to prepare for. Therefore, I have plans for the next five years, but I will open my own business after I save money. But for this, I need about ten years at least.
