How long did it take you to make your first money online?

How long after first starting to make money online did you make your first income of any kind? And how did you make that income?

I am not talking making a full time income or breaking even, I only mean your first sale or commission or whatever it is that you earned.

How long did it take for your first income, how much did you make and what was it for?

If you are not English then you don't have to apologise!

Oh awesome. I have monetized my Youtube channel through Google Adsense, I struggled to get my Adsense account approved so I was with Freedom which is a Youtube partnership. I have received 2 payments from Freedom but they were so small!

I believe that Youtube partners take a massive cut, like with Freedom I only get 60%!

Now that I have my Adsense account I don't lose such a huge portion of my earnings,so if you can I would try and get an Adsense account. I think you can only get one by applying with a website though.

I used to write for a small company that outsourced articles to writers. I believe they used to pay me once a week. So after the first week I got my very first payment and I recall I was so frightened they would not pay me. So when the money appeared in my PayPal, it was as if I won the lottery as I had never earned anything online till then. At the time I recall I really needed some extra money as there were various medical expenses we had to deal with, and so it was like a godsend.

I don't remember exactly when the exact idea of making money online came into my head but I remember having a blog for about 1 year before any earnings starting rolling from selling banners and backlinks.

After than it took me another year to actually offer services as a freelancer, until then the only profit I made was out of my own blogs and websites.

My foray into online earning started with a PTC site. I was still working at the time and it was probably on top of the search pages when I launched a search. It was the only thing I can do online to earn extra cash because I had a time-consuming and stressful job. I made $10 on my first month which is just great for me as I only did it while relaxing on the sofa at night. That PTC site is still up but have far less ads for viewing that it's no longer worth the time and bandwidth to sign in.

I started earning online about 8 years back. At that time I had a full time job and was just exploring about the ways to make money online. I never thought that one day I would be a freelancer. I made my first dollar online through paid forum posting. After this I started writing my own articles online and later on I started with online selling. Nowadays I earn mostly through online selling, blogging and online tutoring.

In 2012 I made my first sale online within 2 weeks of launching my online store, but I never sold it from my website I sold it to someone that order it via email after seeing an advert I posted on my Facebook page. I sold an amber teething necklace for R120 and postage was R25 so the total was R145. (appr $21).

I found it very exciting making my first sale!

It's not always easy when starting out on a money making venture for we are going to meet stumbling blocks on the way and how we tackle those obstacles will show how braze and resilient we are on that journey.

When I started out, it wasn't easy but I never gave up, so it took me some weeks to make my first money working on the internet.

I joined Helium.com in 2007 and began publishing articles. However, after few months I lost interest. I joined Hubpages and Squidoo in 201o and publishing articles. Since i forget my login credientials, I created a second account on Helium in 2010. I made $3 on Helium in few months. In order to withdraw from helium I needed at least $40. It took me over two years to reach $40. I received my first payment from online work in 2012. It was a combined income from helium and hubpages.

I wrote my first article on a site and the article was approved the next day. I was paid the amount stated immediately. So I can say it only took hours to earn my first dollar online.

wow, you must be really lucky. It took me over six months to sell my service on Seocheckout. Even when I was working on Upwork, my bid was purchased after over 50 unsuccessful bids. However, I sold many articles on helium marketplace. My first submission was accepted and I earned $4 for writing 400 words.

I am lucky to have writer friends who taught me the ropes. I joined their forum and tried my hand in writing contents. From thereon, I have been a content provider for forums. I got my first paycheck after a month of working. At first I really couldn't believe but it was true.
