How to have your own SEO company even if you don't know what you're doing.

Now plenty of people have asked me how I know how to do all of this marketing stuff online in the little amount of time we all have each day. My simple response is, I don't!

Over the years I've set up a really good pool of freelancers that I can send work to whenever I want and they will do it better than I could and quicker than I thought was possible. Obviously some of the SEO related jobs won't be quick because you have to slow roll it, but that's normal.

Anyway, I set up a side project once and all I did was outsource the work to credible SEO people, web designers and programmers. And you can do the same thing with these tips below How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Step 1: You'll need a hosting account set up for your website if you don't already have one. I like to use namecheap or t35hosting.com for my websites because I've never really had much downtime.

Step 2: You'll need to install wordpress on your hosting account, which is pretty simple. Go to your dashboard or cpanel and look for "Wordpress" it could also say "Wordpress Installer". Install wordpress on your hosting but make sure the destination isn't set to the default /wp just delete that and it will show on your index and home page.

Step 3: Go buy this theme from themeforest: https://themeforest.net/item/seo-wp-online-marketing-seo-social-media-agency/8012838
After you download that theme, install it onto your hosting/wordpress. I like this theme because it comes with one click installs for your images and content, which is pretty awesome. You'll have to edit your content if you want to rank in the search engines, but that simple to do.

Step 4: Go to the Seocheckout marketplace and find some sellers who have all around services. These will be services that do everything from on page optimization to off page optimization and content creation. Barry Siam sells some pretty good all around packages, check him out. You can set up as many services as you want on your website, just be sure that the person you pick on Seocheckout has plenty of good reviews and a good seller rating.

Step 5: Set up "your" services on your newly set up website. Write your own description of the service for SEO purposes. After you sourced all the products off of the Seocheckout marketplace and have them on your pages, you now need to maket them How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Step 6: Go on adwords and set up ads for each of your services. I normally test out all my service pages with a $15 a day budget but each page has at least 6 ads so I can split test them. Every ad will be under the $15 a day budget so that I don't go broke on bad keywords lol.

Step 7: As the orders come in, outsource them immediately to the person you chose and contact the buyer telling them the order is in progress and they will get a report in XX days.

Step 8: Once the freelancer is done with your work, immediately send it to the buyer and wait for a response.

That's it How to have your own SEO company even if you don

The best part about this is that you don't buy anything until you already sold it to someone else How to have your own SEO company even if you don The only thing you'll have to pay for is the marketing of your website, the theme, the domain, and the hosting.

I really like your stuff Raz it always gives me food for thought and gets the old brain cells firing into new directions! How to have your own SEO company even if you don This doesn't look that that bad a working model on the face of it to be honest. And let's be brutally honest, most SEO agencies are set up like this aren't they? I mean, they have the flashy website, the mega promises, the guise that they're a professional working organization. But really that couldn't be further from the truth. Really, it's just a dog working on a PC. So this sort of reminds me of this meme.
How to have your own SEO company even if you don

But it doesn't mean to say that you can't provide a professional service to people. Provided you only outsource the work to high quality professional freelancers and SEO's that are reliable and always come through every time. And you already know them and have used them before in the past. You can "fake it till you make it". Then once the orders are coming in thick and fast, you can use the money you're earning to expand your enterprise. Hire more staff to handle the orders and more freelancers and SEO's on your payroll. I'm pretty sure that most SEO's and SEO business's start off like this and then go on to become really mega successful and popular SEO's in the game. lmao that meme How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Yeah, I'm sure that at least 90% of the SEO and Marketing companies out there are doing this and saying they do it themselves. I outsource some of my own work, but with my monthly clients I like to be more hands on and get everything done. I usually only outsource the work if I'm swamped with small orders or have too many monthly orders in progress. I'll also outsource if I have too much on my plate with other websites that I'm trying to set up How to have your own SEO company even if you don

This is cool, Razzy. Thanks!

Plenty of successful business owners are just really good at delegating and providing a platform. You can hire other people to do the hands-on stuff. A grocery store owner might not know how to stock produce, but he can hire an expert in that area, for example. Of course, he may do better to know about stocking produce - and would be wise to learn, but if he has a trusted manager for that, he'll be okay to open up shop.

How do you send the orders to your experts? Do you keep a spreadsheet system and pay via paypal?

I like it. Great guide, man!

How do you send the orders to your experts?
I just log into Seocheckout and buy the service as if I were the website owner How to have your own SEO company even if you don I just input the information that was given to me by my client and add it into the "Information Needed" page after I order it here on seocheckout.

I have my clients pay me through paypal and my Seocheckout account is linked through paypal, so if my balance gets low here, I can pull directly from paypal to pay for the service. And since the clients money went to my paypal, I will always have enough to pay for what I have to How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Do you keep a spreadsheet system and pay via paypal?
I keep an excel spreadsheet of all my orders and that's how I keep track of them. I'll mark them as "paid" and then "delivered" once I send them the work. After they say they're happy I'll go into the spreadsheet and add "Done" so I don't have to go back to it. I'll also add my download links of where I put their files for download. This comes in very handy if someone files a dispute in paypal because I can post a link in the dispute showing paypal the work was done and on time. The client who opens the dispute usually goes away but will leave the dispute open. If they don't respond within a couple weeks the dispute is put in my favor How to have your own SEO company even if you don

There is nothing wrong with delegating certain tasks. I guess nobody can be an expert at everything, and even if one feels that he is knowledgeable in everything, he is not going to have a sufficient amount of time to see to everything well enough. I cannot fully agree with you about the fact that anyone can have an SEO company even if one does not understand much about it. There is a good probability that one would end up offering low quality services if that is the case. When you delegate something you need to supervise and check what they are doing, and if you do not understand anything, you cannot do that.

The way around this is to only hire people that are good at what they do. And since all the sellers on Seocheckout are rated by previous clients, it's not difficult to figure out who is good and who should be avoided lol.

The good sellers will always get the work done on time and they tend to over deliver, which everyone likes How to have your own SEO company even if you don

About 2 years ago, I actually helped some people set up this exact system you described. I did this for a couple of niches including SEO. The model of setting up a website and creating SEO packages to sell does work and can generate serious income. I don't think that there is anything wrong doing a model like this because the SEO professionals get more work, get to do the actual work and they also earn a lot more. For their efforts the website owners do earn money from the packages they sell but they are also acting as free sales people for the SEO professionals. Sales both online and offline is hard work and I would always welcome free sales people, who wouldn't? I think this model is a win - win for all.

It's definitely a win win for everyone How to have your own SEO company even if you don

The only downside is that if the client finds out you're outsourcing the work to a third party, because they found the third party, they will want their money back and then cut out the middleman (you).

idealmike

Not necessarily, at the end of the day, whether you're doing the work yourself or just acting as the middleman, you're job is to provide them a gateway to that service via your website and your job is to make sure that they get the work they've paid for and it's your responsibility to make sure the SEO you're using is a reliable one that does good quality work. You could add something like this in the terms and conditions of your site to say that you use 3rd party SEO's to outsource the work to but that you've taken every reasonable step to ensure the SEO's you do use are verified and good quality SEO's. That way you're covered from the start and they have no legs to stand on should they ask for a refund. How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Interesting. Thanks for sharing... I had a similar idea and I think it works for many niches, not only for SEO. Actually it's like managing a project... Not complicated.

Oh what a stunning explanation of how I can literally have my own SEO Company Razzy, damn your posts always get my brain working overtime.

I do tend to disagree with you a little bit in that someone that knows absolutely nothing about SEO wont be qualified enough to know which services and sellers to choose or even how to properly reword these services.

In addition one thing that makes me a little edgy is that if someone asks me a question about my business I would like to be able to answer immediately myself in my own way. I would not like if a customer asked me a question and I have no idea what the answer is and then have to ask the seller and maybe wait a while for an answer and possibly not even quite understand the answer....

But yes this is a brilliant idea and I have gotten a lot from it. you've certainly opened my mind to the opportunities.

For something like this, how do you set your prices for your clients? And do you pay the SEO specialists a percentage of what you get from the client, or just whatever their asking price is for a service?

TommyCarey

It depends on what kind of client you're targeting.

If you're targeting newer website owners then you won't be able to price your monthly subscription more than a couple hundred dollars. But if you're targeting larger corporations then you can start at a few thousand dollars and even land a couple that are $15,000+ per month How to have your own SEO company even if you don

This is interesting. However, the process looks tedious. Everything is good except contacting the actual seller and asking him to do the job. I think having your own affiliate Seocheckout marketplace and then marketing the store is a better idea. I am thinking to purchase some scripts and use it on my website to generate affiliate sales. I think adword campaigns will be a good way to bring sales.

Okay, I see that it is actually outsourcing the job. This is a neat trick that is similar to Uber and Grab. They are like agents or brokers who find the demand and the supply then they connect the passengers with the vehicles. With an SEO company that you are saying, it would be the same since you will be looking for the supplier or the people who can do the job and you will also be finding for clients who need SEO work for their website.

impossible to own seo company and you dont know what you doing that mean bad quality services and make the industry worst

Enter a reason for deleting this comment

Cristian

I tend to agree with Sanfora. But I guess you can always follow Razzy's steps and have a chance at success.

So Razzy, you are basically talking about outsourcing everything. You also need to have a starting budget for both Google Adwords but also buying the initial services from freelancers.

It will take quite some to for you to start rolling the money into profit. I'm not saying it's not a good idea and people aren't already doing it, but I needed to mention the fact that it's a pretty complicated system.

For example: Let's say you have an order for building backlinks, you go to the seller on Seocheckout and place the order, the seller is a little bit late with the delivery and your original client issues a paypal dispute (which more certainly will win). Now you are left with a negative balance.
Or maybe there is a problem the other way around. You get an order and outsource that order to a guy that does sloppy work, you'll get into 2 disputes at once.

Again, not saying it won't work, just stating out some problems I've encountered over the years when I outsourced in this way.

That could indeed happen. I guess that's why it's important to make sure you know that the people you buy from (outsource to) are reliable and come through for you time after time. Otherwise you will be taking a risk. But that said, fortune favors the brave you know? And sure, sometimes things might go pear shaped. But if you have good customer service skills, there is no reason why that buyer should feel like they've been done over or delivered a bad service. Just keep them happy, offer another service for free, that kind of thing. There's always a way of turning things round when you think about it. How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Enter a reason for deleting this comment

TommyCarey

That certainly does happen, and it's heart breaking when it does. But you will make more happy clients that are more than willing to come back time and time again to buy than angry clients spending thousands with their first order and filing a chargeback because their order is 1 day late.

To avoid this, if the service is suppose to take 7 days, you will have to put a disclaimer near the "Buy Now" button that says "This service will take 10-15 days to complete. This way people will think it's going to take up to 2 weeks and then they get the report after 7 days. Even if the person is late with the order, you still have 8 days to get it. And if you're paying a guy/girl to do work for you and it's crappy, you shouldn't have purchased from them in the first place How to have your own SEO company even if you don

Yes I agree with you there Razzy, I always recommend adding on some time to lead times no matter what industry you are in,

Rather complete things faster than promised and make your customers happy, plus on the odd occasion something runs late you have some extra time before your customer expects their order.
