"Bold and aggressive in leading " - don't know where I got this quote from but it stuck in my mind for some reason. I also have it on my LinkedIn profile. I identify with this philology in pretty much everything life throws at me. Be aggressive and have guts in everything you do, always set a next goal once you reached one.

Good one Cristian. Being bold, confident and willing to make it happen is a great way to lead your life. So no matter what challenges come your way, you have that inner power that gives you a boost and a determination to remain committed at whatever you want to achieve.

I actually don't have a quote or saying that inspires me the most. It's actually a video What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

The video isn't animated, it's just pictures with a voice over. But those pictures are of Arnold Schwarzenegger and he's doing the voice over as well lol. The first time I heard it, it put chills through my body and pumped me up so much that I worked all day long. You can watch this when you feel burnt out and it will instantly energize you to get more work done. It's possibly one of my favorite videos on YouTube because it's pushed me so many times when I was down.

Here's the video:

I just watched it again and want to work another 10 hours What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career? It's 4:09pm here right now so I don't think my girlfriend will be too happy when I break the news to her that I'm working through the night lol What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

As freelancers and full time online marketers we will get burned out from time to time. We need to find that one thing that makes us push ourselves just like Arnold. If you can't find that, you're going to be out of this niche in a short amount of time. We all get beat down from time to time because of websites that we think are going to be great and end up flopping. I've put in 2 months of work on a site to launch it and then not make a penny, it hurts, but I'm still here.

When I'm down I'll watch that youtube video of Arnold and get pumped.

We all need to pick out heads up from time to time and a little motivation is all we, usually.

i agree man i believe that as a free lancer and as a person who works for himself you have to be able to push past any of those hard times you may face down the line in our line of work, and i believe that Arnold has his points and his push through and find that motivation to do it at any cost attitude is great, motivation is really key especially self motivation we should be able to get our selves pumped to fall through and get over rough patches i am glad you found so much inspiration from this video it is great

Hey jkeyz,

We all have our battles, mine is being lazy but pushing myself to make money online lol. We've all been in a situation where we were making someone money, living well, and then it was taken away. Well at least that's how it was for me lol. I had enough funds in my account to bounce back with new ventures, but I didn't like the position I was in and my friend sent me this video which pulled me through some tough days.

At one point I thought I wasn't going to make money online and I was going to break down and get a 9 to 5 and work 40+ hours listening to someone with the IQ of a rock tell me what to do because they've been there for a few years and I'm a new hire, ugh What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

I didn't want to do that so I sat down, brain stormed and then I busted my ass and turned a website profitable within a pretty short time. At one point I was signing at least 1 client a day and they were paying a minimum of $750 a month What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career? I built up my client list and had my team work on the campaigns while I searched for programmers and designers to work on even more projects What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

That was very inspirational Razzy. Well done for staying strong even through tough times. That is what we all need to do, as there are always going to be pitfalls and negative moments where we feel so discouraged that it feels as if it is impossible to rise up and continue. But if we find that strength to do so, then we will be stronger than ever. Ultimately it is all about willpower I guess, and keeping it as alive as possible despite the various issues, circumstances and problems that try to pull it down or away from you. Be empowered and confident always, just like Arnold!

i find that really exciting it is times like that , that i really live for , times like that stand out more then others , the times were you have enough funds in your account to bounce on too new ventures and forms of revenue it is all about making sure you walk through those doors of opportunities when you have them and not looking back there are too many people who dont even try and are miserable working those 9 to 5s you know and it is sad to see that and then there are those of us that really have made a difference in there changes

Razzy this is inspirational. Thanks for sharing about your experiences.

Everyone has down days or months and sometimes years, it is what you do with that that really counts. Do you give up and live a life that isn't doing it for you or do you keep on pushing until you get what you want.

I have been following a lot of your comments and I love the way that you are so positive and a go getter.

I am sure you will achieve everything your heart desires..., yes with blood, sweat and tears but I am sure you will get it.

Thanks Lynne What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

I try not to post debbie downer stuff or tell someone they aren't right. Positivity all the way What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

I actually had a guy today, who's in the SEO field, say he wouldn't hire me because of one of my posts. It's basically because I didn't add every little detail to my post and I just hit bullet points. Instead of me telling him he was a moron, I explained why I posted in that fashion and he understood. Hopefully I changed how he thinks and speaks, but I doubt it.

Oh, and in the end I found out that the guy who said he would never hire me actually runs his own SEO company. Why the hell would he hire me in the first place? lmao What is the quote/saying that inspires you most? Do you apply it in your freelance career?

Seriously? That is so weird. Some people are just so strange.

It takes all types and yes positivity is always key.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You got that right Lynne every one does have those down days those days where every thing can seem to be against you and gravity can seem to feel about a million times heavier then it should be , things do get hard and times do get rough and I think that is the purpose of being able to find things in life that inspire you and speak out to you enough to to keep you motivated it is the reason for these quotes and videos getting remembered it is those hard times that make the good times so much sweeter

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Oh yes, I know those days well. I have had plenty of those in my life. It is what you with it that counts.

I have also found that when you stick with things are really make a go of it even when things are tough the successes are just so much sweeter aren't they?

When things are easy to achieve there is not the same level of satisfaction as when you had to really fight and work hard for it.

Wooohhooo Razzy, that was an awesome and inspiring video. I love Arnie to bits because he is just plain inspiring and a role model to look up to in every way. He set out to accomplish so many things and he achieved them all.

Arnie is without a doubt on of my favorite celebrities, so thank you for sharing that with us.

i think one of my favorite all time lines would have to be "if it aint broke dont fix it" lol haha i would have to say i probably can name a few reasons that this line stands out to me so much honestly though one of the main reasons i think this goes so well connecting with me is that i was one of those people who was hard headed coming up and every one expected a lot of failure but i made some thing happen with every move , so i feel like this speaks for me if it aint broke dont fix it , i was making my way just fine you know there was no need to try to steer me a different path type of thing

and if i may another one for me would also be "tough times dont last tough people do" and believe it or not this is actually a song lyric form the rapper fabolous who i happen to be a fan of , this quote really stands out too me in all honesty , it is just that i have been through so much in my life and i ran in to pretty dark times that would have gotten the best of any strong minded person but i pulled through and turned my situation around by staying strong and keeping faith .

Oh there are a lot of quotes that I really love and that I keep in my mind when I am working.

My dad has given me a lot of inspiration and has truly been there for me in the good times and the bad. He has been one of my biggest supports and has always lifted me up.And as a very successful business owner, that started from nothing, he is a role model to me.

Here are some of the things my dad keeps telling me:
  • If you want something, don't ever give up, be like a dog with a bone and hang on no matter what.
  • If something is not working don't give up, just change what you are doing.
  • Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

Then some other quotes that really appeal to me and keep me going are:
  • If you haven't made a mistake you have not tried anything
  • An obstacle is often an unrecognized opportunity
  • Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity

Loved these Lynne. They make a lot of sense.
  • Obstacles can indeed be unrecognized opportunities, and that is why we should never be afraid of them, but rather face them with confidence.
  • Negativity is without a doubt something we should distance ourselves from as soon as we can, including people who try to pull you down with their useless comments.
  • Only people who makes mistakes are the ones who can say that they have tried. Failing is not wrong, it shows that at least you gave it a go.

Your dad is a very inspirational man indeed - I loved those 3 too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

CryptoGuru
You right about these man they really do stand out I like the one that says only people who make mistakes can say they have tried failing is not wrong cause it shows you attract gave things a go, and that quote really speaks to me man it really does cause it is too many times were people really beat them selves up for failing at things and people decide to ignore the bigger picture people will go into a depression reliving there failure instead of taking the time out to find the good in there flaws and I feel that's why some people struggle harder then others , it's the negativity

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Yes definitely. The only people that truly fail are the ones that never try t all.

Negativity is without a doubt something we should distance ourselves from as soon as we can, including people who try to pull you down with their useless comments, oh man I wish I would of heard this sooner there is just some thing about this one that really hits the nail on the head with the hammer it is just that I have been through plenty of times were people's negative comments would reach me and you do not know how many times I have struggled trying to keep it together dealing with these people of course now I know better but if I would of heard some thing like this back then would of been a Great help

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Thank you! Yes he has given me a lot to look up to. In fact I spent a lot of my life feeling not good enough because I always thought I had to prove something to him, like I wasn't doing anything good enough.

One day I was all crushed because I had failed at something I wanted to do and I was devastated. He then asked me why I kept pushing myself so hard and setting basically impossible goals. He asked why I have such high expectations of myself. I thought it was him that expected those things of me.

It is strange how people assume things and things are often so far from that.

If you want some thing don't give up be like a dog with a bone and never let go ? Oh man that is golden I am a real dog lover my self so this just stood out too me I liked this quote I also like what it stands for , I feel it is talking about the ability to stand against the rough of times and to be able to follow through in every thing and any thing that you put your mind too, it is such a simple quote with such a powerful meaning I really like it Lynne

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes I love it too. Every time I called him in tears telling him things weren't working out like I had planned he told me that.

And recently I called him to tell him about some really awesome recent successes and he told me he knew I could, it was inevitable with all the work I have put in.

It is so nice to know that I always have someone on my team supporting me and believing in me.

Another one that stands out for me would be you can't teach an old dog new tricks, I like this one a lot cause there's a lot of truth behind this especially dealing with clients , have you ever ran in to a customer that was just difficult to work with preference wise they just made things some what complicated even untentional well it happens you know and I feel this is the perfect satin to describe that, you know you can expect change from some one who is already stuck in there ways it is a known fact of life

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Oh but sometimes you can! This old dog has learned a lot of new tricks LOL

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

CryptoGuru
Lol yea in a way you got that right you can teach an old dog new tricks but is every dog willing to learn is the question any body could say they re invent themselves but how many are actually wiling to commit them selves in to really taking the time and steps in to making such life changes I like the quote cause it shows understand of a person that is stuck in there ways but I suppose you do make a great point saying that you can learn new things whenever if you out Your mind to it

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Oh yes I know a good few people that I would call an "old dog" in this situation. Like you say there are so many people that get so stuck in their ways and if they wanted to make the change they certainly could, the problem is that they are so stuck they are not even willing to admit there are other ways or to take the risk to try something new.

I find these people are scared and that is why they won't try anything new. I can only speak for myself when I say that it is not easy stepping out of my comfort zone! Learning something new is usually stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Another good one is "in the end we only regret the chances we didn't take" and this goes with just living in general , see there are people in life who are just alive not too much extra to add to that but then there are people in life who are living the people who are passionate about what they day those people that separate themselves from the average joe, I feel we all need to strive to be like those people who live for what they want no regrets, it is true you regret things more when you didn't try

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
This is huge for me too Jkeyz2. I have lived a life with loads of mistakes, because I am addict and I used for 15 years. But I have changed my ways and I have made amends where I can. Even so I don't have any regrets.

I use my experiences with drugs for good now, to try and help other people find recovery. And I like the person I am today and everything I have been through has made me into who I am now.

I have no regrets and it is a good feeling.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

And Lynn I have the greatest amount of respect for you for that I really do you are able to speak about things with out fear I have to say I am pretty impressed with what you are doing and accomplish in using your past situation to your advantage it takes a lot for some one to go through the things you went through and turn there life around and it's also takes a lot to even after you have turned things around you take it a step further and use your negatives to help people and turn things into something positive

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

"Life is about making an impact not making an income" this one speaks man it really does I feel so many times in life people do tend to let there career get the best of them and that goes without saying that money is the root of all evil in a lot of cases greed consumes people they stop living and become completely over whelmed with work and that can really take away from someone's spirit and character in general people become numb to the world and I feel this quote does shed light upon issues of that area you know

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

CryptoGuru
"Strive not to be a success to to rather be of value" mostly every one in life with a good head on there shoulders just wants one thing to be successful and that is not that hard to figure out with out success you can't get no where in life at all but this quote really speaks out so many times you see people get engulfed in there own success that it tears them apart and that can be horrible to go through but building your self up as someone of value you will always have your purpose in life I feel this quote speaks wonders

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

CryptoGuru
And one of my all time personal favorites would have to be "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" and even though this is actually a basketball quote it has good value if you read between the lines you can see what it is clearly saying is that you don't know what the potential in something is endless you take the risk and if you are not the type too take risk and do not even try to attempt to take any risk then you might miss out on certain things of life due to your lack of confidence

I am not really after quotations or sayings but one thing that propels my spirit to continue with my freelancing work is the inspiration I get from the other freelancers. It is like saying that if they can do it then I can do it also. Whenever I would read testimonials of success from other freelancers, there is an adrenalin rush that wanted me to do what I had read. Freelancing is not an easy job and we probably need to get motivation from those inspiring stories of successful people.
