How to broadcast live on Facebook?

I just watched a really amazing live feed from a Big Cat Rescue page on Facebook. Now I'm fascinated with this concept of streaming live from Facebook.

Please tell me how this is done and if you would ever use that option or if so, then for what purpose?

I think it could be a good option for many types of Facebook pages or businesses, maybe as a way to connect with fans.

The comment section just exploded with people's feedback. And, it was a very cool experience as everyone was having an instantaneous/live conversation with one person answering another's question from a previous comment. And, even the moderator of the live feed was able to comment back when some people watching had technical/audio issues.

Anyway, this is something I'm eager to learn more about, if you have any info.

Thanks.

Yes I heard about this recently and I would love to give it a go, but I'll be honest I am a little nervous to try it. I do Youtube videos but I upload videos, I haven't done any live streaming before. I would think it would be quite nerve wracking!

This reminded me of Twitch live streaming, which is very popular with Gamers. As for the nervousness, I think that goes away after awhile as you're more confident in knowing what your fans want to see from these streams. And, the interaction element, where they are posting comments and you can see and interact with them is such a huge benefit, a great way to get in contact with fans and keep them interacting with you.

You probably can think of a number of potential broadcasting opportunities that would work for you, hey you might live-stream a major company announcement, a seminar, or some sort of participatory event, or you could aim for something more content-intensive like an interview or you could use the live feature for entertainment let your friends and family see you doing daily activity in your everyday life at home or on the go. Facebook live is next gen broadcasting the future is here . it gives you options to reply and communicate with everyone that takes the time to watch you

Those are some really good ideas actually. The one you mentioned about live streaming the daily life events would be so great for a family related page, a great way to keep all members of the family up to date, especially those living overseas or in other states.
